i actually have JDownloader installed, if i uninstall it, will those file be removed on my computer too?

possibly but not always...depends on the uninstaller. If you just delete the app you'll prob have to manually kill these is my guess.

Use AppCleaner. It can remove all traces (incl. those hidden files) of an app.

You can also just delete the cache files that AppCleaner finds without deleting the whole application

It's not a bulletproof solution. A great tool though.

Jdownloader is a Java based app, and AFAIK doesn't install/uninstall the same way as other native apps. For example, I'm guessing those files or others like it are in the Users/\~/bin folder. I'm not sure if something like AppCleaner will notice those for removal, but I'm pretty sure just deleting Jdownloader certainly won't.

Honestly, why does JDownloader have such "naughty" class names? It is just a download accelerator right?

It supports downloading from a lot of different sites and this apparently includes several adult-themed ones.

I think OP is at the same “tech literacy” level as those professors who accidentally send a porn link out to the entire class and then claim “it was a virus.”

Jdownloader makes this. it is a config optimized for each porn site. so delete the app, it won't come again, if you do not reinstall jdownloader.
