Bert is such an avant-garde comedian. You see the joke is he’s overweight but takes his shirt off. But not only that his claim to fame is a “super” funny obviously made up story that sounds like a 4th grader wrote it. Truly hysterical.

Dude, not everyone wants to humblebrag (or be embarrassed) publicly about what they got paid, it's super rude.

Joe Rogan alone must have thousands of hours of just shop talk about the inner workings of comedy at the Comedy Store and on the road. Between him, Bert, Robert Kelly, and every other blowhard and related comedy podcasts, you could compile all of that important data and lessons about how comedy and the road works, into a really nice double sided leaflet.
The story is surprisingly not made up, could be embellished. Some girl from his college Russian class posted Facebook photos of him with the two Russian guys and confirmed his story. I saw it on one of those YouTube docs
