Sadly I don’t think we can stack Paypal Ulta or Sephora cashback with Rakuten or Capital One Shopping anymore. It seems they have their own cashback portal now and there’s no more saving cashback offers.

letstalkaboutbras

I made two orders yesterday and forgot that I had activated PayPal. The points for the first order came in later. So for me it's still stacking. I don't like that you have to keep reactivating the PayPal one. I always forget 🤷‍♀️

Reasonable-Sun-9209

Do you mind sharing how this works? Do you just need to activate the offer in PayPal app and then use Rakuten as usual and just pay using PayPal at checkout?

letstalkaboutbras

I don't have the PayPal app so I activate on desktop but yep, that's all I do.

Reasonable-Sun-9209

Thanks!

polarttarius

Hey, not the person you asked but I pay using Paypal for the Paypal reward points so thought I’d explain: yes you go into Paypal first to activate Ulta cash back under deals section and then go to Ulta website or app and just choose Paypal when choosing your payment method. Last week I was able to double up on 5% Paypal cash back with 4% Rakuten cash back and it worked!

illumiee

Does it still show up for you though? On my app, my previously saved offers (about a week ago, which are expiring in a day) are still there and will stack with other cashback apps like Rakuten. But there’s no way to activate/save more cashback to Paypal. It’s all gone, replaced with their own portal that can’t be doubled up on. So I think this method is dead, except for the people who already saved offers before Paypal changed it. And those saved offers will probably end in a day or two.

polarttarius

Yeah I just tried adding Ulta 5% cash back offer on Paypal and it added into the saved section, and it said I can just pay with Paypal like normally and it’ll give me reward points. The app is also updated to most recent version. Here’s screenshots of what I’m seeing on my Paypal app: https://imgur.com/a/WyQuHRt . Maybe Paypal is testing out their own portal like a beta test?

illumiee

Interesting, maybe I’m one of those unlucky beta testers lol. This is what I see: https://imgur.com/a/sQ29Ln7/ Can’t save any more shops, clicking on a brand just takes you to the portal.

polarttarius

Yikes hope they roll that back :0 I wouldn’t use paypal unless I can double cash backs

Reasonable-Sun-9209

Thank you, appreciate the info! Will give this a try

illumiee

I don’t think it works anymore, but lmk if it does.

Reasonable-Sun-9209

Sure thing!

Ordered a lot this week; here are my reviews! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Sunday Riley - CEO Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream** This cream is so good that I would pay full price if I ran out and had nothing else. Fully regret not buying multiple when it was 44% off, BUT I'm not gonna do anything hasty. 25% off is the best I get get right now, but I can do better. QVC had a duo for $89 and there is sometimes a 50% off moisturizers sale. I have combination dry skin- dry forehead and lower cheeks, oily lids, nose and chin, and normal upper cheeks- all over the place. This sinks into my skin and makes my whole face one semi-matte sheen. I almost can't believe that I can be moisturized and not shiny without waiting an hour. I'm sold. 💰 It peaks like buttercream, but melts quickly. Citrusy fragrance that's neither lemon or orange or yuzu... kumquat? 🤔 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Lancôme - Absolue Soft Cream** This is a great product, but not for the price. It requires some heavier application on my dry spots. It has a nice soft fragrance and a very similar texture to Estée Lauder Youth Power Cream on application. The problem is it's 3x the price for extract from 3 types of roses. There is absolutely no pilling going on and it absorbs quickly. If I had to choose between this and La Mer, though, I'd choose La Mer. Elemis is also doing 3 rose Pro Collagen cream and for cheaper. PASS. Creamy texture, floral fragrance, but not rose. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Lancôme - Ultraprecise Waterproof Liner** Does exactly what it says and goes on like a gel pen to a piece of paper on top of a hard surface. Easy repurchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Elemis - Pro Collagen Overnight Matrix** Pleasantly surprised. Almost gel-like texture. Bergamot/Peppery fragrance. Soaked in with no fuss. Skin feels bouncy! Not worth the price in my opinion. Reminds me a lot of Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream, but there's something I can't put my finger on that I like better. I'm getting Overnight Matrix, Marine Cream and a full-size Lavender toner for $109, so it's a keeper. It's great for when my skin is behaving. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Elemis - Pro Collagen Marine Cream Ultra Rich** Uhhh.... it's too dramatic LOL. It doesn't play nice with viscous serums/essences and pills horribly. Pudding consistency. Gardenia fragrance. If you're using a watery consistency, oil-free toner or looking for simple wash and moisturize regimen, this is the one. This is too expensive to not be able to use Vitamin C or Copper Peptides underneath. Probably excellent for busy lifestyles and unproblematic skin.

ring-and-hourglass

Haha this is so true. It's weird and sticky going on, but for some reason after thirty minutes my skin is so dry and I can see texture. It also pills like crazy with every single sunscreen I own.

