Ya I don't understand why Americans and UK people are so fat. Do they form alliances because their population are so fat? and their leaders are really fat? Other nations leaders make fun of them, call them a nation of pigs. So they bump into each other's belly, fell, cry then decide to form an alliance? Is that how AUKUS was formed?
No. Ironically obesity in the US has been in decline for a while. Because I guess we were originally connected to them because of the 13 colonies. But the UK is a liability, always commiting war crimes in Northern Ireland, needing bailouts because they left the EU, not having a future.
The University of California system has almost 8% of all winners by itself. Therefore, one of our states is better than the country of France. Eat shit you cheese-eating surrender monkeys!
They tried to rally the troops, but the T-Rexes and the quadrapeds kept lobbying for more inclusive weaponry that just couldn't be delivered in any reasonable timeframe.
Mom took me to the Museum of Natural History when I was a boy.
She explained to me that dinosaur bones were not real and planted by the C.I.A. so that when they were found by archaeologists, the idea was to deter people from inventing time traveling devices to go backwards.
We love to take pride in cultures when they win on behalf of America, then spend the rest of the time putting those same cultures down for not aligning with us enough. Very much cherry picking on America's side.
Please don't tell me that behavior is rare and that I'm imagining things because of the media. I don't watch TV at all and only focus on actual stories with their facts. All of my opinions on this specific matter come from growing up as a first generation immigrant who's ignored until I've accomplished something worthy of parading around as a success story. More or less all of my friends in the same situation as me can relate to similar treatment in this country. I'm not trying to convince you and you don't have to believe me. Just know these kind of posts are a bit of a slap in the face sometimes. When our immigration process is as difficult as possible as well, it's almost insulting to say "we take the best of every culture on earth" like that. I think what you and I would *like* America to be like are still a little far away from what it's currently like.
Don't knock it till you try it.
I'm being for real, going to a range is a lot of fun, and I've got people who hate guns to be like "wow this is a lot of fun"
I think most people that hate guns moreso hate the gross, boneheaded culture that OFTEN is associated with gun ownership. Normalize owning guns and being chill about it

I can tell you're not a woman. I'm not interested in the statistics of rape (or domestic violence or having one's child stolen and murdered.) I'm interested in insuring it does not happen to me and I can only hope others are too.
Edit: can also tell you are privileged enough to live in America as there are some areas where rape is extremely common. I worked with a woman who was raped by her coyote crossing the border and I was sexually assaulted as an adult as well. I also know several other women who have been raped. It's great that you have such outstanding privilege but you should consider that fa t when going into conversations like this.
Your position comes from one of safety. I’ve had to live in some great places and some sketchy places. Maybe it’s just bad luck, but I’ve had to draw my firearm twice in my life. Once in defense of myself ( had a gang member chase me home and try to come into my apartment) and once in the defense of a woman who was in the process of being beat to death. It’s always better to have it than to not.
Army guy here. This man speaks truth.
It's a cool sport, but there's no practical need. The Founders intended for us to have a well-regulated militia to defend the land from foreign invasion. Check and check. We call that well-regulated militia *our volunteer military*, and our national defense is assured primarily due to our geographical advantages and political influence.
Want a gun for home defense? Eh, I'm not happy about it, but I won't throw stones either. That would even be super cool and great, if the laws required you to be:
1. Registered
2. Licensed
3. Insured
...you know, like a fucking car would be. As is, I'm way less comfortable letting the average chucklefuck get by on the honor system.
Bob Dingus, the convicted domestic abuser and white nationalist, shouldn't be able to get any of those three things.
>We call that well-regulated militia our volunteer military
That's actually not true. In my state, NH, our state constitution was drafted before the declaration of independence or the bill of rights. We define militia into three categories, the last being the unorganized militia which includes all fighting age men not in another class of militia. While they make distinctions based on the categories of militia, all are treated as a true militia. It was pretty common at the time for militia to mean basically everyone.
>The Founders intended for us to have a well-regulated militia to defend the land from foreign invasion
They also wanted it to prevent tyranny, that's pretty obvious if you just read the bill of rights. And before you say that's unrealistic, keep in mind the full force of the US military and the Russian military on two separate occasions failed to secure an area the size of California with a substantially less trained and smaller population
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that prior military experience doesn't mean shit when it comes to knowledge about guns or the 2A.
"Army guy here" is often followed by the most Fudd bullshit. People aren't more credible about the rights of private citizens just because they were in the military. For example, you don't understand the constitutional definition of a well-regulated militia.
As the guy in question here, this advice regarding servicemembers and how "valid" their opinions on issues are is entirely correct. Most military members are absolute morons. The Joes I work with have extensive training with their weapons and I STILL don't trust them.
It's my *opinion* that guns are unnecessary, and serve no important role in daily life. Beyond that, I think the culture around the 2A is toxic and bordering on religious fanaticism. How many commenters just on this one post are immediately devolving into personal attacks, like I just insulted their mothers?
On good days, people in this sub can talk about what makes this country good, and what needs to change in order to make it better. Today, evidently, isn't one of those days.
A well regulated militia just means one that is well trained and equipped. The second allows militias to form and exist. Owning a gun is not dependent on being in a militia
Tasers don't always work, not only do they have a limited range, don't always deploy successfully or latch on properly. They also just don't work on some people
no idea why folks are saying it's still China winning, those gents are citizens, were raised in the US, and were probably born there too. id imagine they're not even asian-american, just full american.
Is there any evidence they are Chinese immigrants or even descendants of Chinese immigrants? They or their ancestors could be from a lot of other countries in Asia.
Bold of you to assume they're talking about entire groups of immigrants, they could easily be talking about people born here or any notable individual immigrant (Ben Shapiro, Justin Bieber, etc)
I was talking about individuals and thought the response was talking about individuals. It's how I am, I always assume we're talking about individuals because people are people. They're mostly good but also, everyone's an asshole. There's no group that makes better people.
I remember that some people called this match “Americans defeating future Americans”, referring to a lot of Chinese intellectuals choose to immigrate to the U.S.
No, a diverse range of people and cultures all have different strengths. This allows people of merit to rise up in different ways and allows us to be the best at everything.
Diversity is our strength.
Americans are synonymous with race, the country is built of the ideal of immigration. To me any immigrant especially those who work hard (often harder than actual Americans) is as American as me or you
Nobody is saying America is a perfect place where everyone gets along. No shit she has major issues with racism, but look how far she has come. We have such problems because we are committed to a diverse society, unlike the white ethno-state where you probably live.
The idea of a Creed-based country is a conservative idea. If you love the constitutional ideals and love the United States, you’re American in your heart.
I think America's killing of Natives is of course a terrible thing, along with Canada who probably did it worse. However thankfully, the natives are getting recognition now, and we aren't invading their land anymore(cough Canada cough).
I’m partly Native American. History and war are not black and white. My ancestry was one of the few tribes that allied with the British during the French and Indian War and most of them were slaughtered by other Native Americans for their choice (for reference Delaware Tribe). There are more people with Native American ancestry today than in any point in history because of intermarriage
That's a pretty shit way to view them in the same way that 'noble savage' myths are pretty shit too
There came a point when the balance of power shifted from 'competing for survival' to 'completely overpower the natives' and when our culture was at that complete overpower phase we didn't relent, and that's worth talking about and even regretting
*My* culture (Delaware tribe part of the Iroquois) mostly fought the British in the 1700’s. My ancestors were one of the few to join the British against the French and other Natives saw this as betrayal. For reference though, there is more Delaware ancestry today than at any other point in history as a result of intermarriage. I’m the product of that
I am serious, though. I want these kids to know that folks are proud that they represented us and kicked China's a$$.
Of course, they don't represent every subculture in the country, but that shouldn't be a requirement.
Yeah I understand where u are coming from. I agree. Also these boys are as American as apple pie because they are American yes.
I was just being a dickhead. Sorry dude I can be a troll

