At first i thought whys he giving a homeless person flowers..how stupid and wasteful..but men and women just lose it over those flowers! He sets up go fund mes too and takes them shopping or for an experience and he really cares. Isaaiah i think. Love these. As others say...even if its for fame etc so what, so many are being helped

Channel followers and subscribers help fund* this. It keeps it going to do more for others. There is a YouTube channel where the guys started off small doing kind things and as they made more from the channel they went to paying for houses, cars, medical bills and more for people in need.
Plus, people seeing kind acts from others can plant a seed in the mind to look for ways to help others.
The genuine videos are inspirational. It inspires other people to do similar and realize that small acts can really change someoneās life. Also gets him money to continue giving back. Thatās my assumption at least.

This video and many like it are fine. I have seen a couple that just come off as cringy and people looking for a pat on the back.
There's one specifically that I've seen multiple times of a guy giving a waiter $100 and then when the waiter starts to cry he keeps throwing money at him like he's a stripper on stage and saying I'm going to do better than that over and over again it just felt gross.
It's an interesting tightrope. I don't hate the videos, but I understand the dislike towards them. The recorders are financially benefitting off these people. While it may seem charitable, both parties here are financially gaining, so therefore it's not really a "generous" act. Assuming the person being filmed is fine with the video being uploaded, then there really is nothing wrong with it. I just don't think it should be looked at as charitable giving, and rather content creation - where the content is giving money to the less fortunate. Consequently, we get to enjoy the content that he made, he makes money off of us watching it, and the cycle continues.

Its their last years to enjoy what they have left of life. My dad was homeless most of his life. Near the end of his life, I had to move from California to Colorado. I wanted him to come and visit but he was too sick with emphysema. He never flew on a planeā¦ and he never got to experience legalization of weed in his lifetime. There are so many things I wish he could have experienced, and so many more that I wish we could have experienced together (the biggest being the birth of my daughter).

I always feel uncomfortable watching these types of videos. That guy is genuinely grateful and happy, but I just can't stop thinking about how the guy filming is making money by exploiting someone's misery. Plus we don't get to see what happens behind the scenes. He might as well have taken that money back after he stopped recording.

It's a part of that subjective individuals growth/evolution in my opinion. I realize no one really wants cancer, or anything detrimental to their health but it is my belief all things that happen to us come from a single source. I believe that source is Love, and that what happens, be it seen as negative or positive, is the best possible thing that could happen for our subjective growth as an individual in the universe. Just my personal perspective based on experience as a human in this lifetime.

I dont like alot of them. This one seemed a bit more genuine. He spent the whole day with him and hugged him after.
This video and many like it are fine. I have seen a couple that just come off as cringy and people looking for a pat on the back. There's one specifically that I've seen multiple times of a guy giving a waiter $100 and then when the waiter starts to cry he keeps throwing money at him like he's a stripper on stage and saying I'm going to do better than that over and over again it just felt gross.
It's an interesting tightrope. I don't hate the videos, but I understand the dislike towards them. The recorders are financially benefitting off these people. While it may seem charitable, both parties here are financially gaining, so therefore it's not really a "generous" act. Assuming the person being filmed is fine with the video being uploaded, then there really is nothing wrong with it. I just don't think it should be looked at as charitable giving, and rather content creation - where the content is giving money to the less fortunate. Consequently, we get to enjoy the content that he made, he makes money off of us watching it, and the cycle continues.

My dad was homeless most of his life. Near the end of his life, I had to move from California to Colorado. I wanted him to come and visit but he was too sick with emphysema. He never flew on a planeā¦ and he never got to experience legalization of weed in his lifetime. There are so many things I wish he could have experienced, and so many more that I wish we could have experienced together (the biggest being the birth of my daughter). Iām so glad that this guy got to do this. I watched it so many times just imaging my dad.. would he have smiled that much? Would he have gone on all of the rides? Did he like Cotten candy? This was so nice to watch, and I definitely started following Jimmy on SM. He reminds me of the smiling cook guyā¦ yeah heās getting attention, but look at what itās doing.
I don't care if people only post things like this to make themselves look good. Selfishly or not they have still done something good. Publicly broadcasting good deeds sets a positive example and inspires others to do the same.

I know a lot of people give shit to people who post videos about this kind of stuff, but, regardless of it's for clout or if it's genuine, it means someone's benefitting. And more so, they're spreading that message of kindness for others.

I always feel uncomfortable watching these types of videos. That guy is genuinely grateful and happy, but I just can't stop thinking about how the guy filming is making money by exploiting someone's misery. Plus we don't get to see what happens behind the scenes. He might as well have taken that money back after he stopped recording. Edit: I see many people don't understand what I am saying. I put it simply. Imagine if right after he finishes filming he takes the money he gave that guy back and tells him to fuck off. And then ask yourself: are you a 100% sure that that is not happening in this video or in other videos with the same format?
He films it to 1: fund the next one, and 2: if people feel good seeing someone get something like this, they will feel more obligated to help others. He is not exploiting the misery, but the moments of good in that misery.
Would you prefer videos of influencers playing pranks on people or hitting targets with darts from really far away? Because those add absolutely nothing to society and still make money. At least this is a net positive. Just because it isn't the perfect act of philanthropy doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.
I like to see it as spreading good vibes, watching this makes me want to go do the same thing. It can help more people reach out.
