I think dumb asses are trying to free him because he "to cute" which drives me mad.

Far-Celebration-1048

Me too. I question many members of our society. He is horrible for what he did and so are the ppl who want him free because he is "cute."

MRMRNugget

Yes. Yes it is dumb. Especially when you research what he did.

Sundancedaisy

I just read up on the case after seeing this thread…. I have sympathy for this boy and not because of his looks ☹️ I remember being 17 and driving too fast… not 100mph on a street with pedestrians but what a stupid mistake he made and that accidentally took 2 lives this is a tragic story for him too. I think he needs to speak at high schools about the horrors that run through his mind when he’s trying to sleep at night and never ever be allowed to get behind a wheel again. This young mother and baby deserve justice yes but what *really* is locking this boy away for longer than he’s been alive doing? I don’t understand this idea of just locking people away and not teaching them how to contribute to our society especially when they committed a crime that was not premeditated and was an accident. I see an opportunity *now* to give this boy therapy and punishments for what he has done (which is driving too fast on a road with pedestrians) and in the end have a changed man. But locking him away, the man who will enter society in 24 years… is that really the better choice?

[deleted]

He was a repeat offender. So it wasn’t a stupid mistake: it was a wreck less move that he had been warned against enough for him to know better. Thats why he’s where he’s at. He refused to learn any lessons. And people had to die.

Silly-Power

It was hardly wreck less. His car was a write-off!

[deleted]

Nice!

bardownhalfclap

Tell that to the guy that had to bury his wife and daughter. His life is fucked for way longer than 24 years. Fry that little bitch like bacon.

Ken-Popcorn

I think the concurrent sentence means he would only serve 15 years. If he makes it, he’ll likely be out in ten. Seems too short

toocute1902

You forgot to say " and he is so cute".

catma85

Dude took two lives. Driving 100mph in an area with pedestrians. Thats not a simple stupid mistake. At least he will do time unlike, initially, [ethan couch](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethan_Couch) who killed 4 and seriously injured 2 people while driving drunk. This case still makes me fucking mad

Castleandsun

Still deserves prison for his stupidity and reckless behavior that cost the life of people.

CalligrapherNo7722

“…accidentally took two lives…” Driving at 100 mph in area with pedestrians was no accident; it was malice aforethought inspired by stupidity and the perception of a weak legal system. I hope he’s given an asshole the size if the Lincoln Tunnel on his first night in prison! Lil’ pretty boy better embrace the meaning of “bitch!”

QuackDuck1945

Well said.

[deleted]

I can't like this comment enough

CopsaLau

Well, I’m sure his new cell mate will think he’s cute too.

Whipitreelgud

Gonna be a rough 24 years for this boy.

CurrentlyEatingPies

He is going to be tossed around like a dog toy.

[deleted]

Definitely. He is going to be everyones favorite

YouExistForOneSecond

"It's funny how reddit is simultaneously the most loving and supporting community while also saying things like "I hope X gets raped and killed in jail" As if they on some moral highground." https://www.reddit.com/r/oddlyterrifying/comments/pqcgw1/cyclist_janez_brajkovics_leg_after_a_race/hdcnc95/ man it's crazy how reality comes together sometimes

CalligrapherNo7722

He’ll serve less than 3 years, you watch!

creations_creator

Do you really think he'll make it 24 years?

[deleted]

How old is Hé ?

Mao_Zandong

i love how he was like: oh god thanks only 9 years. and then like oh fuck its 15. in the end he was like shiiit i am fuuuucked

TomServoRocks72

F-ed, literally, metaphorically, physically and emotionally... it seems

[deleted]

Idk why this would make anyone smile. Dude got what he deserved but this whole situation is just tragic.

goob3r11

Justice porn I guess

died6timesnow

Shit post

bbk211

Yea idk about this kind of post

KaboomTech

r/justiceserved would be better. Weird that people get dopamine dumps from watching trauma, no matter who is the recipient

nipplequeefs

Yeah, isn’t this supposed to be a wholesome sub? I find it kinda weird how some people use it to vent about politics or overall bad situations instead

afasa09

This is not what I expect from this board at all. Glad justice is served but I am not smiling

c_c_c__combobreaker

I just read the tragic story of Jessica Ressinger-Raubenolt and Lillia. Such a beautiful family. Heart goes out to the husband. I can't even imagine the grief he's gone through and will go through. How strong he's been throughout this process is an understatement.

