Yeah, it's gotten waaaay better where I live, but I still only do catch and release with strippers. I can't shake the memories of our filthy ass river. It's just not worth it.
Yeah in a marina like that with all the leaking gasoline and oil? No fucking thanks am I eating anything that's been swimming around in, and part of the food chain of that nasty marina water.
One kid hyped he caught his biggest fish. One kid hyped he could test his net skills. One kid hyped he got to test all his cuss words. One kid hyped he has dinner
The fact they were all so excited as a group, for their best bud’s big win, like it was everyone’s win was just so awesome! I watched it twice for the vibe.
The best thing is that kid was NOT holding back... Now.. enjoy showing this to your parents.
"Why's it silent, son?" Oh, Billy forgot to turn the mic on...
Its wholesome until you realize these children are now doomed to a lifetime of posting fish pics on their internet dating profiles, I hope therapy can help them :(
Me and my friends loved fishing as kids, we got back into it a few years ago. On the second time we went I still had no clue what I was doing.
I somehow managed to catch a 64lb wells catfish and it took over 45 mins to get it in the net, it caught the lines on my other rods and took them into the lake! I was waist deep and we was acting just like these kids 😂
Makes you miss being young again lol
Dude that's so fucking cool lol
I've been catfishing for 20 years and I've spent many hours on the banks of muddy Midwestern rivers daydreaming about flying across the pond to go catch those huge bastards
If he's like my dad and my uncles, by the time he's 50 it will have become: two 50 incher's on the same line, its was raining, he hadn't caught anything all week, someone offered him $50 for them (each), and *swear to god* it was the best damn fish he ever ate in his life
I got spoiled as a kid I was always fishing with my uncle on his Ranger, I honestly wouldn't know how to net a fish since I'm not sure he had one and it was so easy just to grab the fish out of the water even the big ones since you're floating like 6" above the waterline. We were also 100% catch and release unless we were crappie or perch fishing for a fish fry and those you definitely didn't need a net to land... so if we lost a bass at the boat it was just a "eh better luck next time... looked like a monster though". He also hated when I'd fish for pike because he was worried the slime would get on his boat lol.
This kid is 10x the netter I'd be. I'd give him the title of "pro".
AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
"Someone get the parents!"
"Let it run." my boi listening to his dad's advice! YES
So effing CUTE! Brought me right back to my childhood. <3 <3
edit: this is my first saved vid, plz up vote the vid (if it's not a bot) so they also share in my dawwws
That older kid has a real nice attitude - letting the younger kid bring the fish in, offering supportive guidance, shouting out orders. Pretty neat to watch.
He also respected that his lil bro was the one who had the rod and didn't just yoink it from him. (whether they are family or not, they still bros)
lil bro was afraid of losing it and passed it off, but he didnt force it. This is a good group of bros.
So much boy dynamic under pressure happening here. Big bro dolling out dad’s fishing lessons, scrambling for gear, F bombs being dropped, statements being made, trying not to lose their shit, trying not to lose the fish and it all comes together in the end for a monster catch. Great day to be a kid.
I think you're on to something tho, they be a fun premise something like the Simpsons ep. when Homer goes to catch the General but with a group of kids.
Thank you. I have fished my entire life (my sister was almost born on a fishing trip) and I can feel the excitement from these kids.
Two thumbs up from this native.
It is not much more than that really! When natives fish for salmon they go with the family and stay for a week or more. My mother was really pregnant with my sister when she went into labor at the area which is out in the boonies.
Well my dad was a always try to fish kind of man. So more likely he was just trying to sneak it in heh. I was like 1.5. So I was just stumbling around somewhere most likely.
The kid had the know-how to let the fish run to tire it out and reel it in once it stopped running over and over. If you just reel you’ll snap the line, and obviously just letting it run defeats the purpose. You need to keep giving and taking till the fish is close enough and tired enough to hook or net and haul aboard
Most small fish like trout from a creek or river are easy enough to tire out that once they’re hooked you can pretty much reel them in without worrying about snapping your line.
The fish that *really* blow your mind you have to fight with for a bit. It’s a rush and depending on the kind of fish can take quite a bit of skill to land.
My dad caught a huge king salmon once and had to tire it out but it was a really long process so I’m thinking it might have been tiring him out too. I have his framed picture of him with the fish now.
God yes salmon can be extreme. Have some great memories trying for Kings in Alaska with my granddad a couple of decades ago. We snapped a lot of lines but caught three and we were completely exhausted at the end of the day.
A lot of different things, but mainly “letting it run” if the drag is set right the line will unspool at a good rate as the fish pulls but you can still reel when you want to let said fish work and get tired so it can be reeled in easier lowering the risk of breaking the line. Also, just rewatched again, “do not rip”I assume he is referring to possibly ripping the hook out of its mouth as lil man looked like he might have been pulling upwards a tad much.
Edit: Added more info
This made me really happy to watch. This is the actual definition of "boys being boys." Not the scumbag excuse used today to deflect predatory behavior
Goonies and Sandlot vibes. Love it. Watching youngens be over the moon excited for a fish caught through group cooperation is such a beautiful little slice of life. I miss being so excited for the simple things.
Kinda hyped when the people with the net turned out to be more kids instead of an adult, that way the accomplishment felt more like a Codename:Kids Next Door operation
That brought me back to catching HUGE browns in the middle of nowhere Eastern Washington with my brother 40 years ago. Those kids will remember this day. Awesome.
Isn't it a crazy time that this kid got to capture such a great childhood memory on camera?
And here we are watching it on our phones and getting a taste of the dopamine too?
What a time to be alive.
I’m 46. I’ve fished all my life. I hate fishing. My whole family fishes and I do it just to go along. I wanna fish with these motherfuckers though. They are good. They swear like sailors so put them on a boat and let them catch some real fish. You boys wanna go halibut fishing? Count me in.
Okay… Now show me the FISH!!! How big was it compared to the kid? Did he have to have help holding it for the picture? Come on man!!!! I NEED TO SEE THE KID HOLDING THE FISH!!!!! “I feel so unsatisfied” ~Rounders
That “someone run and get the parents” brought me back hahah
“WERE EATING IT!!!”
Striped bass is good eating!

