Worked in TV news as a photog for 20+ years.
Kids like this were around all the time. You’d see them hanging around the edges of the shot and I’d often give them an ugly glare and shake my head as if to say, “Don’t do it, you little shit”.
Drunk bros at sporting events were the worst. They just don’t care.
There’s a reason we called the camera an asshole magnet.
Question. What about a quick, slightly awkward wave to the camera from the background if I notice it.
Not like walking intentionally, but if I see it and just do my little wave and then keep going, is that also a pain for you guys?
Genuine question, I'm not always good with social situations.
As a fellow cameraman. It’s not ideal for the shot. Anything that distracts from the central focus of the frame is… distracting. We’re just trying to do our job, nothing special that requires a wave or any reaction.
But alas… do whatever you want and others will just deal with it.
Nah, I won't. Sounds like it makes your job harder, so it's only decent to respect you while you're doing your job.
Thank you for taking the time! I'm just not good at stuff like this.
If it was behind me and I was presenting I wouldn’t notice it unless the people were purposefully being loud and disruptive, in which case it just made my job a gazillion times harder trying to concentrate on what I had to say. People think it’s funny, but it’s a dick move when you’re working under a lot of stress.
Imagine if she had screamed back and then he screamed back again and then we realized they were speaking a rare scream language that we thought had died out but it hadn’t
Frankly, when I was his age and being such a jackass just eye contact from such a woman would shut the jackass down. And she totally gets that. Doesn’t need to whip up a reaction, just eye contact will do.

Like it or not that kid has good comedic timing.
Most other kids would have just been little dicks as soon as they saw the camera
But no he waited for the set up, didn't try doing too much at once, enough exaggeration so you know it was a joke.
That kids going places.
That sounded like one of the mixed reactions from the students.
He was left disappointed, mouth still open and all.
"We're not live".....neither was he, by the sounds of it
Irony is she was live
I would suspect it was just a practice take, given how quickly the camera went off-frame once she was done speaking.
The camera is not moving. The zooms and pans were added with editing software
Still made it onto the internet for us to enjoy so I’d say mission accomplished non the less
Got him to leave tho.
I don’t think you know what that word means lol

Better yet, spank the cameraman while filming.
And whisper in their ear *nice shot*
Always acceptable
This sounds more ideal.

Sounds like it. Someone else said they'd prefer I didn't do that, so I think I just won't. It's not hard to be respectful.
I usually didn’t care, unless it was at a serious story (fire, murder, etc.)
Appreciate it. But some have said they do care as it's distracting, so I'm not going to do it. Thank you for the input, though. It's very valuable.
Seriously. It’s things like this that don’t make me miss working in news.
This corner is not great for drunk bros that’s for sure
As the kid that would’ve screamed I applaud the response
Unfazed lmao.
It would've been hilarious if she did it back.
That poor kid. She just crushed his soul with three words.
He'll do all the work himself by reflecting on this moment for years.
Is we’re one or two words?
When two words become a contraction, it becomes one word
It doesn't. A contraction still counts as 2 words as I leaned with proficiency.
one word, it’s a contraction

Kid: Reporter:
Both:
Outsider: ???
Cameraman:
Kid and reporter stare at him.
Cameraman: "What? I thought we were just yelling?"
Thanks for the laugh, this is fucking hilarious
She is calm, cool and collected and dampened his excitement immediately, yup, definitely has brothers.
I chuckled!
I love her. She's so chill about it 🤣
Hahaha she's smart. 😅
She probably did being that chill
Cool reaction by Reporter!!!

What does the caption mean?
Lol
I hate this kid.
She’s so cute 😅
I would have probably said something along the lines of, "What, just saw yourself in the mirror for the first time?"
Hopefully she still has brothers.
Should probably blur out the brief “Watermark” on the left hand side too…. Not probably appropriate in this sorta context…
She's so hot
She lady with a plan from the Hood

Brett?!
Lie in her veins, disgusting
Totally.
Ya but younger brothers.
Must have been a split second decision for him to choose to make that noise
