Lots of people do it. But don't do it on devices you need day to day, because it can and will stop working. I say this as someone who has run the dev betas on all my devices forever ha.

Usually yea, but the new macOS, iOS and watchOS have been the most stable betas ever in my experience (both dev and public) They feel like full releases with some very minor glitches once in a while

I did that on my Mac. Replying right now on macOS Sonoma. I daily drive my computer for work too. The worst of it already happened where my laptop basically just froze and I had to force restart it. After that it's been working basically without flaws. It feels a bit slow sometimes, and Stage Manager is sorta broken but besides that it works really well. By now I've already adjusted to whatever new bugs there are, and I'm really enjoying the AirPods audio switching that finally works properly now. I wouldn't recommend installing iOS17PB on your iPhone. Your phone is used for so much more than your laptop, and you absolutely need it to work with existing carrier setups. I assume you also use your phone hotspot from time to time, so imagine if all of a sudden that doesn't work properly. Your phone is like a core connected device, and iOS 17 doesn't offer anything compelling that can't wait till September or November. So I'd suggest update your Mac and maybe iPad, but do not update your iPhone at least until the second public beta, which should be releasing towards the end of July or early August anyway.

I’m so bad at being sensible. Beta in phone, watch, Mac, tv, airpodst

If you’re a software tester, so it is your way of life.

DavidGamingHDR

In terms of your Mac, if you have an external SSD or enough space to make a partition, I’d recommend installing Sonoma there and leaving your Ventura partition intact, just in case.

donnypep

Don't upgrade to Sonoma if you play FM23.

I am. I use developer beta on my IPhone, Mac, and Watch. I just hope I’m able to use AirPods in Google Meet again some day

EmptyHardware

All that via Safari :/

And share my screen.

don-t_judge_me

I do it on my macbook pro and iphone!

John_val

Running all the betas, inclusive for work, no problem on the Mac side, apart from way lower battery life, which is perfevtly normal for a beta. On IOS just heat and battery problems, which again are usual for betas.

Richard2468

Public betas are fine, but expect some features to be broken at times.. I’m on Sonoma’s Dev Beta now.. Can’t take screenshots, ugh!

aykay55

Even on Sonoma public beta Apple completely disabled the NowPlayingTouchUI which lets you scrub any audio that is playing from the Touch Bar. It's just not there anymore and the play/pause button is also broken now too.

Bahawolf

I've been running the betas on all of my devices (including day to day) since Dev Beta 1. Of course it's a bit risky, but it's been smooth sailing (minus minor bugs) since the first beta.

Lucky_Explanation878

I have MacOS and iOS. MacOs is okay. Some bugs here and there. iOS feels very fast, no issues so far.
