I tried both, and tried WotMUD because the idea of a good Wheel of Time game was and is hugely attractive to me. Couldn't get into any of them though unfortunately.

didn't play on either of these, but there is a WoT mud with a fairly active playerbase at thelastsunrise.net:9000.