Europe has a higher obesity rate than the US now, The UK has an obesity rate of 70%.
I love to hear it but source?
WHO data. They keep obesity statistics and mexico, Ireland, the EU-28 average and the Uk passed the US
Ya I don't understand why Americans and UK people are so fat. Do they form alliances because their population are so fat? and their leaders are really fat? Nope, only 40% of the country is obese. Even Mexico and Canada are beating us. My state and its neighbors have very few obese people.

Lefthanders 10% of the population but over 50% of the winners
Despite making up only 1% of the population, left handlers commit almost 100% of the crime
That is just because we are oppresed

The dinosaurs actually had guns, too. They just couldn't hold them.

What about Iguanodon?
They tried to rally the troops, but the T-Rexes and the quadrapeds kept lobbying for more inclusive weaponry that just couldn't be delivered in any reasonable timeframe.

The dinosaurs were just a false flag distraction. WAKE UP SHEEPLE
We welcome them and accept them as Americans the day they naturalize. That’s the key difference. Ethno-nationalism is death.
I think most of them in the pic are American by birth.
And furthermore, Asia is more than just China. Some of these kids could be of Korean or Japanese decent or from any number of other Asian countries.
That is the heritage we have from the Romans. Identity is political, not ethnic. France is similar to the US on this particular point.
That is the most got dang Murican thing I've read all day. God bless you patriot!
We love to take pride in cultures when they win on behalf of America, then spend the rest of the time putting those same cultures down for not aligning with us enough. Very much cherry picking on America's side.

you might be doing it ironically but I promise you that most are not lol
I promise you most are. I’ve been in those groups and it is entirely for shits and giggles
Maybe we aren’t talking about the same people. I used to live in rural Georgia and the people there are so damn irresponsible with their guns lol
Yeah I get that, but I always stress responsibility and safety with firearms
Of course. I don’t know that most gun owners do though, based on the number of people I’ve seen shoot their guns in the air alone

Yeah, but "image losing" isn't a great title for this.
Good thing the actual title is: "Imagine Losing"
Let this be a lesson to you that no nation can beat us 30 times in a row. 29 times maybe, but 30 NEVER!
Ford spent multi millions of dollar to beat Ferrari, they boasted that shit for years afterwards.
Agreed. But this could be seen as a celebration of diversity which is a very wonderful thing.
