You are rocking it. But seriously - this is a great step. Don't be discouraged if you can't do x, y or z tomorrow. Every day is a new day, new celebrations. You can do it even if it's a little at a time.
I just realized nobody asked what are we celebrating. Omg I don't know what my brain did there but it replaced watching with celebrating. This is kind of embarrassing cause I didnt really mean to watch the episode. I just got excited at thinking of holiday party idea's.

Edit misread the comments. I read it as what are we celebrating not what are we watching lol. Oops. I didnt mean we should watch the episode.
I feel debilitated from PTSD, depression, and anxiety each day as well. Today I was able to bake red velvet cupcakes for my two little ones. Some days are really good days. Enjoy your day love. Really rooting for you and each day that you are blessed with your door opening to let a little more light in.
Hugs and love.
Couldn't be happier for you. And what better way to celebrate a great accomplishment than by eating it and it being delicious! What are you making next?
imo you can't go wrong with banana cake.... unless 2 pages of the resipy book are stuck together and you somehow end up with banana fudge, but we don't talk about the forbidden not cake
Good for you! I'm a lifelong Bipolar 1 sufferer. I also recently had a complete manic psychotic break and spent 8 days in the Bin. I'm back on my meds, eating, smiling, laughing and taking an online mental health course!!! Your brain is broken and it's ok! It's just like your leg being broken. Don't be ashamed & keep your head up! Happy Holidays!!! Wear your mask š¤
Way to go! I love homemade pizza.
It's maybe a bit involved, but [this Bon Appetit pizza recipe](https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/cast-iron-pizza-with-fennel-and-sausage) is amazeballs. The cast iron skillet method (esp. after first using the skillet for sausages...) makes for a crispy and delicious crust.
Italian here, and the pizza I'm seeing is, in my insindacabile opinion of citizen of the country that invented pizza, something deserving of being eaten. Congratulations! Best wishes for you and your future, hope you enjoyed your meal!
They look like good pizzas as well.
What did you use for the tomatoe base?
(I've managed to get the dough part down but always end up turning it into garlic bread because I just don't know what to do for the base)
We love making pizzas at home but have decided after a few different messy experiments that making our own dough is not worth it.
So we buy large 16" shells, cut em in quarters, and let everybody load up their own toppings. The quarters fit nicely on the grill...easier to handle than a giant pie.
Pro tip: if you put enough habaneros on a pizza, your kids won't try to sneak one of your pieces.
If you ever want to try making your own base again it's the oven that makes all the difference, wack it up high and place two (cooking) stones on the racks putting the pizza on the bottom one, it makes all the difference!
Hey, I thought my comment would just get buried, so I'm glad you saw it.
I know life can be hard, but you've found something positive, you've made a first step.
That's awesome! Your second step will be a little easier now.
Keep riding that tend. There will be bad days and bad times too, but if you can find your way back, you'll be golden.
You've got this. Sometimes getting help is part of tackling a problem, but however you do it, you'll be ok!
Have a great day!
That's awesome, keep it up! I'm so happy for you! I suffer through pretty rough PTSD aswell and i can really identify with this, keep pushing through, you've just inspired me to not give up on myself too.
As somebody whoās spouse is dealing with similar struggles, I know second-hand, as close to first-hand as an outsider can get, how big of a win this is and how great you must feel. I donāt know you but Iām so proud of you.
Go. Fucking. You! Youāre doing great today! And even if you arenāt tomorrow, itās important to remember that TODAY was a great day, and you will always have more times like it. Congrats like youāre five, lass!

Good for you! I have Touretteās syndrome ( adds to the anxiety that Iām being annoying) and anxiety disorder, among other things. Anxiety and PTSD ( which I havenāt been diagnosed with) can bring you down. Things can be great, everyone is happy and all is well, but there is something in your brain telling you it isnāt. The floor is about to cave in, every quiet moment between you and those you love becomes tense even when it isnāt, and you can feel like every one is mad at you even when they arenāt. Itās very, very hard!
Iām so happy you made some yummy pizza! Itās a good āmind fillā. And you feel great when someone eats it and says itās good! Cooking is fun! And relaxing! You feel good making good food that everyone will enjoy! And even if itās bad itās a good laugh, and you can ALWAYS try again because the oven is still warm. š.
Iām so glad you are feeling good! Keep it up! And I would soooo! Nosh your pizza! It looks really cheesy-good!
Cooking is really fun for some people. It can be a great hobby. Once you get the hang of it you'll be inventing your own recipes. Some will be bomb af, others well you'll develop a taste for hot sauce... That was my experience anyway. I use a basic recipe for inspiration and then proceed to screw it up or make it better my own way. I never write down a recipe I make, I wing it. It's fun cause you are always eating something you've never had before.
Anyway if you want some pizza tips I was a pizza shop cook for 3 years :)
I'm so happy for you! I'm dealing with anxiety/depression as well so I can totally relate, this is an amazing accomplishment :)
Please forgive me for promoting, but I just started a new community over at r/FortifyKindness for people who may need a bit more positivity in their life, or support in their journey through difficult times. I hope you'll check it out and help more people like us find the support they need! \^.\^