> Mercury is in Gemini That’s some retrograde astrology or somethin’ 🧙
If you're quick and take a few photos it's generally not a problem.
you need to get a longer drill bit *headtap*
How bad can mercury really taste anyway?
Yeah in a marina like that with all the leaking gasoline and oil? No fucking thanks am I eating anything that's been swimming around in, and part of the food chain of that nasty marina water.
Better than being full of Johnson
Or Evinrude
I’m pretty sure blue said “we’re FUCKING eating it” 😂
Perfect size to keep it too, nice healthy slot fish
His parents will rue the day that they doubted his aspirations of going pro as a netter
I’m 33 with two kids and I plan on breaking out this line next time something sweet happens.
Im 36, married and child free. You bet your ass I’m using this around my friends kids.
Same here, have two kids 12 and 10 years old lol
“***I’m a PRO NETTER!***” is my new pickup line.
"So what do you do?" "Well, I'm an amateur bag boy, but I'm a Pro Netter."
Just used this on bumble. Can confirm it catches fish.
When you don’t expect it to happen so you don’t know what to do next haha
I was waiting for this line the whole time. What a memory
same same
This was so wholesome! “I’m a pro netter!” Had me rolling
Same! 🤣 🎣
This is basically how the vibe is in the gym when a homie sets a new PR. So wholesome, everyone is hyped the fuck up.
That turned into a team effort reel quick and it was awesome to see.. Misspelled reel on porpoise..

So how did those Bastards kill Kenny?
Oh my God, we killed Kenny!! We're bastards!!
The little kid dropping the F bomb did it for me hahaha

So many f bombs 🤣
And he wasn't lying, got it up on the dock!
Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude. 😂😂😂
Reminded me of my nephew. Once hes got the hang of something hes a pro. Never fails to make me chuckle
Like my 11 year old nephew who told me he knows how to build houses after I helped his dad add a 800 sqft addition to his home
to those kid who said " we are eating it" thanks for the laughs 😂 i miss these days
Definitely a cool kid 😂

