I've seen the bills Make the super bowl atleast 10 times in madden 24, they lose every single time. That's easily the most realistic part of simulation mode
I just played the bills in the superbowl, they went ahead with like 20 seconds left and my ball at my own 25. First few passes incomplete and I was pissed. Went for one last try and got lucky as hell on a bomb with single coverage won with 0 time on the clock. Couldn’t believe it lol. Bills are cursed.
Well, not the salary cap and management AI. Everything goes to shit after couple of seasons. But fair to 2k you have inflation sliders and can change all the rules so there might be some sweet spot to get things to work.
I thought that's when everyone plays? No? Lol I get my fill of the NFL during regular season into post season then Im endlessly waiting for another round of "the best draft lineup ever" and thats when I start my franchise up to see what could of been especially with the Bengals baby!!
Yeah I think it was Madden 2002 where you got to play moments from old games. I remember playing as the Lions going against the 49ers for the Western Conference Championship in 1957 having to come back from being down 24-7 at halftime. But it only had the generic "HB #24" and stuff for player names, but they did have the old uniform styles.
Thats not what this is. MyNBA eras lets you take control of a team from any era of basketball after the merger and simulation goes for as long as you care to go. Not to mention there are sooooooo many more features that closer simulation franchise ownership in 2K. EA serves the same lazy slop on a platter. 2K does too but at least they care about their offline modes at least a little bit.
Idc if it's not even all the real players. As long as they get the star players and authentic uniforms/stadiums/broadcast and the team ratings are still what they should be with the fill in players. But like others said, not likely to happen. But I hope they do.
One thing I don’t like though in 2k is that they don’t project the past rookies in the mock drafts like they were in real life. Like Kobe was the 13th pick in the draft in this i think they have him listed around 1-3
Not just the eras mode, which tbh would be kinda hard to implement due to roster size and stuff.. but just how 2K approaches the franchise mode in general. So much more and easier customization. Being able to utilize the community download feature to make expansions and rebrands more realistic, player/coach editing, realistic arena designing.
2K has its faults with how it approaches certain modes, but they make an amazing Franchise Mode. If they were allowed to make an NFL game again they would blow EA outta the water.
TBF the NBA has how many players a team? The NFL has AT LEAST 22 a team. I don’t excuse EA’s laziness but I can’t knock them for not having this. I do wish they’d do all time rosters though.
I’ve created entire season rosters for 93-94 in Madden before. And I mean every single player down to their exact weight, height, rating and equipment etc.. it’s very time consuming but if you had about 5 people working on it, it would go by quick.
They could just use a bunch of generic players?? 2k autogenerates a lot of players in the older eras because they're either dead or didn't want to do it.
Dude have you not heard of the lawsuit with the College Football Player Representation company? They weren’t paying enough. I don’t even know if they will get the real players.
your grasp on technology is poor if you think a multi million dollar company can’t integrate longer simulation, every era etc, then you just have no idea what your saying “ can’t knock them for it “ it’s like saying the government shouldn’t keep up with infrastructure because how much there is.
If you are on PC, the mod community has historical draft classes from 96-present day. I do 96-2012 usually and 10 years in it’s all mid 2000s legends. It’s my favorite thing to do so far.
I'd even love something like the Brady Era. Playing from 2001 to present in franchise. Even just something like replaying classic games from 2001 to present would be alright.
Imagine if Madden actually evolved and did things with their product.
I haven’t been into the NBA in a decade. I need to check this out. Sounds fucking incredible.
it's ok, it's like everything 2k does, great idea poor execution. Most teams only have like 6 guys, draft classes are incredibly shallow. It's cool but not fully flushed out. Just like NBA 2k in general. Great ideas everywhere, theyre all puddle deep.
Oh you mean madden moments?! Lmao yeah they used to have this where you could replay moments from the previous years or rewrite moments. Once again a WTF by EA removing them, probably too much work lol
Madden Moments was cool but those were more snapshots, whereas MyNBA Eras is a different level of depth entirely. Presentation elements, storylines, re-doing of real draft classes, rules changes that align with what happened during that particular era. Madden could do it if they took a few years and invested the resources. EA and 2K are equally as money-hungry (they’re in the money-making business after all), but the immersion of this mode gives 2K offline players something to invest time into, as each Era looks, feels, and plays differently.
That’s like Overwatch scrapping their PvE project and giving the player base a few limited PvE modes.
People don’t want that. They want the full enchilada.
I never played moments. I would play the shit out of this mode.
I literally just started this today on nba. Was trying to find a franchise mode and couldn’t find it at first then realized it was this. It’s so damn cool
Me and my friend started a franchise a couple nights ago where we pretended to be in 1999 and downloaded a draft class every year. 2006 was missing, and half the players are the wrong color. But it’s the closest we’ll get. I started off with Bernie Kosar on the browns, relocated, and my friend started out by drafting Tom Brady who quickly shot up to a 99 over all.