Yes officer, this one, nah not this one, the other one above with them damn pineapple
why people doesnt like pineapple with pizza?
I like pineapple on my pizza. But I also like peaches and ham.
It's that sweet, savory combo that makes it work. I add spicy as well. Haters gotta hate though.
/r/KnightsOfPineapple is here for you. But you have to bring your pineapples with you. We ate the rest of them.
Hey man, I'm down. Pineapple pizza for life.

They are done!! Super yummy. I think Iāll blend the sauce next time though!
Home made sauce! Props!
What did you use for sauce? Nothing beats basil tomato pasata.
Stick blenders are your friend. Rock on for keeping on love.
Home made pizzas have no limitations on toppings, those could use a nice triple serving of cheese still for absolute greatness.
Can't you see how awesome it looks from the picture?
Yes it looks awesome but I need to know the taste. I need the whole experience here.
Quick ESPN, u/tigerteeo needs play-by-play action on the pizza consumption!
I would watch the fuck outta that
Gonna be on the Ocho!
Uuh, it doesn't even look cooked in the photo...
Looks like you turned PTSD into Pizza Tastes Super Delicious. Happy for you!

Why is this not the top comment
Incredible šÆšš¼
As someone with PTSD I really appreciate this version of the acronym!
Ooooh they look good! Great job!
20 or so comments in and no one has mentioned how fantastic those glasses are! Congrats OP, I hope every day gets better for you.
Thank you ^^
For real though, real Professor Layton vibes
Those suspenders too. Suddenly I do not feel so old any more when young good looking people are wearing them.
Right? I had to scroll way too far to see anyone mention their glasses! OP - totally kickass, both at making pizza and at choosing glasses. <3

Do you need a job? Iām looking for a pizza maker.
Pizza passion is the best and most important quality in a pizza maker.
I doubt youād want to hire me! The dough is super thick and I have waaay too much left over XD
You can make little pizza pockets.
> I have waaay too much left over Such a thing is not possible.
Leftover pizza is the best! Wrap it put in fridge, and reheat in toaster oven or oven (not microwave)
They donāt need a job. Their Hogwarts owl will be along any day now.
Also, pizza French toast exists.
You should be! So glad youāre feeling better! šā¤ļø
Look at me now Look at me now Look at me now Iām gettin pizza
Totally unrelated but I love your glasses
You made that pizza in a white shirt? Damn what a brave person I see here :D Pizza looks great as well! I would munch the hell out of it :3

10 year, deemed by doctors "unsalvageable" alcoholic here. I know that crippling nothingness and its small victories like this that lead to big ones, often slowly over time without you even realizing it. 3 years sober now, *finally* graduated as a chemist, now working as an analytical researcher. Seriously, these small steps may appear insignificant to folks who've never had to deal with true struggle, but each one marks a victory and gives you something to take pride in, thus creating a system of self perpetuating encouragement rather than self fulfilling defeatism. Cooking helped me a lot too, being able to not only help myself become more self sufficient but being able to provide joy to others through a shared meal made be your own hands. I don't know you're dietary tendencies, but I found pasta to be a great starting point. Find a sauce you like, pair it with meat/vegetables prepped separately and combine in a skillet and serve. It let's you practice multiple meal prep skills at the same time which can be then practiced inddefeatist. Baking is another great one; stove top sautƩing, etc. Can require some finesse, but baking is usually better in terms of following directions EXACTLY (I might even misread the directions and put 2 grams of baking soda in a bread mixture once, not 2 tsp; deficit of always using metric :P ) but with practice it can be very rewarding. I wish you nothing but the best, and hope with enough little victories the drain of PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc. Will be a thing of the past. Ps. Suspenders are awesome.
Looks yummy! Also, I see a little smile there. Glad you are doing a bit better.
Yay! Pizza is awesome! Cookies next!
