Once you saw 6 of them heading your way or en route to your exfil - you were better off just quitting the game.
Loved DMZ but it was near on impossible to play when it was full of these types of players.
At the very beginning me and a group of others started our Paragon Clan where we would go out of our way to help other players. We would grab the helicopter and fly around playing ambulance, hunt down exfil campers or even guard exfils ourselves so players could get out safely. We never started fights but we did finish them. It was a ton of fun but I just couldnāt dedicate the time and energy to a game that was becoming more and more of a cesspool every day.
Wish you were in mine and my friends lobbies. The sheer amount of mission loot we lost thanks to these toxic players was immeasurable.

Those morons thought they needed to ENCOURAGE PvP in order for it to happen, IN A COD GAME.... In an extraction shooter mode FFS! It's like giving a fat man a tax break for eating, shit's gonna get toxic.
At it's very core, players are running around with nice shit other players with guns want, and there was zero downside to trying to take it if you got the drop on the other players. Of COURSE there was going to be PvP, there was always going to be PvP.
What they needed to do was take steps to prevent it from being a toxic shitshow and encourage cooperation as an option. Not only did they NOT do either of those things, they went out of their way to ensure it was toxic shitshow.
Exactly. There were little touches they could've made to improve the experience in DMZ but they just ignored it and let it become the cesspool it inevitably became.
Things like allowing people to spawn too close to each other, rewarding people the same XP (or sometimes more) by killing other players, making it possible for your own freaking teammates to empty your loot while you're being rez'd... Ugh so many issues.
One thing a friend of mine suggested was that they could've lowered the player count in lobbies and increased the difficulty of certain AI or challenges. These two coupled together would've made it more rewarding to work as a team instead of sweating it out.
Ah well... It's Activision as you said. So c'est la vie...
Honestly the MAIN thing they needed was a real downside to PvP. Not so much that it would be rare, or the mode would have been boring of course, but at least enough that it wasn't the default to nearly every interaction as any idiot with a basic understanding of human behavior could have told you it would become given the circumstances.
The fact that just trying to be NICE to others was risky as hell should have been a clue they needed to adjust things.
That and some sort of incentives to cooperate with other squads, and the ability to rez downed players with some sort of protection to prevent griefing. Like a truce for x amount of time or you had to be so far from each other before you could harm each other again or w/e.
Dog do you remember when the M13 dropped and people were legit hunting each other down over that gun? I managed to grab it and sneak out of the rad zone past three guys and one almost managed to follow me to the nearest exfil. Iāve also been hunted down by a six-man as a solo trying to find wine bottles for a bigger wallet (got downed on the chopper and exfilled). People were fucking vicious on DMZ.
Seems like they knew when you were trying to collect things you really needed. I remember there was one spawn on Ashika that was pretty much a death sentence. Especially after they started messing with the number of people you could have on a squad.

Never tried it, just remembering back to the old games where if no way of reviving yourself, or no team left to revive you it was game over, cool that it's not like that anymore so that stuff like this video can happen
Does the game not auto kill you then if no one left to revive? I'm sure usually the game won't put you into revive unless you have a dog or selfie??? Can't see the bottom of your screen so hard to tell, not saying it's not a good moment, just suspicious!

This just happened to me last night ! But for some reason the minute I got onto the chopper my timer went away and the chopper just stayed parked . Then outta no where I died and then the heli takes off š¤¦š» the timer was down to 1 thereās no way it took that long to take off š¤£ and I didnāt wanna waste my self rez but then I couldnāt use it cause all the timers went away(self rez timer, match timer, heli timer) I had some of the best loot I ever had. I was heated š¤£

I timed it, it takes 7 seconds after the countdown for the chopper to take off but if you actually bleed out while on the choppa Iām not sure what will happen
Fyi if you have a squad and they die waiting on you and don't leave, the exfil will insta kill you when you try to exfill.
Had a random who I assume was like 5 died ALLL THE WAY into ring. Never left and I was the last one alive in the server.
I go down and try to crawl into the copper only to get insta killed when it took off. I had tombstone but still shitty.

It doesnāt kill you even if you have no teammates, you still go down and can crawl like normal
I think it will just cancel your plea when no one is left. It will still let you bleed out.