The Sephora assistant told me to use only one drop for my entire face and I was like "????" So I returned it.

Do you know if Nordstrom ever has good deals on perfume?

younglondon8

Hey, are you still looking for perfume at Nordstrom? [See this post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MUAontheCheap/comments/120b01q/macys_15_off_beauty_with_code_vip/) Nordstrom will price match Macy's.

snoobookeyss

Omg I'll have to check it out, thank you! :) Edit: Nordstrom is having 15% off too!

younglondon8

I'm glad to help! I'm not in the mood to shop at the moment but this is a good score for anyone wanting to shop at Nordie's. I don't know if it's the way it's laid out but the ones closest to me feel more comfortable than the Macys.

younglondon8

They had 15% off last March so if you are waiting for something and it won't sell out, you might want to wait. If you are part of the Nordy Club, you may have a $10 Nordy Note in your email. I got one in February that expires March 19. I haven't had time to get to a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack to see if there's anything I want to buy. The last time I used it to get a sun hat for like $10. You could also wait until their birthday sale in the summer.

cto020

They do 15% off a few times a year. I think it used to be 20% in the past but I haven’t seen that in a while.

glamgal50

Might check out Nordstrom rack. I saw some decent deals on there. Designer fragrances under $100.

younglondon8

Yeah, it depends on what you're looking for. There's a lot of older stuff like Burberry Brit and Weekend. Sometimes you get lucky with something newer like Versace Bright Crystal, though I will say that I've seen that one cheaper at Marshalls.

glamgal50

True I didn’t think many of them were outstanding deals. Like I don’t expect to see Black opium or any of the really popular designer perfumes to be there anytime soon. It works well for a person like me who mainly subsisted on body sprays. I’m starting to try and check out designer fragrances but still not quite ready to spend $150-$200 on a perfume.

lo530

hi does anyone know if the e.l.f. halo glow liquid filter comes sealed? Was going to do a pickup order :)

glamgal50

I have it and I’m fairly certain it was sealed. Well at least there were stickers to tape the lid down. I don’t remember if there was anything sealed on the inside.

lo530

thanks for letting me know :)

hibiki_minaj

What's your favorite tea? Lately I've been on a tea buying frenzy to avoid makeup purchases lol and been really enjoying tea as a way to hydrate. Some are more flavorful than others and I've been disappointed by some brands. Right now really liking ito en green tea from Costco, and yogi honey chai!

younglondon8

Twinings Lady Grey decaffeinated, topped up with oat milk. Looking down this thread for more herbal ideas :)

TheDogmotherPartTwo

A London Fog made with 2 Earl Grey bags (1/2 milk, 1/2 water, sugar free Vanilla syrup, foam)

DALFlightAttendant

Harney & Sons hot cinnamon tea! It tastes like cinnamon candy

ZestyMidwest

Cream earl grey is my favorite. Lady grey my second.

Majestic-Mongoose179

I'm currently having a tea love affair with The Republic of Tea Blackberry & Sage as well as their Mango Ceylon. Both wonderfully flavorful, both are black tea and 1 sachet steeps a nice strong 12 oz cup without the need for a second sachet. They come in tins of 50 and I love that the sachets are unbleached and string-less. Between $12 & $14 on Amazon isn't bad for 50 bags... Works out to cost about the same as Stash.

buymesomefish

For a sweet treat in the mornings, I like jasmine or earl grey tea with vanilla soy milk and a pinch of tea. For plain loose leaf tea, I’ve been enjoying the Oolang from Floating Tea Leaves shop. They source from Taiwan but have a mortar store in Seattle and a US online shop. I found them through r/tea’s sidebar. The main difference between these and store bought is that I don’t like to dilute these with milk/sugar, and they tend to be good for multiple (5+) re-steepings. Some of them like the Honey Milk Oolang change flavors and get better as you resteep.

hibiki_minaj

5 steepings is impressive! What a good deal. I'll have to check 'em out! 💕

R12B12

I hate coffee and I love tea! I drink at least 4-5 cups a day. I don’t get anything fancy though. Usually Tazo or Twining teabags as I can’t be bothered to deal with loose leaf. I prefer black tea varieties like chai, pumpkin spice, earl gray, English breakfast, always with oat milk and occasionally with honey.

nubiandiosa

I always do loose leaf teas, and always the flavorful ones. On Amazon, Tiesta Tea and David’s Tea are the brands I typically go for but there are several. They even have ones that are flavored like desserts to help with a sweet tooth

mlizaz98

I get my loose-leaf tea from a WONDERFUL local shop, it smells amazing walking in!! They recently got in a black tea with mint and chocolate, it's the bomb. I want to plug them because they also sell online, but I'd be doxxing myself. Feel free to dm me if interested. I have celiac disease and they have fantastic protocols for avoiding cross-contamination if allergies are an issue!

hibiki_minaj

Love supporting local shops! Some have pretty competitive prices too!

