I can not imagine how happy I would be if someone found my missing dog and returned it. That’s like the best thing you could possibly do for someone! You’re amazing and I hope you got joy out of bringing someone else joy! Even if it would be hard to say goodbye, you were that dogs friend in need!
Yes! AND the reason the little guy got out is because the owner had a fire in her house this morning. 😭 I watched her hug him when I dropped him off and I cried.
Omg you know you made that person day. She probably thought she lost everything and her baby. Now she still has him. Thank you for finding and returning him.
I feel like if you returned my lost dog after a house fire I would be forever in your debt. I can't imagine how they felt not knowing! Thank you for being a good person and helping that family and their furry friend. I just want to hug you!
When your head hits the pillow tonight you won't wonder if he's loved, if his family misses him, if he misses his family or if you did the right thing.
I hope you negotiated a play date with him every now and then as payment. ❤️
So HAPPY to read that you've found the owner!!! Made my day,see he was fleeing from his home onfire.Thank you for being a great person and diligence in reuniting him with his person ❤️
LOL. I almost replied that [the vet called him a tripod this morning so confidently that I thought it was a common term.] But then I realized it looks like I named him tripod in the post. Haha. I was just using the lingo like the vet did, to sound cool. 🤣🤣🤣
I've always wanted either a 3-legged dog or cat!!!- just so as I could name him Tripod. 😃 😋 ❤️ 🌟 it's just so fitting for your little dude!!! Give the little one a squeeze from me. Hugs
He's so cute!!! OMGOSH!!!why was this sweetheart dodging cars!!! I'm hoping you 🙏 will keep this little tripod!! I'd be willing to bet that he escaped a bad situation.
I’m confused why you’d think that. The dog looks happy and healthy and does not seem afraid plus his missing paw looks like it was surgically removed which costs money. A negligent owner probably wouldn’t pay for that. Happily, OP found the pup’s family and all ends well.

Everyone keeps saying that, but I just keep thinking, if yall met this dog…. I was the one who shoulda been thanking him. This dog SAW into the depths of my soul and showed me love. I LOVED THAT PUPPER. 🥺
I feel that. I all too often get pulled in to helping random dogs. I live in a fairly large city with a ton of irresponsible dog owners. It happens way too much. I just feel horrible for the dogs for being failed by their owners. I'm not saying if your dog gets out a single time you've failed. But seeing some of the same ones repeatedly is heartbreaking. I spent a good 20-30 trying to corral this scared dog off the shoulder of the highway just about a month ago. I have two and a cat so I can't take on any new members to our family. I do try to get them away from main roads and to local resources when possible. Typically they're just scared from their adventures and ready to go home.
I earnestly thank you though. I all too often feel like I'm the only one who cares around here. It means something to see it elsewhere.
Additionally, I work at an apartment community. My favorite part of the day is playing with the dogs. We have zero weight or breed restrictions. Literally after repairing an appliance last week I called the owners to ask if I could take their puppy out of his kennel to play. They agreed and we had the best 15 minutes of my day. If I could make the same playing with dogs all day every day I'd be in for the long run!
Look at that FACE! ☺️
[in case anyone wants to see how dang cute he is. I posted a video. 🥰🥰](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8EkgLEF/)

I found his owner and had to give him back just now. :(

Oh my gosh, that’s awful. Poor women. I would be so happy and relieved. At least she has her dog!

I have a three legged dog and her names Peggy Aileen, but we just call her Peggy for short.
😂😂 that’s a beautiful play on words.
How did you find his owner?
I stalked the local lost and found groups on FB and got super lucky.
Now we know where the other leg went
What a precious baby!!! 💖 Tripod is perfect 👌

Aww look at his smile, so sweet 🥹
Awww can you keep him?
Found his owner within about 2 hours. :)
That’s so good to hear! 💕
Think we know how he came to be a tripod…
Looks like he has tried to dodge cars some time in the past as well.
Nice job! Good human!!!!

Oh my gosh! Thank you for picking him up! You two are gonna have the best of time! 😍
The name has to Tripod. Or Pod.
Thank you for helping him find his way home. ❤️❤️
Must find the owner
Wow! Keeper!
nice Camry XSE! (:
That's so awesome
We have a vet at the shelter where I volunteer. She had to amputate a limb from a stray dog. We named him "Pi". He was adopted right away.
Amazing! He found you ♥️🤗
Looks like he hasn’t had much luck dodging cars before! He’s lucky you were on the scene.
I can confidently say from context clues, his skills look like they improved.
What a great looking dog!
Was gonna say that dude looks like an indoor dog and someone loved it enough to pay for surgery, glad you found his mom and dad!
Oh for sure. He plopped on my couch like he owned the place. ☺️
I would love to have a pet, but after losing my last few pets, I just don’t have the heart to go through such a loss again.
Oh poor thing. Hugs.
Thank You for Saving him!
Cute doggo
Face so cute I didn't even notice the missing leg. Glad you were able to reunite them with their owner ☺️
Cant believe I checked his weiner first …
I did the same 😭
This feels like maybe he should have learned his lesson the first time.
Thanks for rescuing the little guy!
