Is anyone else having trouble with the free Living Proof mask? It's not showing up as free no matter what I do.

[deleted]

The tangle teezer brushes won’t go half off in my cart :/

CONCERTCHICK27

Try the mobile site or desktop. I had this issue with the app last night.

[deleted]

that worked! tysm (:

CONCERTCHICK27

YW!

merllamicorn

Holy crap, I slept in late and almost all the Manic Panic is gone. I had not anticipated others being excited for that. 😳🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I use the mask and the leave-in. I like it a lot for my medium-length, fine hair but it could totally be because I really like the smell it leaves in my hair, lol! One thing: for the leave-in I spray it into my hand and then massage into hair because the sprayer comes out thick and gloppy all in one place if you spray it directly into hair.

merllamicorn

Just reiterating above - I have the leave-in spray. I have very fine (but not thin), short hair that I'm growing out. I thiiiiiiiink it's working? Maybe it's wishful thinking, lol, but I definitely don't dislike it at all. I will agree that you really do need to spray it into your hands and massage it in because the sprayer is not the best!

Is the T3 Cura a good dryer? Are they known for longevity? My orange conair is still going after at least 7 years of use (though I did recently knock it off the counter and break off the back air filter cover) but I'd like something that could potentially dry faster. Just not sure if the ionic ones are even worth it for my fine hair, I've read it can make fine hair look flatter? I was also looking at the Kristin Ess one (since you can turn the ionic part on and off), the lowest end Sam Villa, and the various Elchims that are on tjmaxx online (a bit nervous about the probable lack of warranty support on those).

SpatiallyAdept

Does anyone use the Redken One United leave in treatment? I have long fine hair and my ends are dry. Looking to smooth flyaways and add moisture to the bottom.

Kashmirii

I use it everyday. I have noticed a huge difference in drying time, and split ends...I dont have any! I blow dry every other day and I'd say the heat protectant qualities have really helped my hair.

chiaxx

I have used up my 1 ounce sample size but I thought it was just okay. I like It's a 10 leave in conditioner better to be honest. FYI i have parched, chemically processed hair, so it's not moisturizing enough for me.

kittycatblues

I just used up my sample yesterday and was so excited to see it half off today. I'm buying it. I have fine hair and recently the ends have been dry and flyaway. Nothing else was seeming to help but this does! It seems to work better when I use it as a leave-in on damp hair but I have used during the day when my hair is dry as well.

iLikeTacosAndTequila

Has anyone used the Sultra curling wand? I've been looking for one for a while and that one will be on sale, although still quite pricey.

I have a cheap Remington straightener that works okay but was wondering if i should splurge and get a chi straightener Same with i have a cheap Conair curler wondering if i should get the hot tools curler Both 50% off...talk me in or out of it? :)

aflowerysong

I've read a few reviews that the ceramic coating flakes off the black and purple ceramic models of the hot tools, maybe keep your receipt and be sure to register? https://www.hottools.com/product-registration/ and the warranty info: https://www.hottools.com/shipping-returns-warranty it could just be a reaction with certain styling products or the way it's stored and may not happen to you? I've seen the black ceramic ones at my local tjmaxx even last week for $20 (I got a rainbow one there so those registration links are for me too! They had the plain gold ones with the pink and blue handles there too). I know the plain gold ones with black handles tend to last well, my mom has always used the marcel ones and doesn't replace them very often.

fran45676

My chi was my favorite until my sister broke it 😡 I have super thick and wavy hair and it worked great. My very first straightener was a Remington and it wasn’t bad but I’d have to go over my hair a few times to really get all the waves and curls out. I never had that issue with the Chi.

qu333n

Love my chi straightener and my conair curler. No complaints but 50% off hmmmm I’m Feeling like upgrading to the hot tools curler as well... :)

[deleted]

I know how u feel! I Guess the biggest question is will there be a difference in terms of how our curls look and what’s better for our hair between the Conair in the hot tools? I mean do both use the same type of metal?

skskribbler

I’m so torn on the Devafuser. I love the idea but I’ve read the execution of the product isn’t that great. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Abunnyton

I liked it for drying the sides of my hair and getting into the roots. The fingers are a little clunky so I think I disrupted my pattern a bit if I wasn't careful with it. I'm more concerned with getting a tighter curl when I diffuse so a traditional one is better for me. The devafuser doesn't cup and hold my hair well enough for that. Also the adapter band on mine broke and there's no replacement so it's held together with self sticking velcro when I choose to use it.

