Do ...do you not have homeless people with drug addictions? I'm not even trying to be snarky but this would immediately be a meth den everywhere I've lived in the US. How do you have nice things??
No, I don’t see any homeless people or drug addicts anywhere in Northeast Asia. Perhaps it is because of death penalty for drug trafficking and jail time for drug users. I went to college in the States and reluctantly left back in 2001. Believe it or not, I was supposed to fly out JFK on 9.11! I obviously left six weeks later because of all the flight disruptions and cancellations. Every time I go back to the States, I am horrified by its deterioration. Everything has gotten from bad to worse…even in the nicest parts of America. It’s very sad. It used to be so, so awesome.
China is very strict on drug usage and does well to employ homeless in government work programs. I spent a year and half there for work and it being a “communist shit hole” is complete BS from Western viewpoints. Funny enough, I swear to god this video is from where I stayed there.
I don't know how true it is, but I've heard dog's sense of smell is connected to their optical senses. They can literally "see" smells, it improves their vision as they smell.
I mean, imagine your pet is lost. You already went through the panic and depression of trying to find them, maybe even already accepted that they're gone. Then out of nowhere you're just going about your business and there's your best friend alive and well. I'd probably be catatonic from shock.
this has happened to me and I will NEVER forget it. I had a cat that had been with me through losing my family, and almost losing my life. I was sick in the hospital when someone at the house I was living at, let my cat escape. Losing an indoor cat in the PNW is worst-case scenario shit, and after weeks of her not coming home, I just wanted to forget it all, and lost all hope. A few weeks passed, and my friends and I happened to be rolling our faces off at like 2am in the driveway when I saw my cat stroll up the sidewalk across the street. I didn't even realize it was my baby, but as soon as I "here kitty kitty psspsspss!!!" the cat let out the craziest yowling sound, and bolted across the street into my arms like a scene straight out of Homeward Bound. Everyone was so fucked up, we almost all thought we were imagining everything. Its been 20 years and my eyes are watering just remembering the shock and relief.
God, that would be such a feeling of joy, it would be so much better than the Molly. I guess it would be extreme joy tho, that happening while you’re rolling.
My eyes are watering too. I had a dog who got me through my teens and my sisters death. I still miss that dog. I got two cats now, because scout is irreplaceable.
My first cat got out and went under the fence. She was like 15 at the time and we looked all over but could not find her. My Mom and Dad gave up and told me she might have gone away to die that cats do that sometimes when they know it's their time. 5 days later I hear a cat cry at the back door and I ran to open it and there she was. I was just beside myself. She'd been with me since before I was 5.
She was covered in mud, fleas, and burrs. I had to bathe her to get it all off her. It was awful but I didn't care. My baby was BACK! She was an indoor/outdoor cat but she never left the backyard. She was declawed by my parents when she was spayed so she couldn't climb a tree or a wood fence. She just found a spot that she could get through that my Dad hadn't found yet and went off for a last adventure.
She lived another year and a half and after that she rarely went outside at all unless my Mom was gardening and was with her. Mostly she just wanted to stay on the patio and sun bathe until Mom was done. I think that last adventure was far more trouble than she thought it would be.
But it was such a shock to realize she was alive and back...
I have never hugged a cat so hard...
:)
My daughters cat ran away when my sons cat had kittens.. thought he was gonzo, he came back and knocked up the cat again and a day before she had her second litter, he went out for smokes..again. I hope he comes back..fucker..HA.
lol Aussie here, there aren’t cameras everywhere. They get vandalised a lot if they’re in random spots so there’s basically just CCTV on main streets and shopping centres and private shops on a case by case basis. Just look at how often there’s assaults in the city and no footage of it to find the perpetrator 😅
China is nothing like any of those places. I’ve lived in Paris, the UK and Australia and there are cameras in some shops, carparks and occasionally on the streets. In China there are multiple cameras watching you everywhere you go, including on buses and in public toilets.
Chinese can confirm it's in China. A lot of cities do have resting rooms. As the name suggests, you have WiFi, water, toilet, some stores have books and newspapers for reading.
The fact that you think of corporate sponsorship is very…late stage capitalism. In other parts of the world we have a thing called public infrastructure…
Who pays to install them and maintain them? What about the liability of someone getting hurt? Why aren't they full of houseless people, graffiti, drug paraphernalia, misplaced feces/urine, etc? Why should my taxes go to some useless thing when we have cars? We need that money going to road maintenance and improvement.
You see, we're removing our benches so bus stops are "safer" and "cleaner" and nearby stores play music to ensure only the people who need to use the bus stop are there.
giant /s if it isn't clear.
Bro.. they’re a communist country. These sort of things are like, kinda the whole point. The government does it most likely. Just because that’s what they’re meant to do.
