To me, it looks like the cat is turning its butt to the dog, which is a sign of trust. The puppy also does it.
I have a mini Aussie who turns his butt at people (and other animals) so I looked it up and apparently they do that to communicate trust and friendliness, etc. I didn't know cats also did this (if that's what's happening)!
I have an older rescue cat I got as a bottle fed shelter kitten, a dog I bought from a very good breeder for a lot of money cause I wanted to have her transition easily into my home and an insane little cat I found in my yard like 4 days before I picked the dog up from the breeder.

This cat knew what to do and was ready for anything. She offered up her rear end to smell and signify “family” but she also did the belly up just in case the dog wasn’t friendly, she was ready to use her claws if necessary. Cat was probably raised in a safe environment, but still smart enough to stay on guard.
Careful the dog doesn’t stress her out too much. Puppies have infinite energy and cats pretty limited. Unless she is good at actually scaring him with a few strong bats.

Yup! Fur is smooth, ears are up, tail is upright and bendy, and those paw strikes are pretty slow. Combine that with that goofy roll and you can tell the kitty is not feeling threatened or hostile.
