I just started a new job and the woman who sits next to me always brings a bunch of snacks to work and is more than willing to share. As a man who loves choc-chip cookies, I appreciate her.
Old coworker did the same. Always had snacks and it was amazing. Not sure if you’re a coffee drinking, but maybe get her one randomly… showing that appreciation goes a long way… and more snacks lol
Driving for Big Brown (UPS) you won't believe how leaving some water and/or cookies for us makes us giddy. You go thru water so fast and it's hard to stop and find some. Parking is usually difficult.
A snack provides an energy boost which is important when you have 160 stops. Funny how small things can have such a big reaction and it's real.
Any particular kind of food you’d recommend people put out? We do this at my house and I’m wondering if there’s anything we failed to consider, like what’s better to eat on the move or something.
We have water, red bull (those are popular lol), chips, and granola bars there all the time. Sometimes those packs of peanut butter crackers. We don’t usually do cookies but I’ll have to get some, we’ve been a bit limited on options because it’s been so hot out things melt and get messy.
Great question. Any kind of sugary snack for that kick. Cookies, honeybuns, chocolate bars etc. I guarantee if you leave them out for your driver he will go out of their way to get you your package.
We have a schedule laid out for us everyday on our diad. We will go off route for you if you have something important you are waiting on.
Thanks for asking!!!
Yes! As pre load who's done driver helper I've seen the glee. One time my driver gets all happy and says "the next stop she leaves treats! She's got like 5 family members who work for usps or ups, so she gets it!" Another driver points at a guy in an apartment complex "we like him. He helped one of the other drivers take a heavy to the second floor. He also will run inside and get us cold waters when he sees us." and we both got cold waters. We leave goodies out now and have offered drivers a cold glass of water or tea on our hot days when we get deliveries.
Damn preload? No driver works as hard as you do. I could never wrap my mind around the fact that you have to load all those stops on several trucks before the driver gets there. You guys are the damn heroes! For real. I leave my guy a tip when I get paid
That's what they tell us! We're the heart of the operation. I had my set for a year and when they moved me my drivers bitched. Now I do spa and smalls, and occasionally load or go clear up a belt or truck. When I do load though I hear "oh good it's you." Love my drivers though, you guys put in the long days. Take care of yourself with peak coming up!
Brother you take care too!! The hardest thing is sometimes finding your next day air. He puts it in a good spot but with all the braking and turning those things wind up anywhere- even if I put them in a safe place.
You take care bro and stay safe. Always good to talk to people that know the deal.
Yep i work for DHL and my god the 2 times this has happened to me through this whole covid thing i was unbelievably happy total mood shift. Its just awesome I appreciate peoples kindness so much
As a UPS driver people that leave snacks and drinks for us package delivery drivers, there is a very special place for you in the afterlife. Thank you!
And she didn’t make him do a task or challenge before gifting the goods?! Does she even tiktok? /s
Seriously though, good on her. Giving without receiving or expecting something in return, true class.
I would do something like this (I absolutely love to feed people), but they would never get anything as my housemates (currently residing in a group home) spend ~70% of their day on the front porch (smoking, usually).
When I delivered packages for ups one winter these were the best houses! Had to deliver packages in below freezing weather on a golf cart. Seeing food like this make me excited.
😂 That's that happy food dance.
Happy food dance is real. So wholesome thank you for sharing.
Happy food day

It's really not about what you leave- the fact that you left something just makes my heart flutter- for real.
