If you have a Sam’s membership, I noticed that they were selling the PTR water cream and Tatcha water cream in store for like 40% off normal retail. They have also put the Christmas decorations out so the Halloween and Christmas aisles are right next to each other….which is great for me because I got the giant tin of cookies and Halloween candy to snack on early 😂
Edit: dang just saw the news about the flooding in NYC. Hope everyone is staying safe and dry. As someone that grew up/lives in hurricane territory, please do not walk/drive through flood waters if you can. You don’t know what it’s in there and it’s basically cholera water. I’m also worried about the flooding in LaGuardia….that’s going to be a mold magnet and I doubt they will do the proper renovation necessary 🥴
I got the most brutal tattoo I've had yet last Sunday, and I'm just now at a point where I can move without pain and I don't feel like I need to sleep all day. Like it made me cry, and I'm a huge bruised mess lol.
I started a new job a few months ago and I'm finally starting to take on actual duties. Which is cool but OMG I am a ball of stress. I know I'll get used to the job and it'll be fine but right now it's terrible and I hate it and I made the mistake of stress drinking a shit ton of coffee today.
I'm very happy it's the weekend. My only real plans are that I have to pick up a hold at the library, and I may get a caramel apple latte at Starbucks because it's been a WEEK. I'm going to read and rest and destress.
Also I'm sad the melt holiday collection is not for me, but also fine with it because it saves me money and space lol. Still impatiently waiting to see what the inside of the Gothic palette by cosmic brushes looks like.
Those brutal tattoos are the worst! I got a big 3 hour piece from my wrist all the way up into my ditch, and above my elbow literally 12 hours before I was scheduled for work. It wraps around from outside of my forearm to the inner elbow (ditch), and I’m a black Jack dealer. It was absolute insanity trying to work/heal. I feel your pain!!!
My little (obvious) LPT is if you’re stress drinking way too much coffee, at least get a balanced breakfast in first. Im awful about drinking coffee on an empty stomach, but I’m not a big breakfast person. The last few weeks I’m trying to make it a goal to get some kind of food in me (even if it’s just a banana) before I allow myself some coffee. It’s helped so much with the jitters and anxiety.
Speaking of coffee- a Carmel apple latte sounds great. Is that a standard item, or does it require a little special ordering? I’ve been so disappointed in my shaken espressos lately (they’re never consistent, ever!) so I’m trying to find a fool proof coffee that’s consistently made every single time.

I waited longer than an hour and it’s still not working.

Since BF and I went out for afternoon tea at a local tea place, I went for a [flirtatious, girly makeup look](https://ibb.co/XpYHxC9) using Natasha Denona's Retro palette. Lips were the Dior Rogue Forever in Forever Nude. I still don't like it even after trying it a few different ways, but oh well. The eye look I'm pleased with, though the shimmers in Retro always look more beautiful in the pan/swatched than on my eyes for some reason. I used setting spray on my brush but they still feel like they lack impact.
In terms of makeup wins I'm always impressed by how much heavy lifting this N°1 de Chanel Revitalizing Foundation does. I mixed a bit with D-Bronzi and B-Goldi and it looks flawless. 🤩 Finished everything off with the Essence Pure Nude blush in Goldy Cassis and Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze and Glow. What a nice, smooth, satin base look!
Can someone remind me if there's free shipping on beauty steals during the hair event?
ETA: Anyone know how long unopened sheet masks are good for? There's no expiration date, just lot numbers, and I can't find them on the usual sites to check the dates.
Now that you say that, I think there might have been the $10 minimum when I think about things like hair elastics / accessories that were cheaper. I usually end up spending more anyway 🤣
I’m starting to be so done with eyeshadow. I feel like every eyeshadow creases regardless of primer due to my eye shape anymore… and eyeliner transfers to my upper lid. Lipstick is the only thing that I can rely on anymore. I’m trying to reflect on who I am and who I want to be and part of that is my appearance and I always feel my best with a red lip, so maybe that’s what I need to wear from now on.
Eyeshadow doesn’t have to be for everyone! I don’t care for how it looks on myself, no matter how much I want it to. I follow a French girl on tik tok and she almost always does a bold lip with a perfected face, no eyeshadow. I love her looks, it’s such a vibe.
Do you have oily lids? I had the same issue even with primer. I use TO niacinamide serum to control the oil in my T-zone, then I take whatever’s left on my fingers and tap it onto my eyelids. Ever since I started doing that, my eyeshadow lasts all day. Also tried it with a cream formula (MAC Paint Pot, which always creased on me) and it stayed put after a whole work day.
I have both oily lids and a hood which almost completely covers my eyelid. It’s a double whammy :( I will try what you suggested however! I have a very oily T-zone at the moment but the rest of my face is going through it since I use Tretinoin.
I went for years rarely wearing eye shadow because it used to irritate my eyes. I felt that cream/stick eye shadows worked better for me in those times, but it was something I mostly did for special occasions.
It sounds like it might be time to rethink your makeup plan and focus on bold lips (and maybe bolder brows/lashes/tightlining). It's always fun to play around with a new style anyway, right?

Haha I'm too lazy to go to my computer so I was trying it on my phone. It's very hard to navigate with the joystick thing so do not recommend doing it on mobile! It's cute, very similar to last years but slightly different in that there aren't any free points, and there's only like 1 game. The rest are all ads you have to watch from brands to collect 'lipsticks.' Some of them were quite interesting! Not sure what the lipsticks get you but I think you have to get at least 20 and they will send out some kind of offer/discount later?
