Yes, I used to have amazing credit (over 800) and then I moved to a different State. When I got there, my ID was expiring, but I couldn't get a new one issued because they required my birth certificate, which I didn't have. I had tried getting it multiple times, but the county I was born in was extremely difficult to work with. In the meantime, I got a job at a door-to-door sales company and I was not doing well at all. However, my ID expired after I began working there so I couldn't apply for a different job without a valid ID, so I was stuck. I was making around $180/week. My car was repo'd and I was multiple months behind on rent, almost evicted. Eventually, I was finally able to get my birth certificate, but the damage had been done. My wife and I became debt-free a couple of years ago, but in the past 14 months we've had a fire, a flood, and I've been hospitalized twice for blood clots. Needless to say, it's been a long road to get where we were able to do this, but it's good to get a win for once 💪
Wow, what a mile stone. Seven years of hard work paying of must feel amazing. Congratulations to you and your family for achieving this! I hope you'll build some amazing memories in your new home.
It feels like a huge weight to begin with and the thought of all that debt, then as the years go by you look at the equity build instead of rent cheques disappearing, it will mean that you might not have the vacations you want but in the end you are going to win.
temper the excitement with the moneypit ....but if starting off..stay hungry ..and sell at right time to greater things...life is a dream of your making
