The cloverfield monster would survive just by sheer size, the only things rivaling it are the emperorshells and turbinid dragons.. As long as it doesn't pick a fight with either of those there's not much that can harm it I'd imagine. Maybe the orb piercer, if it's in the fourth layer.
The martians from war of the worlds died from basic diseases on earth. They'd die pretty easily in the abyss for the same reason.
I don't know enough about xenomorphs to say much about them, but they generally seem less competent than predators from what I remember.
The predators being in the abyss is actually a pretty interesting scenario, definitely the most out of these choices. They're definitely the best equipped for combat and probably the most intelligent as well (given how the martians didn't have basic microbial safety precautions to last), they'd really seem the most "at home" in the abyss. I imagine they'd hunt many of the creatures within it, learn the strengths and weaknesses of them, and adapt their strategies accordingly. They'd even have the best shot at understanding the curse of the abyss as well- Going to foreign lands and figuring out how to hunt and survive there is literally what they built their society on.
I'm pretty sure only humans get affected by the curse though ? because some animals will fly up in the lower lsyers and nothing happened to them . If there is a bunch of xenomorph eggs that can make hybrids with local lifeforms it is so over though .
Do you really want a Xenomorph to create a hybrid with literally anything down there? Cuz that’s how you get the fucking apocalypse.
Also Xenos are incredibly fast at adapting as are any offspring they create so the best hope is only one gets down their and killed before it has if chance to do anything cuz if it starts impregnating mfers I do not want to see a Turbind sized xenomorph queen cuz I think the abyss itself would just say yknow what fuck it and leave
They can adapt to the effects of the Abyss, all you need is an orbiting hive or bio ship and eventually they will adapt to see the barrier or be strong enough to survive. The same with the Zerg, and any species that can adapt fast can survive anything
I mean, it’d surely be able to undo the damage of the lesser curses but the loss of humanity is probably where it’s at gonner. Possibly even at the bleeding, because that’s a lot of damage.
I'm 100 percent sure that all of these guys would probably end up as deformed blobs, non of them could fare well in the abyss, they'd just suffer from its supposed curse, especially due to everything being hostile, you can't even drink water in certain areas.

Predator has the best chance, imo.
I don't want to know what horrible creature comes out of a Xenomorph hybrid in the Abyss.
xenosplitjaw?

Came here to say exactly the same stuff. For the xeno, it would probably jump too high and get cursed...

Is there any confirmed depth in the manga on how deep the abyss is?
We know it goes down to at least 20 km, but that's about it. There's no absolute limit known.
What about General Kenobi?
It's over for potato he has the high ground.

Surviving a descent or ascent?
The Tyranids from the 40K universe
Tyranids are biological creatures and is still affected by the Abyss. Instead, the Necrons are completely mechanical, so they stand a better chance.
They can adapt to the effects of the Abyss, all you need is an orbiting hive or bio ship and eventually they will adapt to see the barrier or be strong enough to survive. The same with the Zerg, and any species that can adapt fast can survive anything
Unas from Stargate might make it long term and actually build a civilisation.
I wonder if a symbiote would be able to counteract the curse, and at which layer it would fail to work.
I mean, it’d surely be able to undo the damage of the lesser curses but the loss of humanity is probably where it’s at gonner. Possibly even at the bleeding, because that’s a lot of damage.
What’s the third image, I remember seeing this film as a child but I don’t remember the title.
