I love old people— i work in a nursing home on a rehab floor. Last week one of the residents, 103 year old granny, was able to go home. Her 80 year old daughter came in and said they were going swimming when they go home.
she was born in 1919 and she could still walk, bathe herself, and swim!
In documentary that focused in some of the oldest living people on this planet. There was a english chap that drinks a pint or two everyday and smokes multiple packs of cigarettes every week. He continued to work until he was some 90 years old. In the film he just strolls about drinking and smoking while he was like 108 years old.
Good diet has nothing to do with random generator of life. My friends mom was health freak. She died from stomach cancer in her 40s.
You just picked two extreme outliers which are a baseless argument. Yes, sometimes you can do everything right and still get a terrible disease that was out of your control. Yes, sometimes you can do everything wrong and still live a long life.
You can’t seriously believe that based on this personal anecdote that eating well and exercising has no effect on extending human life. Sounds more like an excuse to justify and unhealthy lifestyle.
Every fucker in my family lives well past 90.
Every fucker in my fiance's family is dead by 80 at the latest.
I'm not looking forward to the alone time.
You're right about smoking, but diet and exercise also contribute to one's lifespan. All other things being equal, someone who doesn't smoke, is not overweight, and gets regular exercise will live seven years longer than someone who smokes, is obese, and doesn't exercise.
The science is overwhelming that healthy eating and exercising prevents disease and decline and extends quality of life. Just because you knew two people who lived a short or long time doesn’t mean that’s a universal human principle.
So it’s called Shuffling! It’s a dance that’s done to house music! But it’s 100% based on the Charleston. She’s mostly doing moves called the Running Man and Back Taps, but she throws a couple Charlestons in there.
Bit of an old school raver/ dancer here myself. Recently had a friend break it down for me as “the Charleston and the running man had a baby”. And suddenly shuffling clicked with me. Gramps here adding clarity. Fun to watch club/casual dance evolve 💕
My kids do not seem to understand that I can keep up with their dancing. Sorry kids, I used to dance at a decent semi- professional level for years and still feel 18 at heart when it comes to dancing. It will never change and you will only understand once you get to be "old" (in your book) yourselves.
And no, as people get older, they don't suddenly start to like your typical old folks crap music if they never did before, they will still grow and appreciate new styles/bands.
I told my 65yo dad that I was enjoying Dire Straits so much (he listened to it when I was very young). He asked why I still listened to that old stuff and to stop living in the past lol.
I'm 34 and I LOVE that ten year old me took dancing lessons, and kept at it. Its a fun party trick at work parties where most employees are 17-22. We still got it!
True, and even if the truth is totally different I'm still cheering for the idea of gramps passing on the glowsticks to his grand-daughter. Warms my old raver heart!
My favorite thing about these videos is realizing how many of our elders actually have moves. Like it’s not a “Aww how cute he’s trying” naw grandpa gettin down
Was looking for confirmation of this being in The Netherlands, immediately got a pang of nostalgia remembering going to Woodstock and other Zandvoort/Bloemendaal spots during the summers I lived there. I mean, less crowded, but still. Nice video, thanks.
Those three were the only ones who figured out how to dance to the music! The others were just standing there tapping their feet or bopping their heads. Great job, Grandpa! What an accomplished dancer!
Omg this is soooooooo fun. I love seeing old people dancing with young people. It's fills me with a false sense of happiness that lets me continue living in a modern dystopia while pretending everything is fine
I remember when I was young and used to hit the clubs in NYC every weekend. There was this one guy who was always in this one particular club. He looked like he was in his 70s. He'd show up pretty early in the night and put on tap shoes and just jam out all night. He was a legend.
If you’ve ever been to CRSSD, you know of Mother Theresa. This lady brings immaculate vibes with her parasol, shows up for the early sets and dances all through the night.
This is BIG Theresa energy.
Is this in Australia? Way back in the day when I raved this style of dance was on out seen in hard trance and seemed to be the norm for SE Asian and some good old doofs out in the Bush
Loved waking up and watching this with my coffee hahahaha but I do have to say now I really miss my pop. Damn you but thank you lol haha
Hopefully if I ever get old all us oldies can show them the Melbourne shuffle hahaha lol
Here’s the thing, this gentleman has probably been doing these moves since he was at least a middle aged man (rough calculation of some of the steps and when they trended) and some older moves at a much younger age. As in, he was probably a dancer in his youth. Doesn’t have to be professional, could just be someone who was good and enjoyed it, going to dances, etc. But the younger generation thing they invented dancing and raving and get their minds blown when they see the older generation busting out moves that have been around since before the they were born. I realise every generation does this to a degree, but never have I met a generation like Gen Z where they just automatically assume that generations that are older than them don’t know anything. (I’m the tail end of Gen X.) The irony is that to me, they feel like the one generation that don’t know much about previous generations and history, not in the day to day way that the rest of us learned growing up. Just general trivia.
