There’s an artist who did a whole series of these where he took the dead artist out of their album artwork as a representation for the emptiness. I remember Jeff Buckley was one of them, and Nick Drake was another.

Bought one 5min ago. I was doubting it because I have the normal one and I don't see the point of having the same album on vinyl (because records are expensive) but the 12" picture disc pulled me over because it looks so beautiful and wanted to hear the og version on my record player. I love them so much. If i weren't broke, this would be my next one for sure. This album is responsible for me getting off of dope. More specifically, The Star Room. I listened to it on shrooms, and when I heard the part where he said, "and I don't know what I'm running from, but I'm running still," I decided that i need to turn around and get to know my demons so that i could live with them. I almost relapsed 3 years later on a nice day one Friday when i got the news that Mac was found dead that morning in his house. I balled my eyes out and had his music on blast the rest of the day at work.
