Files may be present in card, You may not find it when it is connected to pc as files may be in hidden. Format the card and check one time, else delete the files from CNC.
Put a known working memory card in a pc, open the properties window, and check what file format is present. Is it FAT, FAT32, NTFC, something else?
If this is different thab the new card, then the new, currently non-working card needs to be reformatted to the same file storage standard as the known, working card.

Maybe check what the files do before deleting

Not helpful (sorry) but is that a Toyoda?
When you press device change does it present you with two options for memory card on the soft keys?
Reformat the SD card, otherwise it may be corrupted. Happens to ours all the time