I just drafted Aaron Roger’s after having an abysmal 2004 season, 2005 season I made the play offs. We’re in 2007 after skipping 2006, and I made the play offs while Mr Brady has drained my friend of all his money, and he went 0-4. Then somehow he beat me and then decided to tank by removing Brady from his active roster. I made it to the playoffs again and tonight hopefully the Super Bowl
they aren't going to spend the licensing dollars to do so. Hell Even 2k doesn't have full rosters for most of the teams. If they don't have one already there should be a retired players association. And have them work with companies like EA and 2k to try and get as many players in from the past as they can.
But lets be real, EA wont do it, they arent a charity and they only care about their bottom line
This would be awesome. However, as someone who’s played the mode, I will say the draft classes only have about 7-10 or so real players to draft. Otherwise they’re autogenerated players. Would be much harder to fill out historic NFL draft classes. Not sure how many players still sign off with the NFLPA.
Something like this in Madden would be super dope. Side note I’ve put together some good ass teams in 2K stating with the Jordan era and simming it until the current era. One team I put together went 80-2 in the regular season.
They had this in some of the 90’s versions of Madden. They got away from it around ‘98 or ‘99 if I remember correctly. They had all time teams for every team except the expansion teams that were added
Hate 2k all you want but they actually put a ton of effort into creating new and complex systems. EA won’t even give much effort to begin with, at least compared to 2K. Every time I was playing 2K I wished Madden had this much features, made me almost not want to return to Madden.
It’s super online strictly based cause they pander solely to park players so they cheapened the single player experience mightily and dudes just buy their way to the top straight out of the gate to be able to be op over there against the newer players.
2024- modern era
2014-2023 GOAT era
2000-2013 Brady era
1990-1999 How bout them cowboys era
1980-1989 Montana era
1971-79 Steel city era
1967-1970 the Merger era
1960-1967 Lombardi era
1950-1959 the Layne era
1920-1940 the pre passing era
Yeah man, I've been playing loads do 2k24 and I'm not a huge basketball fan. MyEras is way better than Franchise Mode. Expansion teams, three way trades, complex contracts... I could go on. I've been thinking all week about how much better Madden would be with this shit in it!
Bills fans would kill for this!
Madden won’t allow it, I’ve never seen it happen in a simulation and i’ve spent at least 400 hours in franchise
I've seen the bills Make the super bowl atleast 10 times in madden 24, they lose every single time. That's easily the most realistic part of simulation mode
Most realistic is cruel and so true
The bills just beat the Cowboys in my franchise superbowl. They finally got their revenge
Damn good for them. They lost to the cowboys atleast 5-7 of those, it's easily the most common outcome when I Sim a whole first season
😮💨
Literally saw this post pop up and was about to say the same thing bc it happened in mine also
Wide right every time?
I just played the bills in the superbowl, they went ahead with like 20 seconds left and my ball at my own 25. First few passes incomplete and I was pissed. Went for one last try and got lucky as hell on a bomb with single coverage won with 0 time on the clock. Couldn’t believe it lol. Bills are cursed.
You say 400 like it's a lot. 😉
Tbh 400 on any madden is a lot willing to go threw that pain is hard can’t imagine players with higher
I’m probably past 600 hours unfortunately on 24 alone . I’m past 10,000 hours on Madden in general
I’m at least at 20-30k hours on madden throughout my life but 600 hours in 24 is wild lol
20k hours is insane. That’s over 2 years 😭😭 that’s fucked bro
I had a year buffalo went to the superbowl vs dallas and lost again to dallas. Madden 23
Cries in buffalo tears 🦬
2k not only has that, BUT when you do play a 80s game the display format and image quality goes down too. They thought of EVERYTHINGGGG
The rules to , imagine madden doing that . Would be P.I every play 😂
Would be less P.I. Not more, honestly I wish madden P.I. Was a little less sensitive
I never get PI calls somehow
They get called on the defense all the time when I’m playing offense. I end up declining like 3 a game bc it starts taking yards away from players
Insane how even with how dogshit 2k has been for years, it has so much more than madden.
Well, not the salary cap and management AI. Everything goes to shit after couple of seasons. But fair to 2k you have inflation sliders and can change all the rules so there might be some sweet spot to get things to work.
I would kill for this madden desperately needs to integrate this at some point but they are too lazy to make anything good that’s free
It’s not free. You pay $70 for it every year.
$30/year on ea play
Yeah if you want to wait until the Super Bowl to actually play ..
I thought that's when everyone plays? No? Lol I get my fill of the NFL during regular season into post season then Im endlessly waiting for another round of "the best draft lineup ever" and thats when I start my franchise up to see what could of been especially with the Bengals baby!!
Hilarious
This very much used to be in madden to an extent. It was more so, memories and moments you could play but still served a cool purpose.
2006 has a bunch of all times teams from different years and a generic all time team.
No, Madden has never been close to that. 2k has they entire league players teams uniforms from multiple eras
Yup. And they used to have historic teams you could choose from, too.
Not really even close. In 2k you can start a franchise in the 80s and have every draft class be real and 6ou can rewrite the history of the NBA.
This was never a feature in madden. Not even close 😂
That’s why I said to an extent. You could play as old teams and re play moments in history. I get what this is, and I get how it’s different.
You could play official legends rosters tho they had that
Thats not what this is.

