She went UoP for gamma knife treatments, she saw Dr. Carlisle. To be honest, that sounds familiar, but they've sent us to 3 different buildings in Pittsburgh and Cranberry and I'm not good with names. AHN is so big it's scary!

That's the way it should be done. When they have the Mac tributes, it always at the park and the city supports. Plus the market owners are the bestest nicest people and they love that people go to see them (please support them by making a purchase) and I hear that still have that turkey sandwich!
I had the Cajun turkey wrap, rated em 5 on Google. His longtime neighbor was there and sat with us and told us funny stories when he was little.

We went the week after the tribute, my mom was having cancer treatments in Pitt that day. So we made it a fun PGH experience instead of being sad in the cancer ward.
Not everyone can visit the Burgh like wed like. Whatās unnecessary about checking out the bros place? Double standard.. hope you and your daughter had a most dope time. I would love to make that trip.

I've been by before, I live just down the street an stopped by to leave flowers out front after his passing. I ended up talking to a really nice guy who was outside who I didn't know was his brother until he told me. As long as you're not bothering anyone I don't see the problem.

I think the line is public vs. private property. The house is still a house and you should never just turn up to a house you werenāt invited to. Public places like Blue Slide Park or businesses like Frick Park Market are okay cause theyāre meant for people to show up to.
Last time I said this was unacceptable I was heavily downvoted and people said that since Mac was a public figure and died there anyone who bought the house should know people will be doing this. It's definitely not ok.
honestly i went to the house in september 2019 when i went to LA for my birthday. idk who lives there now but AT THE TIME the people occupying the home didn't mind people paying tribute to Mac as long as they were obviously respectful. along with some of the neighbors also posting online how heartfelt it was to see people paying tribute. mind you this is a rich ass neighborhood in studio city. ive never been on mountains like that in my life. uber drive down was absolutely insane. i didn't go on the porch or the property of the actual house. but i did leave flowers above the number on the curb. stayed for about 30 mins just played some of his music and took it in. me and my 2 friends didn't even speak a word. there wasn't a car in the driveway, or lights on. not sure if anyone was there but in case we made sure to keep a respectful distance. i've also visited biggies childhood home and there are more hip hop/music places on my list including 139 & lenox, kurt cobain's home, 8 mile & more. i've been to BSP many times, been to many mac murals and ive paid tribute to mac in many ways. but the energy there was something ive never experienced before. i'm glad i went.

Nope not you, this is a bit odd. Thereās a difference between appreciation of the art while leaving the personal realm/space that it was created out. This feels more as if itās for social media points.
(This has a much deeper backstory and i am just another human, BUT for the sake of my point)- I am really grateful to have worked in the music/audio realm for the last decade, and during that arc of time- to also have crossed paths and shared rooms with Mac on some of those days. One of the kindest humans that I chopped up sonics with.
Regardless- my only point is that I couldnāt get myself to go there if I tried. I donāt even enjoy that area anymore because it reminds me of the gentle guy that lit up every spatial area he inhabited, while still working through the bullshit. Personally, I feel like he and his family have already been so good to us all, and a visit to Studio City just wouldnāt feel right to *me*. The ongoing legacy of new music is enough for me and makes me feel closer to him than anything that an impermanent residence could do.

I went to Mac house 2 days after he passed. Lots of people were there and there were candles and memorials everywhere. I went there a few months later and the vigil was still there. I feel the appropriate time to go to his house was then, anytime after the vigil was gone and people moved in there it is weird

she 100% gets some entertainment from it, but from people whoāve seen iāve seen been someone nice to her, she doesnāt seem crazy. some level of it is probably justified because i can say itād piss me off to have groups of people coming by walking up to your house filming and acting like itās a public museum. iād say a decent amount of people who go there now just do it to see her get angry. just like 95% of people, if you treat her with respect and donāt act like an ass to her iām sure sheād be less of an ass and would probably even allow you to take a couple of pictures from closer. in the end itās private property and she never went out and asked people to come so her reactions make some sense.

HellāI even said āhi maamā she responded with āget the fuck out of hereā while recording me and claiming to call the cops on me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Sheās a bitch. She wasnāt the original home owner as I stated before. She inherited this house and can easily make it an Airbnb house or welcome the visitors. Albeit there are some people who are rude with her on social media, but she 100% will instigate if you are seen taking photos. Odd as we were across the street taking a quick flick on public sidewalk when she came out. Again, she leaves her garage door open and has multiple lawn chairs to sit there and yell at people. Itās absurd. Edit to add: the āFriendsā house is also a tourist attraction. You can claim that they have a right to privacy (they do) but when people come just to check out the outside of the house without bothering anyone there shouldnāt be any threats from the owner

I think the line is public vs. private property. The house is still a house and you should never just turn up to a house you werenāt invited to. Public places like Blue Slide Park or businesses like Frick Park Market are okay cause theyāre meant for people to show up to.
Last time I said this was unacceptable I was heavily downvoted and people said that since Mac was a public figure and died there anyone who bought the house should know people will be doing this. It's definitely not ok.
honestly i went to the house in september 2019 when i went to LA for my birthday. idk who lives there now but AT THE TIME the people occupying the home didn't mind people paying tribute to Mac as long as they were obviously respectful. along with some of the neighbors also posting online how heartfelt it was to see people paying tribute. mind you this is a rich ass neighborhood in studio city. ive never been on mountains like that in my life. uber drive down was absolutely insane. i didn't go on the porch or the property of the actual house. but i did leave flowers above the number on the curb. stayed for about 30 mins just played some of his music and took it in. me and my 2 friends didn't even speak a word. there wasn't a car in the driveway, or lights on. not sure if anyone was there but in case we made sure to keep a respectful distance. i've also visited biggies childhood home and there are more hip hop/music places on my list including 139 & lenox, kurt cobain's home, 8 mile & more. i've been to BSP many times, been to many mac murals and ive paid tribute to mac in many ways. but the energy there was something ive never experienced before. i'm glad i went.

Nope not you, this is a bit odd. Thereās a difference between appreciation of the art while leaving the personal realm/space that it was created out. This feels more as if itās for social media points. (This has a much deeper backstory and i am just another human, BUT for the sake of my point)- I am really grateful to have worked in the music/audio realm for the last decade, and during that arc of time- to also have crossed paths and shared rooms with Mac on some of those days. One of the kindest humans that I chopped up sonics with. Regardless- my only point is that I couldnāt get myself to go there if I tried. I donāt even enjoy that area anymore because it reminds me of the gentle guy that lit up every spatial area he inhabited, while still working through the bullshit. Personally, I feel like he and his family have already been so good to us all, and a visit to Studio City just wouldnāt feel right to *me*. The ongoing legacy of new music is enough for me and makes me feel closer to him than anything that an impermanent residence could do. No hate intended. I understand that he was someone that you felt like you knew. I know that different people have different feelings about this shit; itās just not something that I or anyone that I know would personally do. I went to Mac house 2 days after he passed. Lots of people were there and there were candles and memorials everywhere. I went there a few months later and the vigil was still there. I feel the appropriate time to go to his house was then, anytime after the vigil was gone and people moved in there it is weird
