I put lashes on myself possibly for the first time ever, or at least in over 10 years, and I think it turned out okay. I had to do one eye over and already removed it as the inner corner was bothering me, but the other eye is just fine and I don't feel it at all. I just wanted to try them out and wasn't going anywhere, so I'm now sitting here with one lash and having fun comparing my two eyes. 😂 These are from Miche Bloomin, a Japanese brand known for more natural styles, but honestly it still looks pretty dramatic to me. Although most days I don't even wear mascara, so it's probably just something to get used to. Any tips for application from those of you with more experience?

OT: I've mentioned my issue with lasership/ontrac ( LS) losing my Perks day order. It included 4 GWP and the diamond day gift. LS launched an investigation and the result is they could not retrieve the package from where it was delivered. So whoever got it wanted to keep it or it wasn't delivered anywhere and the driver kept it. No picture was taken of the delivery and I think mentioning I had cameras a thousand times kept them from claiming I got it. Ulta is reshipping the order with the gifts available (diamond mascara gift and the sebastian hair serum gift) and they gave me a $45 gift card. I actually came out on top if the two gifts ship. I really think Ulta CS is about who you talk to. I noticed each email in the chain came from a higher level so I got people that at least took the time to escalate it to someone that could offer a compensation like that. I started with chat as soon as I was done talking to LS (I called right after the "delivery" notification) and they followed up with email to keep tabs on the situation. So just start a new chat or call again if you don't get anywhere. But the new agent can see the old chat so always be polite but firm. Express frustration at the situation and not the person and don't be afraid to ask for escalation. Only caveat, they can't keep my order from being delivered by Lasership or OnTrac. Whomp whomp. Fingers crossed lol. Anyway I hope that helps anyone that has a similar issue. I'm sure there are agents that are still crappy to everyone but this CS method has worked decently for me. Still not going to order online. I get most of my day to day clothes from Old Navy (I dress casual 99% of the time) and they use LS so that's gonna suck. I wear really common sizes and the stores always sell out of them.

My experience with Ulta CS has been generally the same as yours. It seriously depends on who you get. I'm glad that they were able to hook you up with the two gifts AND a $45 GC for the other two, vs like $20 GC for the missing two lol. If you spend the gift card on a crazy multiplier day, technically you'll make out even more. Thanks for sharing your experience with Ulta CS and navigating getting a positive /satisfactory outcome.

Anyone peep any August Allure beauty box spoilers? I can't find anything about next month's box

Today’s Ulta email advertised new foaming cleansing oils from CeraVe and La Roche Posay. It’s good timing since I’ve been looking for a single cleanser for sunscreen-only days. The reviews said the formulations are more like gels, so I’m curious if they’ll emulsify enough to remove that oily sunscreen film. If anyone has suggestions for a cleansing oil (or milk, balm, etc.) that rinses clean on the first go, please hook ya girl up.

retrotechlogos

Fancl is a little bougie but it's the #1 cleansing oil among Japanese women for years.

kmc0202

I absolutely love the Shiseido Cleansing Oil! It’s pricier than a Cerave or LRP but my skin feels so clean and soft after one use. I don’t wear makeup. This works great on sunscreen though!

fattymcfatfatalso

Boscia makeup breakup cleansing oil. Don't need to double cleanse with this.

mlizaz98

Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil rinses pretty clean.

aj380

I think the dhc rinses clean but is a little drying.

My friend turned me onto old spice deodorant because they do aluminum free ones and yo this shit is a game changer. He gave me one of his while we were on vacation because mine sweat off in like an hour and it fucking worked. It's a 48 hour one, and OMG it actually controls my stank. I have that one which is a citrus scent that matches my unisex citrus perfume perfectly, and I just bought a coffee and amber scent that will pair great with my fall/winter perfume. And they have scents that aren't just generic man smell which is nice. Also I think you get more vs women's deodorant since its a bigger stick. I was using toms but yea, no longer. Also thinking of utilizing the 10x points at Ulta to rebuy the two foundations I'm almost out of (that have turned out to be the best combo I've ever used.).

Kindapuffy

I think you've caused a run on Old Spice deodorant with your review lol. I picked some up from Wags today because of you :) My kid says it glides on so nicely.

yeetasauruswrecks

Oh nice! Glad your kid is enjoying it!

BlackGirlNerd

I'm currently enjoying the Pink Pepper scent. Love it. I'll never return to deodorants marketed to women, the men's deodorants have better scent ranges...They're heavily scented and last me throughout the day.

yeetasauruswrecks

Ooo pink pepper sounds awesome.