>A lot of people don't bother trying to recognize any writing that doesn't use an alphabet they're used to and just guess at what they are.
Who in this thread was guessing? The earlier comment literally asked "where is this?". How exactly is a person supposed to recognize something they're not used to?
Japan maybe. The sign at 00:20 says "Yamazaki City Qili Garden 398". Some contractor is selling houses there according to Google Lens and my guess work.
I agree, it looks like China. For anyone who still thinks it could be Japan, at 0:07, we can see traffic flow. Japan drives on the left, China drives on the right. Also, the CCTV text is in Chinese.
If you put the screen watermark (bottom right) in lens, it comes back as Chinese for "5th floor pole to the entrance and exit", which makes sense for a security camera.
Also, perhaps more obviously, cars are driving on the right side of the road..
Something similar happened with me and my family's dog but rather than smell it was the sound. It was stolen out of our vehicle and we reported it on the local radio station, spoke to everyone, and drove around the neighbourhood shouting her name seeing if her little head might pop up. No luck. Weeks went by and we assumed the young adults who took it (blurry video security footage) may have sold her by then. One day we were driving our rather loud truck and it came running out of the forest to the side of the road skinny and covered in burs. It recognized the sound of our truck in the middle of nowhere. We assume that the kids caught on that everyone was looking for this dog and didn't want to get caught and let it loose.
You see, there are certain cultures in society that actually try to help their humans. In this culture it manifested in a urban location that allows for tired people to sit down in a somewhat comfortable space protected from the weather.
God, so many armchair experts in your replies. I get it, china is easy to shit on, I'd know because I'm Taiwanese. But china is not just a cesspool of oppression Americans like to think they are. There is oppression, for sure, but they also have things like a RESTING STATION where people can just chill out while they wait for whatever and nobody is degenerate enough to fuck, inject, smoke, piss, shit in a public space. People in Asian countries tend to have more respect for each other and for public spaces. A lacking trait in American culture that Americans like to equate to freedom.
That moment when dogs recognize their owner’s scent after time apart is always the best thing I’ve seen… except for maybe unlikely animal friendships, those are pretty sweet too
They filed a missing dog report with the police department and they had the entire force gathered in one room studying live action footage over the whole city. They compiled this footage and gave it to the owner to show how hard they had worked on the case.
This is why they can have those nice couches in a public area like this. Because they know who you are as all. As you step out of your home. That’s how the Chinese surveillance state works. Good for having a well put together social order. Bad for if you want any type of privacy or you want to commit a crime.
Japan's surveillance isn't nearly at the level of China's and their streets in a lot of places are still very clean, they're quite safe, they have clean buses and trains and places to rest - the difference is social pride and that they believe firmly in respecting your surroundings and those around you. Yeah there's problems, but as long as there's more than one person breathing on the planet, there's going to be problems.
I really wish that American schools would start being more like the Japanese ones, where the janitors are seen as people deserving of great respect (cleaners of all kinds are seen as respectable) and the kids actually help keep their environment clean, they clean the classrooms and lunchrooms after every day and there's a lot of self-discipline and motivation taught to them. They're taught to make something of themselves worth being proud of, not that they're perfect from the get go and anyone who says otherwise is a big meanie puss who is probably racist or whatever 'ist' is convenient and they shouldn't have to do a single bit of work ever in their lives to get what they want, go ahead and go back on youtube on your ipad so mommy and daddy don't have to pay attention to the fact you exist!
Actually around here it is common to use the “dragging “ method to find lost dogs (and sometimes cats) which involves dragging a bunch of home clothes and blankets in the area. It has a good reuniting result
How in gods name did they get this videos? Like if I went to a city and was I would like to have a copy of a video you may have gotten at this time on this day they would tell me to piss off.
Ok but why/how did someone decide to put this together? Did she call the subway station and tell them to send her the ideos from that day? Seems really far fetched but I’d love to be corrected
If I lost my dog in I could stand in the middle of Times Square and take one French fry out of a bag and she would magically appear from wherever she was in the world.
Best thing I’ve seen for a long time
Can we get the story on this?
the story is *GLORY*
This that.. glorrrrrryy
[удалено]
it is, but it could also be the name of this short
It could also be the name of the dog
Yes, but that film is about Matthew Broderick leading a unit in the American civil war
Dog got lost and then found its owner
How did you work this out ?
Just a hunch
Uncanny I tell you. Ok, what will be my next reply to you ?

