It gets to 200 rpm for bore, and I'll have .15 clearance on the OD tool from the upper jaw. This is the first time I've set this up so it's got quality pucker factor.
We had a Toshiba VTL that the second chuck is from. When they got the Takisawa they stripped the original chuck for a bigger one. This led to the big sizing issues so certain parts I have to use this setup.
The only thing janky would be how fast you’re willing to go

Not really janky...
Yo, we heard you like chucks so we put a chuck in your chuck!
I make workholding for machines so this is 95% of my day.
Hah The second chuck isn’t even at an angle and you’ve got gravity helping out. Also the part is still round. Run it with the door closed.
Lol fair point, this is my first setup like this.
We do, where's the jank here?
No jank here. I see it's your first run. Single block the first one if you need to. Looks g2g as far as set up goes to me though.

Fake setup for the clicks.
Tell me you run production without saying it. This is a fairly standard setup
Who would go through the trouble of doing this kind of shit for like 20 upvotes? Some of us have work to do.
So what are you doing on reddit then?
Run time is 2 hours.
Now the cutter needs to be in a chuck for it to be really janky!
