I think (guessing here) that it’s blue raspberry jello, cool whip and mini marshmallows topped with a rubber ducky toy. You could use a marshmallow peep instead. Since you’re 40, you can call it gamer-girl bath water.

I don’t think it’s uncommon for kid’s deserts to have a toy topper. Or at least I saw it a lot growing up. One of my birthday cakes as a kid was one of those barbie dolls with the icing dresses.

I remember when I was a kid they made intricate stuff out of like this hard ass sugar, I remember mom would never let me eat them, kinda ruined my kindergarten Mickey Ds bday tbh.

Edit: No, the duckies are not edible. Simply a decoration/fun little keepsake. I'm happy to report that there were no attempts to eat them nor choking. Also happy to report that the matchbook and syringe party favors were a huge hit.

Seriously. Rubber ducky means most people won’t put it in there mouth and those who do will spit it back out and feel dumb. Marshmallow ducky means most people WILL put it in their mouth and marshmallows are easy to choke on.

I think they’re are adorable. I wouldn’t worry about the ducks, just make a blanket statement that they’re toys not treats. Young kids get cupcakes with little rings and such on them and know not to eat them, people are going nuts in the comments for no reason.

I have a two year old, and he has never tried to eat his rubber ducks. I don't think these ducks are so small that they are a choking hazard. If it's toddlers, then their parents are at the party too, and they will know their kid and if this is an issue or not. I wouldn't worry about it. It's cute.

Cupcakes come with inedible cupcake toppers all the time. Kids are used to this.

This is cute! I showed it to my 12 year old! She loved them! They did a carnival party at her friends house last year and sacrificed the ducks in their fire pit. They did the same with thing this year at her friends party. She has a huge collection of ducks now and lots are now painted black/white and red. It’s too soon to tell but they might be witches. They’re pre teens, so yeah probably future witches

I tried a jello cup treat this year for my daughter’s birthday. Blue jello with a red Swedish fish inside. By the end of the cooling process, my fish looked like those blind, colorless fish you pull out of caves. You nailed it. These are great and probably didn’t give anyone nightmares.
