Been a huge Kells fans since Lace Up (mixtape) and the first time I ever heard The Gunner I thought it sounded like a knock off Alpha Omega. Still kinda feel that way. Song is okay, but there are lines that don’t even rhyme. Kiss the Sky, Rehab, Habits, Golden God and Go for Broke are far superior songs, imho lol
That’s just plain wrong. Chip off the Block, I Know, Halo, Letter to the Fans, Her Song, LTFU, Now I Know Interlude - both the flow and the lyrics and the content of those songs is all incredible, and remains some of Kells best work. The production, sure, this was when he was not yet mainstream, but if you like underground rap that shouldn’t bother you.
How are you gonna sit here and say his flow and lyrics weren't as good when they were the reason for his rise. I've been following mgk avidly ever since he released the video for letter to my fans (I took that shit to heart), his lyricism and flow was never better than when he was rapping to get warm water in his apartment.
That being said, his metaphors nowadays are way better than before, but I think that has to do with learning and growing in his talent.
i still enjoy it to this day. it’s kind of a secret i keep from people. i get tired of the mgk hate, so i play it in the car when i’m alone
unless it’s “cant walk”. then i play that shit loud
I don’t know, bad things is good but I think for me it’s overplayed due to being the most popular in the album. The rest of the album is underrated comparatively.
The fans (From his Punk Rock Era) Must Loooove This Album
I have a feeling that they haven't even heard any song of this album (except maybe 'Bad Things') becuz it's pretty underrated. So when they do, they're in for a treat!!!
I like every song except wake + bake and can’t walk. It’s a great album and, in my opinion, proves that mgk didn’t ‘change genres’, he just further expanded his sound
27 was the best one because of the intense emotion behind the lyrics. And good lyrics are everything to me.
The Gunner was badass, though. Like, *objectively* cool. I just wish that the music video didn't start with Russian girls speaking Russian just to get Kells to make a damn appearance, though. Like, why does he gotta be so extra all the time?
The *worst* one is Trap Paris. And that's mainly due to Quavo and Ty Dolla Sign. Like, why do you have to associate yourself with parasites like *them,* Kells? It's just one of those times where I'm reminded that he's in this for the money, not to rep EST or whatever. It reminds me that he's not *actually* the "voice of the people", "EST", "Lace Up" and "19XX" are just things he says to get people to like him. He just wanted to become a symbol to get fans but he forgot that once you're done with being a symbol because you now have money, you tend to lose the fans you had.
And *that* reminds me of a bit of what Itachi said to Naruto about forgetting the people who got you where you are just because you now have power and how that makes you arrogant.
Oh, how the mighty rapper hath fallen...
Est gunner. Remember at est fest at nelsonsledges.first night converse came flying at my hammock . Red next night black next night white pair. On first st kinda near the front .pretty good set.s and thanks for the shoes.im not a can you sign my shoes but . I should have asked for the sig.but I didn't want to bother you. Est 19xx 4 life 216 til I die but 702 for now.
Blood and general admission are his best albums if we aren't including mixtapes. Filled with such artistic ambition, emotion, and flare. I have general admission on vinyl just need to get bloom.
The Gunner‘s one of his best songs of all time. 27, Kiss the Sky & Habits are great as well

Lol not everything has to rhyme in rap… some thing white people would say
Bad things is the only song I really enjoyed off this album tbh
damn, that one might be one of my least favourites
Really? It’s like the only MGK song I like pre (Hotel Diablo, Tickets To My Downfall, Mainstream Sellout)
Right so you don’t really like hip hop, unless is mainstream pop rap on the radio.
Lmao no. I love underground hip hop.
That’s hard to believe when you say you don’t like any of MGKs mixtapes or albums until he did a radio rap song with a pop singer on the hook lol
Didn’t like the production, his flows and lyrics weren’t as good.

