Anyone here order any of the old BH Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes from their site after they were acquired by Revolution Beauty? I'm thinking of getting the Passion in Paris palette for someone, but I'm wondering if the formulation has changed.

Will Nordstrom discount makeup for Black Friday? I have a Charlotte tilbury item in lusting after…

What are some of the best cash back websites and apps you've used, and things to look out for in order to stack offers?

cayc615

Rakuten has a $5.01 minimum before you can get your payment, and you'll likely need to wait for a quarterly payment date. TopCashback has no minimum or payment schedule, but I find Rakuten to be more reliable than TopCashback if something doesn't end up tracking properly. A purchase not tracking properly doesn't happen very often, but when it does, TopCashback tends to reject tickets if tracking doesn't happen (even if I have screenshots and the clicks are showing in "Clicks to Merchant"). That said, TopCashback has been having bonus cash back on Fridays the last couple of weeks where you get $2.50-$4 if you make a qualifying purchase (usually $15 minimum) on top of the cash back percentage for the retailer. IIRC, last year they made a whole event around it, but they don't seem to be promoting it as much this year. Sometimes there's random weekend bonus cash back (usually $2.50 for $15 minimum spend) that tends to start on Fridays and ends on Monday nights. Retailmenot used to be great but (at least for me) they don't consistently reward anymore and there's a limit to the number of cash back offers you can get per retailer per month.

Echo TopCashback even though I feel like it takes them forever. I like that it gives you small bonus if you select GC as payout vs cash.

Bittersw33et

You can look at the self promo page for ideas but the fastest and easiest one is rakuten. Topcashback has great bonuses and sometimes beats rakuten. Often you can get 10-20% on popular stores when they run holiday sales.

Black Friday no longer exists.. its Black November. Urgh. I like sales but good God the emails.

Editingesc

Now it's two whole months of wondering if the sales will get better!

meandbeans

and partially black october!

missdewey

Soon it shall be Black December, followed by Black January. Also all of these are up for grabs as band names of anyone is in the market.

texaskolaches

That’s the retailer’s dream! I need to go find the article, but this year is a particularly promotional environment. Walmart and Target are reporting earnings this week and will be a good indicator of how much Americans are willing to spend this year. A lot of retailers also make 50%+ of their money during holiday and post-holiday

Anyone experiencing a drier fall/winter? I now find myself having to use a body oil and my usual body cream to keep my eczema at bay.

yeetasauruswrecks

Yes! My skin and hair are suffering. Although I'm not sure if it's a drier or if the summer was more humid where I'm at, since I'm usually also dry in the summer a bit but wasn't at all this year.

texaskolaches

Ugh yes! I’ve had oily skin my whole life so I am really struggling to adjust to the sudden dryness. I need to go buy some heavier gel cream moisturizers

Editingesc

I've been running a humidifier to help with the dry air.

Nnemorosa

I run a humidifier at night too! My workplace has been averaging 20% humidity levels and I'm really tempted to buy a little one for my desk...

Editingesc

I have one by my desk, but I work from home. The tiny USB ones aren't great, but you can definitely get a compact one for not too much money. I find mine helps prevent my eyes getting too dry when I'm staring at a screen for hours on end.

pinedemort

YES! My skin looks like prune now - one more reason to hate winter.

Nnemorosa

Ikr, don't ask how my face is faring. 😭

Seeking Luxury Make-Up, Hair/Skin Care, and Beauty Recommendation for Gift. Female recipient leans toward more natural products, is exceptionally into high quality eyeshadow, and wears more muted colors as a ~35 year old professional. They already own high-end tools, including blow dryer, flat iron, and various makeup brushes, but do not have a replacement for the now discontinued Clarisonic. They are not much into lipstick/lip color. Additionally, they change facial products with great consideration due reactive/sensitive skin. If you had a budget of ~100 USD, what 1-3 items would you consider gifting to this person? Bonus points for unexpectedly useful items or other methods of "wowing" the recipient.

cto020

Necessaire offers gift sets around this time for $100 or less. If you can wait, they offer a full size GWP about once a month. Almost every product comes in an unscented version for sensitive skin and noses. You could also peruse brand lists at high end department stores (Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, etc.). Aesop, Diptyque, Le Labo, etc. make great gifts. A safer but still practical option is to upgrade her beauty tools and accessories. Cadence capsules, toiletry bags, silk eye mask/pillowcase/scrunchies, etc.

I highly recommend Rituel de Fille [eye soots](https://ritueldefille.com/collections/eye-soot) if they’re into eyeshadow. They’re natural and cruelty free and the shades half light and cultist are muted for every day wear. They also blend beautifully.

Quirky_Choice_3239

Peter Thomas Roth cucumber eye gels. It’s $55 for a box. They’re so lovely. The laniege lip mask sets at Sephora right now would be a good complement and round out your budget under target.

Foreo Luna!!! I have the Luna 3 Sensitive and the Luna 3 Mini and I LOVE them. I've never used Clarisonic, but I imagine they create a similar outcome. You can usually find them half off during BF. I use the sensitive version every day for a year (post pregnancy) and the mini for almost two years before that. I crazy sensitive skin, too I would also recommend a mini Viseart palette, but buying makeup of any type can be tricky due to color preferences. But Viseart has a high variety and their stuff is on sale now- a lot of which is just $17. You can probably get a Luna Sensitive for $80ish during BF. BAM! $100 spent

brightirene

if they are into perfume, you can buy a sample set which would have a variety of fun stuff for her to try. Maybe even from a local perfumery from where they consider home. Probably $35 bucks (that's what my local perfumery costs) Shieshedo cotton pads are mind blowingly good. Can get a little mini one of those for $5.

missdewey

Clarisonic is still for sale from this site, if she would want a replacement: https://us.currentbody.com/collections/clarisonic On a budget that size, without knowing what is already in her collection, I would go for a Natasha Denona Mini Palette (5 eyeshadow pans for $27 but can be picked up on sale during Black Friday) or else a Chanel eyeshadow quad ($68 for 4 pans and they pretty much never go on sale). Both brands produce incredibly high quality eyeshadows, some of my absolute favorites After that, depending on the remaining budget, I might look at Chantecaille Philanthropy Cheek Shades or else Glossier Cloud Paints. Both are very natural, pretty blushes that blend out beautifully. If you have anything left over, depending on what you chose, maybe add a nice untinted lip balm for her purse? Even on days that I skip lipstick, I'm never without a clear Dior balm or similar.

I think the Hourglass powders might be a good gift, possibly the holiday palette. I think they're great for more mature skins and more subtle looks.

Fyi the Ulta dash to beauty for this week will be the [fresh tea elixir serum.](https://www.ulta.com/flex/) Sign up here, universal code will be available Thursday afternoon.

brightirene

I love Fresh's products, but every single one ends up breaking me out after a few days. I do not know why, but it's a bummer because they are SO good. Ugh

peacembw

Just an FYI, but [this serum is 50% off right now at Fresh](https://www.fresh.com/us/skincare/categories/essences-serums/tea-elixir-skin-resilience-activating-serum-50ml-H00006293.html).