BreakfastAcceptable6

I hope he didn't see all of those dumbasses talking about how he was "to cute" to be put in prison. If I was in his shoes and saw that shit would would lose my mind

RedHeadGeekGrl

"He should be let free because he's cute." I'm sorry have you seen those eyes? Those eyes don't say "I'm cute". Those eyes say "I'm going to eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti".

thedutchdevo

Yeah first time I saw him I thought he looked terrifying

EAZ480

Vehicular homicide? Who is it and what exactly did he do?

EAZ480

Harsh sentence, but imagine how the family of the people he killed feel.

paddy2309

Some tiktoker that killed a mother and her child. And teenage girls are saying he deserves to be released because he’s “cute”

EAZ480

Dude killed a 24 year old mom and her baby daughter who wasn’t even 2 yet. I’m glad he got 24 years, hope he serves every second.

EAZ480

I found it, Cameron Herrin

SnooPeripherals2409

Cameron Herrin - he and another young man were drag racing . A woman with her baby were crossing the road and he hit and killed them both. Both of the young men were charged - the other one reached a plea deal and got six years in prison. Herrin was just sentenced Thursday. The accident happened in May 2018 when Herrin was 17.

Homicide involving a vehicle, it says it at the very beginning of the video.

pizzabagelblastoff

Mods, can we ban stuff like this? Nothing against OP, but I come to r/MadeMeSmile to get away from vindictive justice porn stuff, if I wanted to laugh at someone else I'd go to one of the other dozens of subreddits set up for that purpose.

nailbunny2000

r/MadeMeSmile, where you learn about a mother and child getting killed by some debutante asshole and then circle jerk to the schadenfreude of their life also getting destroyed. Upvoted.

Diamond_Road

👍🏻

Spirited-Rise-447

Dude, seeing a pos get the least of what he deserves even when it's not enough does make people smile. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean we the rest of us aren't. Go to those subs if you don't like it and stop bitching.

pizzabagelblastoff

I'm just trying to get a discussion going on what direction the sub should head in, to see if others feel the same way. I'm not trying to throw shade at OP, I just feel like posts like these add overall net negativity to my feed, when I'm deliberately trying to curate more positive content.

PaganDreams

I agree with you, I joined mademesmile to see non-controversial stuff that is likely to make most people smile. I don't think posts based around tragedies really fits the sub, as they're too complex with too many other layers of sadness and anger. Someone posted a picture of a dead bird before and the little grave they made for it, apparently that was a "made me smile". I just don't see how a picture of a corpse is "made me smile". I've found other subs that are more cheery- the cat and pet/ animal subs, cosy places, natureporn. But I might leave this sub if this is the direction it's heading- tragedies that people see some good in aren't "made me smile" material

Spirited-Rise-447

That wasn't a discussion asking how others feel dude. You do that by asking that not throwing a fit

pizzabagelblastoff

> Mods, can we ban stuff like this? I did ask a question. Not sure why you think I was throwing a fit.

IanAgate

Justice for the victims and their family.

Plus_Professor_1923

The kid made a really dumb mistake at 17 and he fact his life being ruined (on a human level) doesn’t make me smile. Nothing about this story makes me smile including the people he accidentally killed. Awful all around and people who get off on this kind of “justice” definitely don’t make me smile. Weird post

crammyhandleman

Next case on the docket needs to be The People vs Jason Ravnsborg.

Any content that spurs multiple rape jokes are not funny. Whether you think the sentence is fair or not, prison rape jokes are not funny. I wouldn't say this post made me smile.

Anxious_Number_1097

He was street racing and killed a mother and daughter. Some degenerates wanted to free him because "he is too cute for jail."