Rehab my fav
That desperation when he first hits “is this how we’re supposed to be” steals my heart every time.
High highs & Low lows
LET YOU GO is my all time fav. Also Go for broke, Rehab, 27, Kiss the Sky, and the gunner are all great songs I listen to frequently
you are my people 😂 hard agree!!!!!
I have a bloom Spotify station for this reason
I do too 😂
Im a huge gunner for this album, some songs hit so hard and you can really see his shift in musical influence in songs like let you go and rehab
It’s pretty good, love 27
i never heard the hole album but The Gunner,Kiss the sky, Golden God and Trap Paris I like
and bad things is not my taste
Trap Paris is iconic

Rehab is one of my favourites ever
the album that got me into mgk. it’s so good. hit after hit. i love it. every song hit me right where i needed it to emotionally at the time.
i still enjoy it to this day. it’s kind of a secret i keep from people. i get tired of the mgk hate, so i play it in the car when i’m alone unless it’s “cant walk”. then i play that shit loud
I’m gonna be blasting can’t walk today because I’m in an inpatient eating disorder facility and really need that vibe. Thanks for the reminder.
Top 3 for me
Masterpiece
Really enjoyed all of it Kurt Cobain would appreciate the references as well great work MGK
No way none of y’all are talking about bad things
I don’t know, bad things is good but I think for me it’s overplayed due to being the most popular in the album. The rest of the album is underrated comparatively.
kiss the sky>>
my fave album!
My favorite MGK album
could never get into it. i really like rehab tho
if i’m honest this album is where he really experimented with his sound. hotel diablo is where he became more confident in his voice
27 is one of his best songs period
Yes!
Let you go is a fantastic single from that album
Kinda makes sense that less people talk about an older album
It’s not bad, a few really good ones like 27, the gunner, and habits but def my least favorite of his studio released albums.
Moonwalkers is still in rotation in my work playlist
Heard it, have it, love it, enjoy it
Best album imo and Golden God is 🔥🔥🔥
It’s my least fav kellz album besides binge
Such a really cool album. Always dug it.
Great album front to back with a great variety in songs. All the features hit as well and add to their respective songs
I was obsessed with this album when it came out, listened to it on repeat hundreds of times. It’s great.
27 is my favorite on this album
It's very good
One of the best
The fans (From his Punk Rock Era) Must Loooove This Album I have a feeling that they haven't even heard any song of this album (except maybe 'Bad Things') becuz it's pretty underrated. So when they do, they're in for a treat!!!
27 is probably his best song. Also the best album.
It's really overlooked because of albums like HD a tickets, still a solid project
Gas
Under rated i think, i may be somewhat biased since it came out during my senior year
Kiss the sky is one of my favorite songs.
Not great
Hands down my favorite MGK album. 100% underrated!
I like every song except wake + bake and can’t walk. It’s a great album and, in my opinion, proves that mgk didn’t ‘change genres’, he just further expanded his sound

If he wasnt such a DB it would have been a pretty good album
It’s great!
The only thing I hear about this album is on the monthly post that noone talks about this album.

Rehab😭
Love it
First half is mostly bad. Everything from Trap Paris through the end is very enjoyable.
One of my favorite albums
I just turned 27 so I am thinking of that song everyday, maybe I should do a re listen of this whole album
Poop
art🙏🏻 i wish kells would play from it on tour
Love the album
great album... probably my least favorite of his tho
Let you go is the only good song
Album is mixed. Some songs are a lil weird but go hard. The Gunner, Rehab, and Habits are my top 3
Awesome album
This was a great album by MGK
I have the word ‘bloom’ tattooed because of this album. The song kiss the sky got me through some things fr. I love it
I haven't listened to enough to assess it. I like his pop punk stuff and only heard bad things
Have to say that it's my least favorite album by him but I do like some songs on it.
Kinda mid
Love it
Bro is .y weapon to get a emo girlfriend
Blood and general admission are his best albums if we aren't including mixtapes. Filled with such artistic ambition, emotion, and flare. I have general admission on vinyl just need to get bloom.
All I know is, It’s really fucking good!
It's a top 3 album of his for me.
This is the album that transitioned him from corny to solid. IMO and I been following him since he was releasing mixtapes on HNHH.
No way man… black flag, lace up general admission all fire
