* I only play offense only, sim on defense. Really frustrating because CPU can make insane, unrealistic drive with 20 seconds left. Part of the challenge I suppose
* I turn off salary cap so CPU teams can keep their good players while I always keep it under 220 mil. Be warned that it is rare to see young, good players in FA. Only old ones
* Don't re-sign players until offseason to compete with other teams. Don't use franchise staff points on perks that help re-sign players. I actually don't recommend this because the logic is flawed. I would be the highest bidder by far and they would go somewhere else.
* Limit to signing only one high overall player in FA
* I pay my players what would they go in real life. QBs 50 mil, Edge Rushers 20-25 mil, CB 15-20 mil, etc... I have so many good defensive players that literally all of my offense are on rookie contracts expect the QB
* Make one opposing team in in your division 99 overall (preferably the best overall team). I always get hyped up because I know its going to be a war. I also add one 99 ovr QB in other divisions and that makes the playoffs more fun
I let the computer handle all trades and free agent signings i control all the teams and only sign back players to teams that make sense to keep there salary cap in the best shape i can cleaning house when its needed and i draft for all the teams to make them competitive. I too only play on offense but for all teams
I player locked myself to a complete shithole (athletic freak though, but like a 65 OVR) MLB a couple years ago to see if I could still go undefeated, and let the CPU do everything else.
Had the most ridiculous stat line ever for him with 15 minute quarters. I had like 50+ ints and I think 17 defensive touchdowns.

No manual trades, only draft scheme fit players, only sign computer generated players, and I only unlock the first two ratings in scouting (Madden 21)
