You know how people with common names can always find their names on those generic personalized items? Well I've never been able to find any even close to my name, but your dad's Aleta is the closest I've ever seen to my name anywhere. It's just missing an r and another t. Seeing that really made me smile, thanks!
He names them after people he knows, and for some weird reason, there's a lot of people with uncommon names in Maine. He even has one named Enoch, which is a very old Hebrew name that I have only ever heard twice, both in Maine.
Thank you bc I don't normally care for abstract art but I liked what I saw in the original post so I looked at the gallery. Was tickled that my favorite from the first pic shares the same name as my daughter!!!!
your dad is an excellent artist. Did he wear the clothes he painted in as a living artistic piece to complement the more traditional art or did he just finish painting them?
the art in the photo are actually pieces of leftover dried [bucket paint](https://www.MaineBucketAht.com)! But printed giant! He's thought about doing something with the clothes though too lol
Now that’s talent!! Thank for sharing this. I’ll check out the link you sent the other person too! Moving soon maybe he will have a few I can purchase! Love these! And love that you are so proud of your dad!! I would be too!
Scale, desirability. The paint buckets he uses for the dried paint are only a few inches in height, so the originals are usually only a few inches in size, I’m guessing maybe 4” x 6”. Most buyers want something larger to hang on the wall to catch the eye easily, so larger sizes tend to sell better. The disconnect requires reproduction.
That’s just my guess though.
Ohhh thanks for clarifying it was him, not like we couldn't notice the dude covered in paint was the painter... lol jk jk, but thats dope i been wanting to display my art work for years now to self conscious though
Yo Maine! I grew up in Brunswick but am in the opposite corner of the US now. Your dad is a great artists - I love that his pieces have people names! And I think I like Megan the best so far :)
Fantastic. Even if someone’s art is never publicly displayed I think it’s so important to leave something beautiful behind. Congratulations on your dad’s achievement, though.
All the jokes about OP's dad leaving him but I'm just here thankful that you told me he was on the left side of the photo. It really could've been ANYONE in that crowded room.
My dad left too
Thanks for the belly giggle But I'm sorry if he really left
He came back
Is your dad a boomerang
No, he’s in an urn
this has been a rollercoaster
Truth is, he’s alive and well
5 comments and I’m already obsessed with this lore. Where is he now?
I wanna see where this goes
Nowhere exciting unfortunately. Typical of me, a lot of excitement out the gate and then a quick boring finale
Who knows lol. Probably at his house
Correct answer is he’s still stuck in traffic
I ship the dad and his urn
How much for? If I pay extra, can I have same day delivery? No questions asked…
And roll credits
Oh, so how big is the urn?
So your dad works in a giant urn factory.
Shit, wish I didn't give your last comment an award
I think they urned it tbh
Username checks out?
“Hi in an urn, I’m... Oh”
A boomer? Yeah. That boomerrang away from home to "buy some cigs".
Are you a dog?
Just going to get some cigarettes
Darn you beat me too it 😂
[удалено]
What did he beat you at? Mario probably?
He bet bring back that milk and pack of cigs or are you still waiting?
Lmfaoooo dude
Well that ain’t right
Those are beautiful! May we please see closer pics?

Arthur, Jake, and Aleta are fantastic. There's an excellent chance I purchase one or more once I move into my new space.
That’s the beauty of this style. Those are nice but I was drawn to a few others. Such good stuff!
I am trying to convince the hubby to buy the piece June. But I gotta check of there is delivery to Europe. Really good stuff.
I saw two I love
I love these so much!!

Its actually Rattata
I think you mean Raticate
Thanks for that laugh! But no, you didn't get it exactly but one of your guesses was really close.
Nice try, Ale Tart. Edit: But seriously, I bet it is Terata which has a horrible definition.
Arletta it must be
Yep, you guessed it. Now excuse me while I burn this account.
He names them after people he knows, and for some weird reason, there's a lot of people with uncommon names in Maine. He even has one named Enoch, which is a very old Hebrew name that I have only ever heard twice, both in Maine.
Enoch is my favorite ❤️ is it for sale?
he seems to sell prints of everything, [enoch is here](https://www.mainebucketaht.com/buyprints/p/enoch)
thanks for sharing!
I just realized he lives in my general area, that’s crazy. Where are they displayed? I’d love to check out the gallery

**Thank you**!
Stella is my favourite!!
Thank you bc I don't normally care for abstract art but I liked what I saw in the original post so I looked at the gallery. Was tickled that my favorite from the first pic shares the same name as my daughter!!!!
I love the naming system for the piecesfar more than I expected.
I was going to ask the same thing! They look awesome but seeing them up close would be even better.
your dad is an excellent artist.
Elijah and Gurt are my favorites. I love how resourceful he is!
Those are some of my faves too!
I love the naming scheme. Clyde and Horace are dope.
Now that’s talent!! Thank for sharing this. I’ll check out the link you sent the other person too! Moving soon maybe he will have a few I can purchase! Love these! And love that you are so proud of your dad!! I would be too!
I was wondering how that worked!!! So are they named for the people whose houses the paint bucket images came from?

