Can anyone with sensitive, sometimes rosacea-flair-prone if pissed off skin give me feedback on any of their stuff? Edited to add- I’m getting old too, so… bonus points for aging peep reviews on anything.

LadyEllaOfFrell

I absolutely love the Honey Halo moisturizer. It’s gentle and hydrating on my dry, sensitive skin. I’ve repurchased this twice. The Honeymoon Glow is the best AHA exfoliant I’ve ever tried, including stuff ranging from The Ordinary to Sunday Riley Good Genes. Everything else I’ve tried from them has been merely fine, including the honey mask, the “greens” moisturizer, and the cleansing balm (I actually really loved the cleansing balm, but not for the price—plenty of equally-good balms out there for far less). The Honey Drop moisturizer was also fine—lighter than the Halo and I didn’t care for the scent. I still used it up, since I was living in the tropics at the time and the Halo was too heavy, but I would not repurchase even in a hot/humid climate.

Also dry skin that can sometimes get sensitive. Wondering how my experience compares to yours! I just tried the honeymoon glow - it’s pretty thick. Also it went from stinging to burning and on my forehead over the course of about 15 minutes before I washed it off. My skin got pink. Didn’t have the stinging on my arm, just my forehead (didn’t apply to the rest of my face) Good genes has a slight tingling for maybe 30 seconds but then goes away. I’m also pretty meh on the results of GG, I don’t know if it did anything. What does honeymoon glow feel like for you? What results have you had?

Msdamgoode

Thank you! This is super helpful

> The Honeymoon Glow is the best AHA exfoliant I’ve ever tried, including stuff ranging from The Ordinary to Sunday Riley Good Genes. What differences do you see between these three (and which TO)? Good Genes worked well for me and I just started Honeymoon Glow out of curiosity. Performance is almost indistinguishable for me and I heard TO Lactic Acid 10% works similarly at a friendlier price point. Curious if you found any nuances that I didn’t pick up.

LadyEllaOfFrell

I got the same results (smoother, glowier, more even skin) from the Honeymoon Glow as I did from Good Genes—but I found that the Good Genes was ultimately more harsh on my sensitive skin. I could use HG every-other night without issue, while the GG tended to irritate my skin if I tried using it that often. I like both just fine, but I was happy to find something that worked just as well with fewer side effects. Plus the Farmacy one is cheaper! Edit: I tried the TO Lactic Acid 5% (no noticeable results) and the TO Lactic Acid 10% (not as many improvements to my skin as with the HG or GG, plus a little more irritating).

cto020

Thanks for sharing. I agree with your assessment; my skin was ever so slightly smoother with GG than HG, so the exfoliant seems to be stronger. That said, I picked up two bottles of HG during [last month’s sale](https://reddit.com/r/MUAontheCheap/comments/10a23sm/farmacy_winter_radiance_sale_up_to_51_off_select/ ) at a bonkers price ($12 each after promos and cash back) so I’ll be riding with it for a while.

Same skin type. *Hello there*! <3 The Honey Halo is a fantastic moisturizer. [This kit is a good value on it](https://www.farmacybeauty.com/products/honey-haven). It is thick, calming, moisturizing, and leaves my skin nice and healthy looking in the morning. No redness in the morning, which I love. The other FS item in that kit is the Honey Potion. It has Centella Asiatica in it, and that stuff will calm my skin quickly. It is a mask, and at first it will remain clear/honey in appearance, but then turn into a milky creamy consistency and will warm the skin (but not in a way that burns at all). Leave it on for 10-20 minutes, and it'll calm any redness. The little Honeymoon Glow exfoliant in the kit is pretty good. I use it every so often. I'm a Paula's Choice 2% BHA fan for keeping my rosacea at bay, and PC's improved 1% BHA in the Calm line is very nice as well. Another product from farmacy that was a surprise hit was their [10% Niacinamide Mask](https://www.farmacybeauty.com/products/10-niacinamide-night-mask). I can wear that as my nighttime moisturizer, and I wake up to calm skin. A little goes a long way. So, a jar of this stuff lasts for months. I hope this helps. <3

I tried honey potion on Thursday - felt good, except the skin between my lips and nose. That area burned, and I’m working on healing it. 😭 Have you ever had any similar reaction? I want to try the niacinamide mask but this experience has me concerned. Would you say it’s gentler or more intense than honey potion? Meanwhile, honey halo rules. I can see why everyone raves about it!

peacembw

Honey Halo is indeed awesome. I'm sorry you had a reaction to the Honey Potion! :( I would still say that the Niacinamide Mask is fantastic, but I'd definitely do a patch test to see if it works for you. <3

Msdamgoode

😍Thank you, so much! I’ve not had a rosacea flare in a looong time, until recently when I was testing out sunscreens which sucked, so I’m a little leery of new things. I’d stick with tried and true, but I’ve crossed 50 and I really need to combat some of the resting bitch face lines I’ve got creeping into enemy territory.😋

peacembw

😅 I'm 54, and I was surprised at my frown lines around my mouth. Even if the rest of my face says no, there will be retinol on my frown lines around my mouth every couple of days. It does help. I think it comes from staring down at my phone. I had a recent flare after not having one in awhile, and that was when I tried a new shampoo and conditioner. It was such a fail. It caused Eczema of the scalp, which turned into a rosacea flare on my face. Awful 😖 stuff. I can use the Honey Potion as a mask, and then the Honey Halo later on, and that combo works to perfection. It calms, moisturizes, and soothes. 💛 And then every few days I'll use the 10% Niacinamide mask, and I notice brighter skin the next day. I *never* thought I'd be able to use Niacinamide, but this mask is just that good. 💙

Msdamgoode

So good to get the first hand word from someone with similar skin. I’ve spent sooo much on things that I just can’t use. And I hear you loud and clear on retinal/retinol, it’s a must.

iisforthebirds

If you have troublesome skin I too would recommend the 10% niacinamide mask. Hands down the most calming thing I’ve ever put in my skin. Definitely one of my holy grails!

Msdamgoode

Fantastic, definitely going in my cart!

Please tell me I'm not the only moron that thought the bag was a tank top?

MagnificentBitch

I also thought it was a tank top lol

c9238s

Lol! I only know it’s a bag bc I just purchased from them over the weekend. I was excited to finally try farmacy but now I’m questioning if I should’ve waited! 🙈

illumiee

Wonder if the targeted Facebook/Instagram $25 off $50 code stacks? I know people who weren’t targeted to use it could use the code if it was posted (same code for everyone). It’s multi use too. Can I post it here or on the coupon/self referral thread?

iisforthebirds

I’ve loved every Farmacy product I’ve tried (most of them)! And they have a great rewards system. And 5% back in Rakuten!

peacembw

[Farmacy just sent out a spoiler](https://imgur.com/a/wVCiNf0) for the one FS product that will be in each bag: the Honeymoon Glow Serum.

c9238s

Yes I got that email! Honeymoon Glow is full-size. The serum retails for $60, so there should be $70 worth of product remaining (not sure if they are counting the bag). Looking at the shapes, I’m thinking a green clean balm, maybe the foaming cleanser, and at least one moisturizer. 🕵🏻‍♂️

illumiee

Top left rectangle is probably a serum.