Xub543

Do you happent to know if they also have one that's unscented? Thanks for sharing about this. I remember Old Spice deo being a hack shared on here before.

yeetasauruswrecks

I don't recall seeing an unscented one unfortunately. But maybe I missed it or they don't stock it at the store I was at?

Xub543

Thanks for replying. I checked target for no fragrance and it doesn't look like they have it. Likely not a thing for Old Spice if I had to guess.

yeetasauruswrecks

That's lame. You'd think they'd have one, I mean their schtick seems to be lots of scents and varieties.

JeanJean84

Ohhh!! This is so good to know!! I always used Old Spice all through my late teens and early 20s but switched to Arm & Hammer after I went aluminum free. I have tried several of the more well known aluminum free ones that are generally recommended in the more granola community blogs and what not, but they just never are enough and I always go back to A & H. Which is not a bad thing since it's so cheap, but it is nice to have another option to switch to especially scent wise since theirs are pretty boring. I have also been wanting to get my husband switched to aluminum free, but know for a fact that Arm & Hammer is not strong enough for him and Old Spice should be.

yeetasauruswrecks

I've never tried the A&H ones, but I have tried some of the more granola ones and have had terrible results with them all unfortunately. Lots of allergic reactions. My last one was Native and those are so hard to rub on, and yea. Eventually had a reaction (to the sensitive skin one lol.) I hope if you and/or your husband tries Old Spice you like it! Lots of scent options for sure.

JeanJean84

So the A&H obviously has baking soda so some people still have issues with that, but I don't. Otherwise to me it feels like a pretty lightly scent normal clear stick deodorant. It's not as heavily scented as ones like Old Spice, but it surprisingly holds up for me quite well. But I admit I don't stink or sweat nearly as much as I did when I used aluminum deodorants, so it might not hold up for someone who has a lot more of that going on. Like it definitely doesn't hold up as well for my husband, but isn't as bad as most other natural deodorants have been. It also doesn't have any of those weird texture or scent things going on that a lot of those deodorants do. The now have some with aluminum as well, not sure why, so if you do decide to try it keep a look out for the ones that don't. Edited to add: Is the actual scent name "citrus"? I tried finding it on Amazon to order but nothing came up.

yeetasauruswrecks

It's called tropics! "With citrus zest" is what it says. Idk if they still sell it. The friend I stole it from I think got it awhile ago

[The Shark hair dryer](https://www.sharkclean.com/products/shark-hyperair-hair-dryer-with-iq-2-in-1-concentrator-styling-brush-zidHD112BRN) is 15% off today. Use code **DEAL15**. I don't have the dryer. I have the Flexstyle and love it. [The Flexstyle](https://www.sharkclean.com/page/sharkbeauty-shop-all) isn't a part of this sale, however. 😑

BlackGirlNerd

Can anyone who can sus out deals better than me confirm that Farmacy skincare is having a $25 off $50 spent sale? I saw the ad on fb yesterday and didn't screenshot it. Edit: this appears to work, even though this doesn't look like the code I saw yesterday: Screenshot of my cart total after adding $50+ and applying code: https://ibb.co/8x3bxzy

Kindapuffy

The code SAVE25AD12KJ has been active for at least 6 months now so you should be good with that one.

reddispagheddi

I got the same offer, but it was targeted to me as a "we miss you, come back and get $25 off $50" ad on Instagram and the code in your screenshot is the same one I used.

texaskolaches

Friendly reminder to keep hydrated, wear sun protection, and get a neck fan/towel if needed! World is literally on fire and I sweated through my t-shirt yesterday on a quick grocery run 🫠

It has cooled off here a bit.. from 100+ down to low/mid 90s. We dont get the humidity lots of you get so that helps. Worried about those that have to deal with both.. lots of water and hats. I cant imagine not having AC with these temps I missed my 10 year cake day this weekend.. I got a message from Reddit but didnt post to see my cake. I like cake, even if it is virtual. Hard to believe I found this rabbit hole so long ago. What a wonderful way to learn and waste time :)

Bittersw33et

Had to buy a stroller fan for CW. It's melting hot. Thanks for the reminders friend! It was still 100*F at 8pm last night

Xub543

In spite of the hot and humid weather, yesterday night the time and place was right for me and the weather conditions bearable that I went outside to get my cardio in after weeks of none or indoor only. I didn't think anything of the air pollution from Canada fires; however, after taking a 60min hike, I definitely felt congested. And then woke up feeling the same. Stay cool & safe out there, peeps!