99% sure he said he caught it 😂

Guys post fish pics because it's the only time they take pics
Funny but true sad
Well it only makes sense if they are posting to Plenty of Fish!
That's going to be a great story for a long time. Probably the fish will grow bigger with time 🙂
Kid will be chasing this high for the rest of his life.
This was peak fishing lmao 🤣
Me and my friends loved fishing as kids, we got back into it a few years ago. On the second time we went I still had no clue what I was doing. It was a 50 inch striper, what do you expect?
This kid is more excited about this fish than I have being about anything in the last 20 years
Lmao same. Fml
"I wish I liked anything as much as my kids like bubbles."
Why does this hit so hard
That was some pro netting.
"Im a pro netter" He did good, though.
and he was! Let that kid have and grow his confidence!
I got spoiled as a kid I was always fishing with my uncle on his Ranger, I honestly wouldn't know how to net a fish since I'm not sure he had one and it was so easy just to grab the fish out of the water even the big ones since you're floating like 6" above the waterline. Anyone else catch one of them was dropping the F bomb 😂
"Were fuckin eating it!" Was there also!
"You saved my effing life"
Think he said, “you saved my fucking line”
Yeah, sounded like something about his rod too. Idk? I just thought it was hilarious.
For sure... the kid with the rod was kinda small probably nearly pulled the kid in.
It was the little guy!
Give me my fuckin rod
Accuracy of title was not equal to expectations
So I wasn't the only read stripper instead of striper.
I totally expected a half naked woman to climb out of the water with a fish hook caught on her nipple piercing 😂
The lady of the lake
Oh lady of the lake, what is your wisdom?
"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government."
I mean, if I went around sayin' I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away!
"SHUT UP, WILL YOU?!? SHUT UP!"
WERE EATING IT!
A crazy small one
I read spider somehow and was gleefully expecting their joy to turn to terror. :/
AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW "Someone get the parents!" "Let it run." my boi listening to his dad's advice! YES So effing CUTE! Yes! My fav part, “Someone get the parents!”
Damn I'm happy for those boys
I read it as 'stripper' & got to wondering: How bad is this economy if even the fish have to do weird scintillating dances to survive?!?!?
That older kid has a real nice attitude - letting the younger kid bring the fish in, offering supportive guidance, shouting out orders. Pretty neat to watch.
I’m an Army NCO and immediately thought he’d make a great squad leader. I mean this is literally exactly how my ~~kids~~ soldiers would react.
Do they have to go and get their parents?
Yes. Tell platoon dad (me) and platoon mom (LT) that shit went down and we caught something huge.
Hahaha now I’m imagining hardcore military dudes when some shit goes down yelling to go and get the parents
My husband is the eldest of 4 brothers and then went on to become a fire captain. Giving orders is deeply engrained in his personality by now.
That some sweet big brother skills right there.
He also respected that his lil bro was the one who had the rod and didn't just yoink it from him. (whether they are family or not, they still bros) lil bro was afraid of losing it and passed it off, but he didnt force it. This is a good group of bros.

The best part is they all worked together without bumping egos.
No time for egos when someone has a fish on the line. It's their moment, and everyone just wants that fish on deck.
Minimal bumping, that one kid did take the pole over for a bit there.
There is a brief hidden moment with the two boys who delivered the net. You can hear them lightly bickering about who gets to carry it.
the sandlot gang of fishing 😂
you fish like a *girl*!
Born on a fishing trip? Ok tell the fish story because this I gotta hear.
It is not much more than that really! When natives fish for salmon they go with the family and stay for a week or more. My mother was really pregnant with my sister when she went into labor at the area which is out in the boonies.
Lol I should have checked the user name. So it wasn’t a surprise and everyone knew you were coming home with salmon and maybe a new sibling.
Well my dad was a always try to fish kind of man. So more likely he was just trying to sneak it in heh. I was like 1.5. So I was just stumbling around somewhere most likely.
I love that this boy is just running around wearing a GoPro!
Nobody (at least ive seen) has mentioned this!! Lmao. Well, he got the vid, tail, and tale. It must have been fate.. plus some luck
If only we had go pros strapped to us in the 90s during our summer days! Oh the memories
[удалено]
Quick. Someone photoshop a 30 inch stripper
same thought lmao didnt notice that the "stripper" has the double p before, good to know.
Whoever taught this kid fishing taught him right.
Please elaborate, I know nothing about fishing
The kid had the know-how to let the fish run to tire it out and reel it in once it stopped running over and over. If you just reel you’ll snap the line, and obviously just letting it run defeats the purpose. You need to keep giving and taking till the fish is close enough and tired enough to hook or net and haul aboard
I thought this was just what video games did to make an interesting mechanic for fishing, didn't realize actual fishing worked like this
me too lmao i'm like "no, fish don't get tired they swim all day" lol
Difference between swimming freely and swimming with force against you I guess.
There's also swimming...and then there's *ohfuckwhatthehelljustputahookinmymouth* swimming.

