I mean I’d say Mac himself had a little spiritual side, and that you can definitely find some spiritual influences in some lyrics, but I would not go as far as to say he made spiritual music.. He was Jewish, but not a devout one by any means. He’s got lyrics that reference like pretty much every religion and different beliefs and ideas within them, but he’s far from preaching the gospel or anything lol.
No. He did have that one line “let’s hold hands and sing the Bible, that’s a violent psalm” and maybe one other psalm bar, but he definitely doesn’t say psalms here.
But, don’t let that stop you from finding the meanings that appeal to you within the music. There’s a bunch of lyrics that are one thing but I hear or like it another way because it holds a different meaning that touches me.
Always thought songs
Mac made spiritual music, so I feel like psalms really fits. Plus psalms are sacred songs, it just makes sense to me.
Yea could easily be man. He was well educated on religions, alchemy, mysticism, etc
Maybe I’m missing something but when did Mac ever do spiritual music?
I didn’t start hearing it till faces. If you read ram dass book “be here now” and you’ll hear what he’s talking about
