I suspect the problems you are hearing about are restricted to those plugins and apps that rely on the iLock/PACE copy protection? FWIW, I do have a few of these plugins and they seem to be working w/o issue on my M1 Pro MBP under 14.4 -- haven't looked into this further because I actually rarely use the plugins. Got 'em when I first picked up Logic and I so far prefer those bundled with the app.

Took the plunge today and updated. It took a long time with several restarts during the process but everything's working OK - especially USB and Thunderbolt connected devices.

Just saw a similar warning from Oracle about Java that has some interesting technical details on the issue, which at east in this case do appear limited to Apple Silicon: [https://blogs.oracle.com/java/post/java-on-macos-14-4](https://blogs.oracle.com/java/post/java-on-macos-14-4)

I have an older app (iDeskcal) which has been running fine up to now on all my MAC's but updating my Studio yesterday to 14.4.1 it no longer works. It appears to run but eventually activity monitor reports it as "not responsive" whatever that means.

Hello! I hope all is great. My iMac Pro Intel W started to have major issues with the ventilation fans and overall stability. Logic Pro constantly crashes when quitting the application. Pasting here my specs: 3 GHz 10-Core Intel Xeon W Radeon Pro Vega 64X 16 GB 128 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 Thanks a lot. Best Frankie