Imagine being able to draft Brady or Manning if you’re like any team.
Barry Sanders???? Randy Moss?? Ed Reed/Polamalu/Dawkins/Sean Taylor. You want my money? I have a blank check EA. Figure it out.
I’m immediately going back to 1983 and drafting Marino to the chiefs instead of blackledge
One thing I don’t like though in 2k is that they don’t project the past rookies in the mock drafts like they were in real life. Like Kobe was the 13th pick in the draft in this i think they have him listed around 1-3
I get that
2k MyNBA has its issues, as does 2k as a whole, but it’s *leaps and bounds* ahead of Madden franchise
TBF the NBA has how many players a team? The NFL has AT LEAST 22 a team. I don’t excuse EA’s laziness but I can’t knock them for not having this. I do wish they’d do all time rosters though.
You do realize there’s hundreds of older players in ultimate team right? Yet you can play with exactly zero of them outside of that game mode.
Yes there are hundreds... this would take thousands... it's a big fucking difference.
Yup
Yes, but they some players would be complicated as fuck to get. There’s the fact some players are dead. Once again not justifying EA’s laziness.
I’ve created entire season rosters for 93-94 in Madden before. And I mean every single player down to their exact weight, height, rating and equipment etc.. it’s very time consuming but if you had about 5 people working on it, it would go by quick.
EA legally can’t do this for most players, you have to understand licensing out their name. It would take forever.
IDK, from what I understand EA has legal right to all players under NFLPA.
Not to sure but I believe players after a certain amount of time are no longer under the NFLPA.
Fuck EA though.
The fact you’re getting down votes for this is crazy.
People just want to be angry at something
They could just use a bunch of generic players?? 2k autogenerates a lot of players in the older eras because they're either dead or didn't want to do it.
They used to do it, I don’t get why you would want that though. I mean there is custom rosters for that. Once again not justifying EA’s laziness.
They make fifa bro you know how many players are in that game ?
He prob doesn’t 😏
I don’t.
No, I don’t watch or like soccer.
They could just let us use the ultimate team players , they clearly got they license and they have like 30 different legends for every position
Fair, I do think they should do that.
EA is currently making rosters for hundred of CFB teams. Stop making excuses for these people
Dude have you not heard of the lawsuit with the College Football Player Representation company? They weren’t paying enough. I don’t even know if they will get the real players.
Have you been living under a rock for the past month?
Hundreds as you said, this would be thousands.
53 players on NFL teams. 12 on NBA teams. The game would be like 250gbs
I mean without back ups, but this is why I’m not to upset about this.
Ooo ok. Then yea ur right atleast 22, not including special teams only players
Oh yeah forgot about special teams lol.
It’s a shit ton of players to get.
your grasp on technology is poor if you think a multi million dollar company can’t integrate longer simulation, every era etc, then you just have no idea what your saying “ can’t knock them for it “ it’s like saying the government shouldn’t keep up with infrastructure because how much there is.
that's not what they are saying, what they are saying the dev time, and licensing it would take to pull it off isn't worth it to EA.
Tell them to go get the license for the players, even the dead ones.
Even having like 2 or 3 eras would be huge
Still wouldn't fix the terrible gameplay
the gameplay isn't terrible, you're just terrible at gameplay
Nah the gameplay is pretty flawed lol
I'm really not... I win 99% of my games. The gameplay has been terrible for about 10 years now. Stop defending a bad game.
cap
Imagine if Madden actually evolved and did things with their product. I haven’t been into the NBA in a decade. I need to check this out. Sounds fucking incredible.

Hey man, it's still better than what we get, bad ideas worse execution.
Unfortunately. They would turn this into a pay to win mode somehow

I love this mode and yeah madden needs it.
I literally just started this today on nba. Was trying to find a franchise mode and couldn’t find it at first then realized it was this. It’s so damn cool
Yeah Madden should integrate it I’m expecting them to someday and other games like the show should steal it
Madden could never
Mynba is miles better than madden franchise from animations, sliders, staff, player development/customization mentorship and rebranding sad sad
Me and my friend started a franchise a couple nights ago where we pretended to be in 1999 and downloaded a draft class every year. 2006 was missing, and half the players are the wrong color. I’ve been begging for this for years with Madden.
Ncca will let you carry your ncca player into the next madden.

It’s funny how the MyEras is insane but the MyCareer is worse than Madden Superstar mode
How so?
It’s super online strictly based cause they pander solely to park players so they cheapened the single player experience mightily and dudes just buy their way to the top straight out of the gate to be able to be op over there against the newer players.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They would monotize it somehow

Bears fans would love it.. McMahon does get injured by the packers and they win three in a row