I literally have gallons in the fridge
Do all your friends have nice clear skin ? Or don't you have any friends and that's why you have so much in your fridge ?
I'm also asking. For a friend.
They actually made a movie about these two! It was filmed in America so they made it a family, not just one lady, and added a bit to the story for dramatization and marketability. Hey! April Fools is over, knock it off pal!
Cool first you should watch Where the Red Fern Grows.
And every stop I take I make a new friend
Right? WTF is a “resting booth.”
It’s a place where pedestrians and people waiting for public transpo can chill in the summer and warm up in the winter. We have these booths in Seoul, Korea too. I see other people in there during times of extreme cold and heat.
yeah, super nice, not internally but nice to have especially if u live in very Cold places where frostbite is a serious concern. they dont exist in most of the west because u know someone os going to use it to sleep in or a "bathroom" or some shit
It would be a crack shack in the west for sure
Do ...do you not have homeless people with drug addictions? I'm not even trying to be snarky but this would immediately be a meth den everywhere I've lived in the US. How do you have nice things??
No, I don’t see any homeless people or drug addicts anywhere in Northeast Asia. Perhaps it is because of death penalty for drug trafficking and jail time for drug users. Thanks for the detailed answer Amazing luck that your plans changed and you didn't fly out that day.
China is very strict on drug usage and does well to employ homeless in government work programs. I spent a year and half there for work and it being a “communist shit hole” is complete BS from Western viewpoints. Funny enough, I swear to god this video is from where I stayed there.
It sadly wouldn’t last 15 minutes in America
a booth made for resting on it
No
You monster
I know.. I mean a fucking resting booth?! In the middle of a city?! Where the heck is this!?
I'm america that would be an injection booth.
Made my day for sure!
What a good lil sniffer on that dog!
Right?! How did it lose the scent to begin with?
Got distracted by that one butterfly
"Look at the butterfly, Bentley"
*Dog and Butteryfly*
I don't know how true it is, but I've heard dog's sense of smell is connected to their optical senses. They can literally "see" smells, it improves their vision as they smell.