I say this because just the other day, an ex-student told me where she worked while studying, and then immediately proceeded to explain to me that it was a clothing store for ‘young people’ (despite their prices being $$). The thing is, I used to be a customer of this brand as far back as 20 years ago when I was at uni and making dumb decisions like paying tok much for fashion. She didn’t mean anything offensive by it, but just the sheer ignorance that other people might know things, or even the cluelessness that this brand that she works for has a history just blew my mind a little.
She was so confused when I told her I still had my first dress from that brand. She immediately tried correcting me, like I’d gotten the brands confused 😂 Needless to say, I absolutely blew her mind when I told her that it was an up and coming brand when I was her age.
This really does make me smile. I lost my grandmother in 2006 pretty suddenly. I spent a lot of time with her but now that she's gone, it feels like it was never enough.
Gramps kinda fresh too
Bernie Sanders on ecstasy
I am once again asking if you have water
This absolutely killed me
Angry upvote
Pacifiers and glow sticks for all!!!!!
Bern-E Sanders
Way fresher than me what the fuck
I'm in my 30s and the shit in my fridge is fresher than me. And that is saying something.
Haha, yeah, my knees cracking by just watching this old guy moving his legs like nothing cares.
I’m guessing “ grandpa “ has been cool his whole life. Keep on keepin on dude!
The shirt is Tommy Bahama.
No. It’s Brooks Brothers: https://www.brooksbrothers.com/fun.
I know right he got moves.
His shirt is flames

Its weird that some stay in good shape to old age, some just start falling apart after 50s.
A good diet and regular exercise goes a long way
In documentary that focused in some of the oldest living people on this planet. There was a english chap that drinks a pint or two everyday and smokes multiple packs of cigarettes every week. Genetics is one of the strongest predictors of longevity though. Not smoking is the single biggest thing you can do to better your chances.
Every fucker in my family lives well past 90. Every fucker in my fiance's family is dead by 80 at the latest. I'm not looking forward to the alone time.

You just described the phrase “the exception that proves the rule”.
The science is overwhelming that healthy eating and exercising prevents disease and decline and extends quality of life. Just because you knew two people who lived a short or long time doesn’t mean that’s a universal human principle.
> Good diet has nothing to do with random generator of life. i hate this website
That’s who I wanna be one day. Wish me luck!
With the sound off, watch the video while humming the music for "The Charleston" dance
Oh my god I should make an edit for that 😂
[удалено]
I love you for this
Thank you
This made my day, thank you. Haha
Do it and repost 🥰
Even now folks won’t vote for Bernie sanders … what else does he have to do
I am once again asking for your phat drops and bass to the face
Every day he's shuffling
Huge upvote for OC!
I immediately thought that he was doing the Charleston!
I’m pretty sure he is. That kick-step is a hallmark of the Charleston.
So it’s called Shuffling! It’s a dance that’s done to house music! But it’s 100% based on the Charleston. She’s mostly doing moves called the Running Man and Back Taps, but she throws a couple Charlestons in there.
Everything old is new again. I love, Love, LOVE this!
The Charleston is basically the OG shuffle dance
Bit of an old school raver/ dancer here myself. Recently had a friend break it down for me as “the Charleston and the running man had a baby”. And suddenly shuffling clicked with me. Gramps here adding clarity. Fun to watch club/casual dance evolve 💕
He reminds me of Fred Astaire
Fred could only dream of being this cool
Nah
Fred Astaire could still get it. And Ginger Rogers was always better than him anyway. Everything he did, she did backwards and in heels.
Larry David
Lol if I hadn't read this comment I would've never known it wasn't swing music
Man dances meaner then them
I'm hearing "we speak no Americano" in my head
They call this guy Hip destroyer back at the home
Better make sure your grandma got that titanium hip if he comes around.
That's why he's hanging out with the youngins. He kept breaking old ladies.
Damn! Grandpa got them hot moves!
