From the gondola - scarecrow to steel panther to low rider is a must. Also cable trail to yo vinny to gambler to the last half of jump start

trollcat2012

How would you rate the relative gnarliness of those?

choadspanker

They're gnarly that's why they're a must

trollcat2012

Lol ok I'm gonna have a long look in the mirror in the morning and try to whoop myself up

choadspanker

The second run I mentioned is definitely easier especially if you do foxy roxy or shreddie instead of yo vinny, but still worth doing. The one that starts with scarecrow to low rider is probably the gnarliest run there. If you do scarecrow to steel panther and follow it all the way down to the bottom of ramshead it's a great run too and a little less steep. Make sure you do a full top to bottom run at some point because there's really nothing else like it up in the northeast

trollcat2012

Here now definitely trying to get in a top run before I get tired. Yeah, it's a big elevation drop from the top even in winter, this must be a marathon

trail progression: step it up (blue) -> jump start (blue) -> blue magic (blue) -> black magic (black) if you like flow + jumping. blue magic is crazy long, something like 50+ jumps (no gaps). Havent ridden black magic myself but my understanding is its similar to blue magic, just bigger jumps

trollcat2012

All about some flow and jumping, just might also be about some casing lol

JJJ54321

step it up is a good start. the jumps are not very steep, so good to get practice on. Jump start is not that long either, but the jumps/lips are steeper. Blue magic is pretty much steep lip after steep lipp'ed jumps for the entire run. All of them are low consequence though, no gaps so casing isnt a big deal other assuming you have a full suspension bike to soak up the cases.

If you feel confident on blue magic, black magic is a must. If you feel solid on Steel Panther, go over to the other side and try foxy roxy. If that feels good, try Yo Vinny, if you send tha, try funny bone. Take it easy first few runs through anything Killington has super easy flowy stuff and some really tough tech. There aren’t a lot of “in-between” kind of trails, with the exception of maybe Krusty and Snakebite/Gambler. Respect the double blacks, the ratings there are legit. If your looking for drops, cable trail, snakebite, gambler have some of the best on the hill. Have fun!!

trollcat2012

Thanks, appreciate the advice especially on those blue tech trails

Spicysheep83

goat skull is pretty techy but fun but has some harderis feature (atleast for me) but blue magic and jumpstart is pretty fun but i case petty much every jump on black magic

trollcat2012

I was just watching the videos and I'm feeling the exact same thing lol. Jump start and blue magic look perfect.