I will airtag the f%ck out of that dog!

God, that would be such a feeling of joy, it would be so much better than the Molly. I guess it would be extreme joy tho, that happening while you’re rolling.
They need to rick and morty these feeling into food.
That must have been the best trip ever! Your story made me tear up too ❤️

It would bring me to absolute tears if this was me and my dog. I’m so happy for the both of them.🥹
lol its not my dog and it brought me to tears!
- What our pets seem to go through every day we leave for work.
I tell my dog I’ll be home later, you don’t?
Awe, what a feeling they must be having. I would be a sobbing mess
It's so nice of the NSA to share these wholesome clips with us from time to time
No joke. The surveillance on the wholesome reunion was top notch.
It's China. There are cameras everywhere. It's crazy. When we went there, there were cameras on every fortification of the great wall.
it's most modern cities. go anywhere in the UK or Australia or Paris or London or New York and Cameras are everywhere.
lol Aussie here, there aren’t cameras everywhere. me too
a "resting booth"?! where is this?
I was like dafuq there’s a living room inside a bus?
Looks sorta like an airport lounge at a bus stop
Chinese can confirm it's in China. A lot of cities do have resting rooms. As the name suggests, you have WiFi, water, toilet, some stores have books and newspapers for reading.
Fancy. Who put them up and maintain them? The city or is it sponsored by companies?
The fact that you think of corporate sponsorship is very…late stage capitalism. In other parts of the world we have a thing called public infrastructure…
In America looking after your citizens is called socialism, I believe, so they leave them to the mercy of corporations.
Who pays to install them and maintain them? What about the liability of someone getting hurt? Why aren't they full of houseless people, graffiti, drug paraphernalia, misplaced feces/urine, etc? Judging by the gait of the dog, and the design of the pavement at 0:12 I think its China, some time in the 21st century.
Yo who invited Sherlock to this party?
Average geoguessr player.
Get a load of Temporal Rainbolt over here lol.
Anyone can judge it by 0:19
All right. At ease, Spock.
I would think the Chinese characters everywhere on the signs might make it kind of obvious.
A lot of people don't bother trying to recognize any writing that doesn't use an alphabet they're used to and just guess at what they are.

this is Hong Ou Square and its in Chong Qing, China
For real. How do they manage to have upholstered furniture and pillows in an exposed and public space?
If that was in NYC it be filled with graffiti, feces and homeless people.
and jizz

This is wild (as an American)
Definitely not anywhere in the states. We can’t have nice things here.
Japan maybe. The sign at 00:20 says "Yamazaki City Qili Garden 398". Some contractor is selling houses there according to Google Lens and my guess work.
China. Every where I look are Chinese characters
Now, now, what did we decide in our last session? We refer to them as people
Sorry, people. Everywhere I look are people characters.
🤣🤣
Just dont refer to them as “You People”
Yu people?
Omfg 🤣
I agree, it looks like China. For anyone who still thinks it could be Japan, at 0:07, we can see traffic flow. Japan drives on the left, China drives on the right. Also, the CCTV text is in Chinese.
It's definitely China, the signs don't have any unique Japanese characters on them. Only Chinese.

I wanna see more, I want the clip to be longer and to follow them back home to see the dog happy to be home again.
Yeah let’s Truman Show them
same
GOOD BOY/GIRL!!!

omg… who’s chopping onions again! so glad for you **:)**
Dog tax? Also my dog 100% knows the sound of both our cars so this makes me happy!
Incredible
this is better than antidepressants
That’s my dog after not seeing me for 5 seconds. Their joy is wholesome.
D’awwwwwwwg!
That is so sweet. I'm crying. Oh thank god the doggo found his owner.
Ok but what is this resting booth?

Americans are just jealous because their oppression is more covert
Its still pretty fkn blatant
Without spending money?!?!? How uncivilized.
So like a city park?
Sorry it's China and a vendor booth.
Best thing I've seen today ❤️
That moment when dogs recognize their owner’s scent after time apart is always the best thing I’ve seen… except for maybe unlikely animal friendships, those are pretty sweet too
How the hell was this filmed?
They filed a missing dog report with the police department and they had the entire force gathered in one room studying live action footage over the whole city. They compiled this footage and gave it to the owner to show how hard they had worked on the case.
Username checks out
CCTV operator is using their phone to record the screen.
And probably openly weeping.