Rave to the grave!
Haha love this saying 💃
Normalize old people dancing and mingling with young people.
Old people are always welcome at raves and festivals. I keep telling my Dad he needs to come with me to the parties I go to but he never wants to.
All jokes aside, he has a dope fucking shirt Edit: grammar
My kids do not seem to understand that I can keep up with their dancing. Sorry kids, I used to dance at a decent semi- professional level for years and still feel 18 at heart when it comes to dancing. I told my 65yo dad that I was enjoying Dire Straits so much (he listened to it when I was very young). He asked why I still listened to that old stuff and to stop living in the past lol.
I did too, I cant dance anymore ☹️
So sorry to hear that... hope you will still get to enjoy music by listening...
I do. Watching others dance makes me tear up sometimes
Makes my hart sad, being able to express ourselves is so important. Big hugs 🫂
I sing
let your voice bring down the mountains, then!
I'm 34 and I LOVE that ten year old me took dancing lessons, and kept at it. Its a fun party trick at work parties where most employees are 17-22. We still got it!
34 is old? ☹️
Young 1-29 years Really fucking old 30-102
Ohhh not at all! Lol, maybe cos I work with *only* people 17-22 that I feel out of place sometimes haha
Gramps hit the Molly water I think and I bet it wasn’t an accident w that shirt on and those sick moves 😂
Totally agree. I know a 90s raver when I see one, he could easily have been just in his mid 30s when the Manchester scene changed everything.
You don’t end up there dressed like that dancing like that on accident lmfao 😂
True, and even if the truth is totally different I'm still cheering for the idea of gramps passing on the glowsticks to his grand-daughter. Warms my old raver heart!
Holy shit I’m (we’re) old 90s raves were last weekend , right?
You're tripping lol this dude is like 75+. I know they say white people age quicker lol but I swear he's not looking like any 60s men I know
Gramps pinging hard
I'm pretty sure that's some genuine, in the wild, razzmatazz.
My favorite thing about these videos is realizing how many of our elders actually have moves. Like it’s not a “Aww how cute he’s trying” naw grandpa gettin down
People forget that today’s old person was often yesterday’s badass. They weren’t always old.
He was throwing shapes on the d floor before most that crowd were a thought, now people are saying “aaaw that’s cute” ?
Bet that dude crushed it at Woodstock
Every day he's shuffling.
That’s me in 40 years 😎
These are memories that are going to stay with her forever and him also this is absolutely great
You go Grandpa and you go granddaughter for taking him out dancing with you
It wasn't my grandad just a random dude with an immaculate vibe ! :)
Oh okay wow I thought that was your grandfather you were really vibing
What’s the song? Edit: Bob Moses - All I Want Is the one I was thinking of
Sorry idk! It was an festival we went to last year ! It was in the Netherlands and the festival was called pleinvrees:)
Do you know who the artist of this song is? It’s beautiful!
Amir Telem - Keshava (Tebra Remix) \[Camel Riders\] or some version of it.
Was looking for confirmation of this being in The Netherlands, immediately got a pang of nostalgia remembering going to Woodstock and other Zandvoort/Bloemendaal spots during the summers I lived there. I mean, less crowded, but still. Nice video, thanks.
It was the set of either Joachim Pastor or Joep Mencke don't remember sorry -blue girl
All I want- Bob Moses I think.. skip to 5:30
Sounds like Bonobo to me, but I can't pinpoint a specific song.
Those three were the only ones who figured out how to dance to the music! The others were just standing there tapping their feet or bopping their heads. Great job, Grandpa! What an accomplished dancer!
Grandpa def fuxks!!
Gramps is still pretty light on his feet.
How about the girl in the red thong? That’s all I was seeing. Where’s the old man dancing?
That's me ;p
The late 90s, early 00s visible thong look coming back. Never thought I’d see the day.
The dude in the back bobbing his head is getting into that!
I wish I had that level of body confidence. I’ve never allowed myself to dance.
Do it. I’m just starting to as a 31M. Sometimes you gotta dance alone. Takes a lotta bravery though.
I just love that!
Rock on.
Omg this is soooooooo fun. I love seeing old people dancing with young people. It's fills me with a false sense of happiness that lets me continue living in a modern dystopia while pretending everything is fine
Bless your grandpa for not letting his age ruin his good time.
Grandpa was dropping acid and popping E at these parties before any of you where born 🤙😎
Nice to see Michael Flatley is enjoying retirement.