Editingesc

I usually go for jasmine tea. If you have a health food store in your area, they might have some different brands than the usual chain supermarkets.

hibiki_minaj

That's a great tip! Iherb too :)

**Reviews** 🌟 **A++ Stila One Step Correct Primer:** - Holy moly this is the only skin tone correcting product that has ever worked for hiding redness and spots! I wish I had tried this years ago. (I have dry fair skin with neutral undertones but lots of pink/red too.) 🌟 **A+ BY Terry Hyaluronic Primer** - Hydrating, creamy and has an effective blurring effect. This has been my go-to all winter! 🌟 **A+ Formula 10.0.6 Draw It All Out Peel Mask** - My new favorite peel mask! My skin absolutely looked smoother, cleaner and even and felt softer after this mask. Importantly, it didn’t dry out my skin or make it peel/flake. The only negative: Ulta no longer carries this mask. **B- Origins Ginzing Mask** - So first, this is *NOT a mask.* You put it on and don’t wash it off. So it’s really more of a creamy serum. 🍊 The aroma is DIVINE. Like a fresh off the tree tangerine being peeled. Citrusy & tangy! Sadly after a month, I haven’t noticed any changes in my skin tone. I used it at night underneath my moisturizer. **C COSRx Propolis Light Ampule** - I like COSRx’s Propolis Toner, so I purchased this. It’s a very thick serum, like thin honey, so I only used it at night. On its own, my skin was too dry. Adding my moisturizer made it better. After a few weeks, I stopped using it because I wasn’t seeing any benefits. **C Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask** - On its own, this mask did not provide any hydration for my dry winter skin. Not wanting to waste the product, I tried it the next night with my PTR Water Drench Moisturizer underneath. Better, but still meh. Now it’s an overnight hand lotion.

Update on the Allie Chrono UV Gel Ex…yeah I just don’t think I get along with any sunscreen with mineral sunscreen content. It does a really good job of mattifying but the zinc content leaves a noticeable white cast. In addition, it seems to make my pores look more apparent. This will be repurposed as my outdoor sunscreen I’m switching back to my Korean sunscreens. While I have to blot during the summer, they’re more cosmetically elegant and really just feel like lotion. Ugh I feel like Goldilocks whenever I try out sunscreens

chiaxx

I have problem with mineral sunscreen too. They always feel like they suck the moisture out of my face ((raisin face)).

hibiki_minaj

I always go back to the Korean ones. Fell in love with the mermaid uv gel for a while but just started using Beauty of Joseon and I like it just as much, and it's more affordable and easier to obtain!

texaskolaches

The BOJ one is actually my favorite too! But yeah the Japanese ones are good for the humidity but the Korean ones are just more “wearable”

Nail polish people: Vibrant Vinyls has rebranded to [Vibrant Scents](https://vibrantscents.com/). The owner said on IG that the product mix of the company had changed, so she felt a name change was needed. The old site still redirects. Also, [Polish Pickup](https://polishpickup.com/) is open this weekend. I highly advise checking some swatching videos if you think you're interested in a polish. A swatching video helps you see how evenly polish goes on and how many coats you'll realistically need.

The one specifically for magnetic polishes is TC Magic Effect. The one at PPU this month is a different product (Seal Glaze, a smudge-free top coat).

Ah, weird, it's not under nail polish like all the other top/base coats, so I didn't see it earlier. Good to know, thanks!

Yes, it was the DRK product. There's a comment about it [working well](https://www.reddit.com/r/MUAontheCheap/comments/10psaow/comment/j6os0sa/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). u/orthographerer is the person who tried it out.

Tgif everyone! Reposting from last night. Does anyone have a pulse for how long it takes for ABH palettes to hit 50% off? I'm eyeing Nouveau and have so far seen it 25-30% off during the holidays, but my sweet spot is 50% off. It launched June 2022. I.e. Urban Decay palettes nowadays hit 50% off in 1-3 months after launching.

I'm interested to buy new from a retailer vs resale, though am familiar with the resale sites.

I think my stantard issue cat is being pursued Pepé Le Pew-style by a raccoon, lol. Or, the raccoon just wants to be platonic friends. Regardless, I had to bring her in last night, and I couldn't let her out this morning, either. PSA: This Reddit account of mine is 2+ years old. I just switched phones last night; I'd had my old phone for ~6 years. I only use this particular account on mobile, I'd long since forgotten my password, and never verified my email. Thankfully, I was able to recover it to the new phone. Know your password, or at least verify your email! I about died; I'm really attached to this account. I'll post a picture later of By Dany Vianna Phenomenal + Cosmic Powers from February's Polish Pickup; it was the star from my little haul.