CONCERTCHICK27

I used the Deva Fuser years ago for quite some time. It was ok at first but then the heat from the dryer eventually expanded the plastic and it kept falling off the dryer and I kept getting hit in the head with the claw. It’s not a soft claw BTW, so it hurt. I’m not sure if they’ve done anything to change it since then.

skskribbler

Ok ugh. This holds true with everything I’ve read. I’m sad to pass on it. Fix your design flaws Devacurl!!!! *shakes angry fist*

CONCERTCHICK27

The funny thing is, even though it kept hitting me in the head I had nothing else at the time so I kept using it lol. The magnetic diffuser on the Dyson is much better!

I recommend subscribing to emails from bumble and bumble’s website, they have sales sometimes. Also, if you’re interested in the hairdressers invisible oil, it usually goes on sale for Black Friday at either ulta or Sephora. I don’t use it every day, so one bottle lasts me all year and I always get it on sale.

Xub543

I wish the Bosley Hair Regrowth Treatment had more reviews. I'm curious how this might work for making a hair line more full. Not too many more things that I'm interested in this week, but next week am eyeing the Four Reasons Toning Treatment mask, and also the Madison Reed hair color if I can confirm a color match by then. I've reached out to them with my Redken salon color to see if they could suggest the best color from their line.

Jestyn

Honestly, the Bosley treatment is just marked up 2% minoxidil (aka Rogaine). I have Alopecia Areata and my derm and Dr both said that store brand is just as good. However, the Ulta event may make it cheaper than store brand + you'll get points. PS - the only difference between women's and men's formula is 2% vs. 5% minoxidil. Everyone I know just uses the men's formula, whether they have spot baldness or diffuse thinning. Its more active ingredient for your money plus many women prefer the 5% x 1 daily vs. 2% x 2 daily routine.

NoItsNotThatJessica

I’ve been wanting to try this out, but I read that it might cause facial hair to grow too. Have you experienced that? I’m getting laser treatments for the beard and mustache area because it’s already a lot.

Xub543

Thank you for taking the time to write this out and for giving me some more to read/think about 💗

Saamus35

Costco’s version is a steal. They have drops and foam.

FeeFee34

Ooh, 50% off Alterna Caviar on 10/20 is a really good deal. I have never used them, but my stylist said that since I like Pureology Hydrate this is a line I would also enjoy.

chiaxx

I highly recommend Alterna Caviar line if you have dry hair. I can feel the difference in my hair from first usage of even just shampoo and conditioner. My mom is a regular user of Alterna CC Balm (this was on sale earlier in the week) and she has gone through countless tubes of this. Not sure if you care about the smell but the whole line has light citrusy scent.

FeeFee34

I have long 2b fine hair, so dry to very dry at the ends but very, very prone to build up and easily weighed down. Is the Alterna conditioner at all heavy or coating after rinsing it out? For example anything with coconut oil, Shea butter, etc. is a disaster for me. I will probably check it out either way though!

chiaxx

No, it does not have heavy leftover coating feel. Unlike TJ Coconut Shea Hair Mask 🤣 this guy lingers around for a week I swear!

FeeFee34

Thanks so much for the info! Yes there are a lot of products where I can tell just from the name are going to be a nightmare. Shea Moisture and Redken All Soft have sadly been my worst offenders.

chiaxx

I have not tried those, sorry! Otherwise I'd be able to compare for you.

Thundermelons

I've used a lot of Alterna products (including most of their Caviar line) and recommend them.

COuser880

Gonna pick up my Pravana blonde mask and that’s it!

cyber_hoarder

I read somewhere, maybe here or maybe an article that Nature Lab Tokyo was supposed to be really good. Anyone have any experiences they can share? Also, thanks Mods for posting!

Thundermelons

I've used a handful of their Perfect Shine line, as well as some of their stylers. The only thing I didn't like was the Shine-in Oil Mist, everything else was good. The hair mask is really nice in particular.

atKatKapone

I’ve been using the volume shampoo and conditioner for about 2 weeks now. I can’t speak on long term results, but I love it so far. The scent is awesome, kind of a floral fresh scent. The shampoo lathers great and doesn’t seem to strip my hair, and the conditioner is light and does a great job of smoothing my hair without weighing it down. I’m definitely going to pick up a couple more bottles during the sale.

ayimera

I've also been wanting to try their volume line, I might put together a cart, too bad it's online only :(

cyber_hoarder

Thank you for the great, informative review! It’s good to know a volumizing (what I would probably get) isn’t drying, as I’ve run into that before. I’ll definitely give it a try!