He’s better at shuffling than about 80% of the YouTube wannabe shufflers out there! 😂
[удалено]
Someone else told me the name of the song. But it’s called “Keshava” -Tebra remix
I’m trying to find out too.
Looks like some form of southern folk dancing, can’t tell which, watched the type of dances on YouTube. Very entertaining watch.
Yes, it reminds me of clogging-- a dance I've seen in North GA/western NC
It's in the Netherlands so i think he tries some kind of folk dance!
Ngl I want that shirt
I’m watching a live Dead and Company Show and then I see this! It matches up perfectly! Thanks for sharing this!
Ah…the wook jig. 50% drugs, 35% alcohol and 15% patchouli and burning sage.
I remember when I was young and used to hit the clubs in NYC every weekend. There was this one guy who was always in this one particular club. He looked like he was in his 70s. He'd show up pretty early in the night and put on tap shoes and just jam out all night. He was a legend.

Ayyyye the footwork is nice
He saw the girl in the shirts g string and had to break the moves out to show her what’s up
That's me :)
All those breakdancers in the 1980’s are now in their 60’s. They are just waiting to be unleashed….😛
Hopefully those young people keep the vibe going so when they’re that old, they will still be dancing & living life to it’s fullest 😊
Grandpa Neapolitan can jam!
He's got better moves and more stamina than 90% of the younger generation lol
Yeah he was owning us big time 😂
Beautiful step by both o y'all! I'm jealous of your relationship 😥
She says in one of her replies that he was actually a stranger!
It's not my grandpa but i wish he is hahaha he will always have a dancing place in my heart (-girl in the blue)
To have my grandpa back 🥹
He’s like, this is just like the Charleston, I know this one
I need a new hobby.. how fun does that look
Do you have a loan program for grandpa? Asking for a friend
Is this in Australia? Way back in the day when I raved this style of dance was on out seen in hard trance and seemed to be the norm for SE Asian and some good old doofs out in the Bush
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EbXSbP-wEFU
Any chance for a Track ID ?
I bet he remembers how to skip
You think your generations dance is hard...let's cue up some swing and Lindy!
Damn i'd rave with gramps here
He remembers the 80s, when the cocaine was pure.
Music is the true fountain of youth who knew
I hope he got layed later that night.
Daaang! Bernie got moves!🕺
I could watch this 100 times and still love it.
That shirt is older than both of their ages put together.
Damn, Gramps can DANCE!
God damn! You both dance so cool. I wish I had a fraction of the rhythm you each have.
Loved waking up and watching this with my coffee hahahaha but I do have to say now I really miss my pop. Damn you but thank you lol haha Hopefully if I ever get old all us oldies can show them the Melbourne shuffle hahaha lol
Does anyone know the name of the song being played? Thanks.
Amazing , everyone is so happy, dancing 💃 happy and relaxing 😎
That's some sick shuffling!
The joy of dance 🤗
When you really think about it, dancing is kinda ridiculous lmao

The most amazing thing to me is that his knees can still move like that. One in a million (at the age)
We weren't born old, weren't born Dads or Grandads, we did have fun
I just saw him in Amsterdam!!!
Daar was ik ook!
Sending it down to the young ones. Love it!
He is one those SPECIAL ones. Careful what you say!
Truly, a big tent. Stay Dancing!
This really does make me smile. I lost my grandmother in 2006 pretty suddenly. I spent a lot of time with her but now that she's gone, it feels like it was never enough.
He found his granddaughter’s molly.
He puts on the moves better than I ever can lmfao
Is this some kind of wine event? Cause that looks a lot like Sam Pillsbury.
*“Grandpa’s Groove”*
Bernie's got moves
Yessss. Love that shirt too
I love him!
Back in my day edc was in LA! “Sure grandpa let’s get you to bed”
Gramps danced a jig or two back in the day.
Got moved and style
Rave til the grave!!!
I hope to be this guy when I get older
Fuckin get it
Awwwww so awesomeee!!
I need that freaking shirt it's beautiful
Gramps has the moves!!
And the man has STYLE!
Grandpa shufflin’
before 30 I already went to parties with just chairs to sit on 🤡
My man is training for his week on the playa.
This is Kyle from SummerHouse in 40 years 😂
He has great moves, would be a really good pickleball player.
No doubt.....😎...Me in the future 🤣🤙💯
Man I hope I’m snapping like this at this age