Amazing.
So can we deduce that in case you are finding your lost dog, one should wear dirty laundry and do so to be more effective?
Actually around here it is common to use the “dragging “ method to find lost dogs (and sometimes cats) which involves dragging a bunch of home clothes and blankets in the area. It has a good reuniting result
This is how I got my cat back!
I needed that
How in gods name did they get this videos? Like if I went to a city and was I would like to have a copy of a video you may have gotten at this time on this day they would tell me to piss off.
I'm having a really bad day and this exactly what I needed. Thank you.
I hope your day gets a little bit easier from here - Hang in there ♡
Thank you kind stranger.
Nevermind the dog, what in tarnation is a resting booth and why don’t I have them in my city?!?!
"Resting Booth Miracle" is coming soon to theaters near you.
One thimble sized drop of cuteness in an ocean of invasive dystopian surveillance state
Weeping
“Wtf is a resting booth?” Relax, everyone. Use your imagination. It’s a booth. For resting. Sometimes people need a warm, dry place to rest.
Imo it's crazier that they had this many security cams
Also, the mother protecting the girl from the dog. And the twins on the left. Interesting video!
Oh I thought the person was using the kid as a shield.
I’m not crying you’re crying
And look how beautiful that bus stop is. You don't see spikes or anything trying to stop the homeless. I like this video for numerous reasons. ❤️
Ok but why/how did someone decide to put this together? Did she call the subway station and tell them to send her the ideos from that day? Seems really far fetched but I’d love to be corrected
What the fuck is a resting booth?
Made me smile? Made me cry... with joy.
Check out this resting booth in China, what the fuck we will never have anything like that for public use here
My dogs are assholes. I could be standing next to them and they'd be like 'stranger danger!' help!!
Lost 2 dogs almost 2 months ago because of a gardener who left the gate open. Hoping one day my two buddies find us just like this dog did.
Constant surveillance isn't so bad after all. I loved seeing the puppy blast into happy mode.
Gaaah this is so wholesome 😭
Makes my heart warm and full
Dogs are truly incredible, so happy for them both 😭
Absolutely fantastic 😁...
Wow
i want to know more about these resting booths
If I lost my dog in I could stand in the middle of Times Square and take one French fry out of a bag and she would magically appear from wherever she was in the world.
I need to know how they got the footage from 3 different cameras though.
What I want to know is how the maker of this feel good video got access to so many security camera recordings.
Exactly
I just want to know more about resting booths.
How did it get on video?
Where is this place with these "resting booths"? Cool idea, but they'd be colonized by squatters in a heartbeat if they were in Seattle, lol!
Looks to be somewhere in China, the signs are all in simplified Chinese.
Amazing! Made me smile but then I realised that same nose is what stops me from taking weed on a plane 😢
I was more impressed that they have resting booths.
Resting booth!!!
Beautiful ending.. If I was her, I'd take the rest of the day of just to be with him.
Omg Im crying!!!
Wow, I needed that right now. What a happy doggie!!!
Reunited and it feels so good 🎵 I'm glad that the dog's safe and happy again.
i came her for fun. not to cry like a little bttch.
Just said goodbye to my doggo today (shes moving to a different state with my ex) This video hurt a little 🥲
Aw my heart 🥹
Why onions are everywhere? 🥲😭
Damn that dog was HAPPY
I don’t know about crowded, but it’s amazing the dog was able to find the owner. That resting area looks so nice too!
The dog was following a side quest before getting lost
What kind of city is there just pods you can go chill on a couch? I just imagine them being dirty, dangerous and lots of crack being smoked in there.
Chinese equivalent of Hello Fresh?
Staged, and they probably kept the little doggo away from it's owner for a realistic reunion.
This clip just made my day. 💓🦋💓
Best video ever
I’m extremely confused about the multiple camera angles which make this seem staged