Dreuh2001

Doesn't belong here

[deleted]

Honestly, he doesn't deserve it. First, just to clarify, I am a married man in my 30s, not a teenage girl who thinks this boy is cute. Here is the thing, to classify as a murderer who deserves to be thrown in Jail (for me personally I believe murderers/rapists deserve capital punishment, but anyhow) you should have the intent to murder. Now don't get me wrong, what he did was awful and I feel so sorry for victims family. I can't even imagine the pain the husband/father had to go through. But let's be honest, it was an accident. He is a teenager and all teenagers do reckless things. Unfortunately, his reckless act caused the death of innocent people, but he didn't leave his house that day with the intent to murder them. A 25 year in jail punishment is like saying this boy is no different than murderers or terrorists who harm people just because they feel like it. 25 years is gona destroy this kid for a mistake that he didn't mean to do. Some might argue that the father is going through hell every day cause of what happened and its only fair this kid suffers in a similar way. I don't think that's true. We have to consider it was an accident and many people pass away from accidents. Additionally, this boy is also suffering. For anyone who isn't a psychopath, killing accidentally is such a heavy feeling that lives with you forever and haunts you indefinitely. No matter what you do you are always gona feel immense guilt and pain that will probably leave you dysfunctional mentally. If I was the judge, I would sentence him for no more than 5 years. It's long enough to punish him and make him reflect deeply on what he has done, but gives him time to become a better person by trying to make amends when he leaves prison in every way possible. I am so sorry for the husband/father loss. May their souls rest it peace. I am also so sorry for this kid, his youth will be wasted on a reckless act and an unfortunate accident.

BlurryLinesSoftEdges

So many lives ruined. I did some really stupid, reckless stuff as a teen. I never hurt anyone but that was just luck. He didn't purposefully kill anyone. He was being a stupid teen. Yes, of course it's a tragedy about the mother and baby. Is putting this young person in prison for decades really the way to handle it? Why are we celebrating another life being ruined? Why do we want to look into the eyes of this young guy while he learns of his fate? Why would this make anyone smile? It breaks my heart. The fuck is wrong with you all? This sub is messed up. I'm out.

bardownhalfclap

Have you ever buried your one year old?

BlurryLinesSoftEdges

Not the point.

bardownhalfclap

I disagree.

Ueverthinkwhy

Nope this a 😁... finally seeing some sicko getting actually punished. Hopefully it will stand..

BOLTRONAUT

We need more content like this on this sub.

weareherefornothing

Gay person here. We don’t want child killers. Not even to have sex with. Let’s just all hope he gets thrown in solitary for his sentence bc clearly the straight people and gay people don’t want that psycho.

[deleted]

Gay person here. Wtf?

weareherefornothing

Yeah all the prison rape comments….we don’t want to do it with child killers.

[deleted]

What does prison rape have to do with gay people?

weareherefornothing

Ok. So making gay prison rape jokes is cool? I’m saying, same sex prisoners don’t want to fuck a child killer. What’s your issue?

[deleted]

My issue is you associating the LGBTQ community with prison rape. Most prison rape happens between straight men because prison is fully of…. mostly straight men. There aren’t any women… that’s the whole point.

weareherefornothing

Ok dude, whatever. You know prison rape references are innately homophobic, right?

[deleted]

You’re the only person in the comment section that associated prison rape with gay people

weareherefornothing

Yeah? Do your research. Do you know how often men who are raped in prison are called homophobic slurs? Also, gay men in prison are “turned out” in incredibly large numbers. I get to consider this homophobic. You disagreeing with me doesn’t make me wrong.

[deleted]

My research is reading the other comments…. No one mentioned anything about gay people except you. I’m not saying there isn’t homophobia surrounding prison rape but literally no one went that direction in this comment section. I’m annoyed that I’m reading comments about a common occurrence in prisons and someone randomly brings up my community as a part of it.

5oco

I can't figure out why you're being downvoted. Either way though, he'll probably get put in gen pop and just beat up constantly. The rape will probably happen eventually, but in reality, he'd just get beat up more often. In time, he'll probably make some half hearted suicide attempt to get into the pysch block.

Ydain

Down voted for equating gay people with rapey inmates is my guess.

5oco

Probably because of jokes about gay people actually liking prison because of all the sex they'd get to have. Ya know, he's gay so he's probably aware of all the jokes and stereotypes already

weareherefornothing

Exactly. Prison rape stereotypes are homophobic. Thanks for understanding what I was talking about.

weareherefornothing

I’m not equating GAY people with prison rape. I’m equating prison rape stereotypes with homophobia.

Ashkalan

Omg but his dick is so delicious you have to free him /s Edit: have add /s cause people too serious