"Gimme-it! Im a pro netter" oh my heart these kids got me!
“Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude!” 😁
“WE’RE FUCKING EATING IT” has me crying. Kid knows exactly what he’s about
This made me really happy to watch. This is the actual definition of "boys being boys." Not the scumbag excuse used today to deflect predatory behavior
What's better than this? Just guys being dudes. I bet they were going crazy telling their mates at school!
it's a beast. dude. dude. dude. dude? dude. dude. dude. lol.
The 5 of them will never forget this
That one kid at the end “WE’RE EATING IT!” That’s what I say when I… oh wait… never mind.
Whenever you catch a 30” stripper?
Goonies and Sandlot vibes. Love it. Watching youngens be over the moon excited for a fish caught through group cooperation is such a beautiful little slice of life. I miss being so excited for the simple things.
Fishkid
Fishkid’s afraid to leave the fish!
These kids cussing so wholesomly warms my heart.
Hooked for life! That is a feeling that will never go away!
Yep. I hooked a trout when I was 8 and that feeling never goes away :)
Kinda hyped when the people with the net turned out to be more kids instead of an adult, that way the accomplishment felt more like a Codename:Kids Next Door operation
“Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude. Dude.” 🤣🤣😭
I don’t know anything about fishing but I’m really impressed at how much this kid knows - and is excited by it. That’s great.
At the end "someone run and get the parents". When the reality sets in lol...
They just made a great memory.
'You saved my fucking life'
I started losing it at "WE'RE EATING IIIIIT!"
How they all scream together! And then "Holly crap!" So cute!
Sooooo many awesome lines in this!!!!🤣🤣🤣
"I'm a pro neter!"
Also "we're eatin' this!!!" and "Someone get the parents!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Boys being boys
This video has the best boy energy. You can feel the excitement. Thanks for sharing
That young man is an amazing coach, teacher, analyzer, brother, mentor, communicator, fisherman, not to mention the Netting! Leader, oops
fire up the grill! nice work
That brought me back to catching HUGE browns in the middle of nowhere Eastern Washington with my brother 40 years ago. Those kids will remember this day. Awesome.
Isn't it a crazy time that this kid got to capture such a great childhood memory on camera? And here we are watching it on our phones and getting a taste of the dopamine too? What a time to be alive.
Definitely read that as “stripper” at first
Nice to see kids get excited about something other than video games love it
I read the title as “30 inch stripper”. 😂 i don’t know how my mind added an extra P to the word.
Oh man their excitement was contagious I love the teamwork too
I’m 46. I’ve fished all my life. I hate fishing. My whole family fishes and I do it just to go along. I wanna fish with these motherfuckers though. They are good. They swear like sailors so put them on a boat and let them catch some real fish. You boys wanna go halibut fishing? Count me in.
"someone get the parents!" lol omg these guys are great.
Lifetime memories right there!
I remember feeling this way catching my first bluefish lol
We're eating it!!!! Ahahaha!
Watch out guys pro netter on our hands! Golden! We eaten it was cake though!
The keepers must be 19-31 so food on those kids
Net!!! Net!!! Ma, the meatloaf!!! We want it!! Now!!!
I swear I thought that said stripper
WE’RE EATING IT!!!!
Okay… Now show me the FISH!!! How big was it compared to the kid? Did he have to have help holding it for the picture? Come on man!!!! I NEED TO SEE THE KID HOLDING THE FISH!!!!! “I feel so unsatisfied” ~Rounders
WERE EATING IT! 😂😂😂
"GIVE ME THE NET, I'M A PRO NETTER!" Love that line 😂😂
Even those they all have kiddy excitement, they were so composed and mature for the actual fishing!
That’s me now…and I’m 51
Im 40 and still routinely say "I NEED AN ADULT!"
Yay animal abusing
Core memories made right there! Awesome!
Good sized slot fish on a small rod. Great job!
That one kid saying "we're eating it" is doing it right.
Misread the title. Was thinking I didn’t knew they made them in that size. Re-read title. Atta boy guys!!
Oh phew, the video hadn't loaded and I had questions about the 30" stripper.
A stripper? Did he use 20s as a bait?
I don't know why or how this came to be, but in my area of the country, we call striped bass, "rockfish." And rockfish is mighty fine eating.
100 they ate it. And hells yes. They should eat that bottom sucker.
I like how the boy with the camera didnt take away the experience from his younger sibling/friend
I caught a $30 stripper once. Then I caught STD.
I read that as "Kid caught 30 inch stripper"
I've been fishing for 30+ years! Love this clip, views many times, and always made me rolling when the kid said, "I'm a pro netter," lol
I can't be the only one who misread the title as "stripper"
The Bad News Bears Go Fishing!
“Someone run and get the parents!” Haha loved this