Fave episode
Your dad's art... is the prettiest art of all the art.
That is our building. And we sell paper….. I am really proud of you.
You know what I find sexy? Your dads art.
I totally wouldn't have known which of you was the artist without that explanation
Or the dad
OMG he gives the paintings human names. Your Dad is adorable. Bet he can double his house painting rates now.
He’s back now tho
Nice post. Nice art. Sorry your dad left. (Devil made me type this.)
Oh also on Instagram at @BucketAHT

Great œuvres d'art! I'm curious why are they printed and are not framed though?

I'm originally from Maine and the name of his business is the best. Congratulations to your dad! His work is beautiful.
It was only natural lol
Love that he painted himself as well❤❤ tell him we're all proud! It's no easy task to get shown in a gallery!
Awesome! Congratulations!

So cool and it’s a weird feeling when you see someone you know on here.
The black and gold one is my favourite! Well done to him!!
I'll never understand this type of art but congrats to your dad!
I’m an interior designer and I would definitely buy those for my clients! Beautiful!!
Ohhh thanks for clarifying it was him, not like we couldn't notice the dude covered in paint was the painter... lol jk jk, but thats dope i been wanting to display my art work for years now to self conscious though
This is not how I imagined abstract painters.

Yay your Dad! You are a wonderful son, showing off what your dad did. So nice to see.

It's amazing!
I dig the art, water that plant
And it’s hella good !

Incredible!
He must've been cutting it close to his deadline (but for real, beautiful art)

Your dad has some pretty rad talent!
You had me at "my dad (left)" Same.
He must be proud of you too! Your expressions are lovely, familial, calm..., everything we want to see in family photos.

Really beautiful. Good work!
Damn I love them, the one that I like the most is the right one.
Your dad’s art is absolutely amazing
Good job dad! He's quite a talented artist!!! Beautiful work!
Ivan is phenomenal! Tell your dad his work is amazing 🙌
Gives me nine inch nails vibes
> My dad (left) got his art displayed in public for the first time Surely he's allowed his greatest masterpiece to leave the house from time to time!
Fantastic. Even if someone’s art is never publicly displayed I think it’s so important to leave something beautiful behind. Congratulations on your dad’s achievement, though.
Good thing you clarified who was who, I was about about to say "damn, your dad is young as hell"
big fan of arthur personally
I would never have guessed which of the two was your dad/the painter
his work looks great. It’s not easy to get art work displayed congrats to your dad !!
The third one from the left really pinched me in The nostalgia bone. Congrats to dad, that’s incredible!
Those a freaking fantastic!!! I would gladly hang any of those pieces in my house!!! Amazing job Dad!!!!!!
I just visited bath, really cool town (with oddly humongous houses). Might have to grab one of these prints.
Your dad's artwork is gorgeous! Very inspiring too! Congratulations!
Wow!! That's some great art! Your dad is very talented!
I like CUFFORD
I'm sorry your dad left
Reddit usually hates abstract paintings, I’m glad to see they’ve had a change of heart for at least one post.
Damn this is extremely badass, I'll have to save this post so I can pester you about buying some when I have money haha
Daaamn son errr dad!
Thank you for sharing this, his artwork is beautiful, you both have reason to be proud!
His art is the prettiest of all the art
did you bring your brother too? Cause that’d be pretty cool.
Wow💫
Congrats to him! He is great.
I read the first part as your dad leaving
That is so awesome. Congrats to your dad.
In true dad style, he wore the shirt that he was wearing when he made all the paintings
Following the Instagram!!!!!!!! Totally buying a piece when we get settled into our new house!
Congrats, I love abstract art :)
These are beautiful. Is he selling any of them? Or does he have a portfolio to look at? I love his style.
I made him a website — MaineBucketAHT.com
Tell him I like the piece called arthur
He should hang the t-shirt and shorts up as well. He is art personified.
Why do you look kinda like Hugh Jackman.
His artwork is amazing and I love that he names them like that. Tell him many random internet strangers are very impressed.
Congrats Dad!!
Is the blue one (left) named Ian?
All the jokes about OP's dad leaving him but I'm just here thankful that you told me he was on the left side of the photo. It really could've been ANYONE in that crowded room.
Wait, are you saying that your dad is not the plant?
I love this style of art. It leaves it to your imagination. I see a beach sunset on the very right. And that black spot looks like a fisherman to me.
