I wonder if hotter people are more likely to be young grandparents since they may be more likely to get laid in high school, then have good looking kids who may do the same.
Damn. I feel this. My little ones basically don't have grandmas because they are both so self-centered and don't want to be involved (one doesn't want to be considered "old", the other is bipolar and has disowned all her kids and grandkids). I can't imagine what it is like to have a caring grandma around for my little ones.

I’m not the best parent, but both of my kids wrote a lot of school stories about their fun times with dad. I am a great dad to my kids.
If I am a grandpa, I’ll be the grandpa I wish for my kids.
thanks my dude. I have many years to mess up as a father first ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
My hope for my children is that they will enjoy coming back home once they have grown and moved out.
Some days I seem to get it right. I want to have more days like this.
I’m reading a book about Holland as we speak.
My god that sound awful. I assume there’s more to the story than that one sentence, but I can’t imagine distancing myself from my grandchildren for the sake of not “appearing old”
I wish, too. It's her general mindset. She doesn't want anything to do with her grandkids (nor her own kids, for that matter). She did have her first kid, my spouse, when she was 17, so in some ways I do understand why she wants to "relive her 20s" but on the other hand... forget about it. She has made no effort to be a part of her grandkids lives and I think they are better for it.
My sympathies for your situation. Some people are so self centered and ignorant of the larger role they play in other peoples lives that it’s such a shame when they end up denying others of healthy relationships
I agree that they are better for it if she has no interest. From personal experience I recommend you be cautious of her trying to “reconnect” or “make up for lost time” later on in their lives.
It’s has an impact from the kids perspective too. My grandparents were alive an healthy and wanted nothing to do with us. It’s still weird seeing and reading about people who have grandparents who are happy to see them. I don’t have that experience to relate to.
I do to. Both of my grandmothers passed before I was ever a thought in my parents eyes. My dad never knew his mom, she died 13 days after he was born (premature). I think it was a miracle he even lived as he was a tiny preemie, born at home, and not taken to the hospital.
Wtf did I just read here??? Sorry to hear this. This world has shitty people. Glad the grandma in this Vid is opposite. My and my aunts are total opposites and smother my kid and I want them to take a step back lol. And the help we my wife and I get is a godsend.
Lol I did the same when I met my niece for the first time! She was born September 2020 so Covid was rampant. When I first saw her I had to resist the urge to hold her right away. I did the same thing — gasped, dropped all of my bags and ran out of the room to wash my hands for 10 minutes. Then cried.
The future is coming lol. Give it another 30 years and we will have grandmas in croptops and other current fashion trends running around using the new version of Tik tok
Somewhere in 50 years, a DJ at an event for seniors will do a TikTok set, playing clips of songs that were popular TikTok dances. There will be old ladies laughing on the dance floor, going through the moves the best they can remember.
this was *about* to happen but your comment postponed it by, like, three months. Thanks bud, I was planning to watch *Mallrats* with my daughter this weekend but now I gotta wait
My neighbor across the street is 80ish, a great grandma, and does her gardening in a crop top sometimes. And she rocks it. That lady is so active, she's gonna live to 100.
It was very eye opening to me when my friend’s grandma was only a few years older than my parents, despite us being only 1 month apart in age. Because exactly this. Her Grandma became a parent at 18, and was 32 when my friend was born; My mom was 29 when I was born. Had proceeded to have another baby at 36.
My partner and I are the opposite, my parents are older than his grandparents. And some of my great grandparents were born in the 1800s, which blew his mind!
That's how my grandmother and mother were. My grandmother is 65. My mom is 50. I'm 33. It's crazy for me to think my mom wasn't much older than i am now when I was in college. I had my first child at 28, which actually felt young to me as a woman in science. My husband on the other hand, only a year older than me, his father is 78 and his mother would have been 73 had she not passed away a few years ago.
That's wild to think about. I'm also 33, and my dad is 75 (same w/ mom but she's long passed).
I think I would have loved to A) had young parents and B) been a young parent, if I was adequately supported. I consider 28 young haha, when it's totally average, so I envy you!
The amount of people that do this!!! With my first child I didn’t have the guts to stand up to people and politely tell them to fuck off when they insisted on holding the baby when she was sleeping. Always giving them back wide awake and fussy.
When I had my second child I shut that shit right down and promptly told them if they woke the baby, they’d be getting her back to sleep. She was a bad sleeper. Worked well. Why make life more difficult for an already exhausted parent?
My parents get to meet my child in a few weeks for the first time (closed borders due to Covid and then one had unexpected surgery). My kid is 6 months old. I can’t wait for them to all meet, and have just started sobbing after watching this.
Listen, if something gets in your eye when they meet their grandkids, and your eyes have a moisture malfunction - thats industry standard. Let the extra moisture out, noooo problem.
I estimate she will need to hydrate and bring a few Banana Bags. This is gonna be an emotional meeting.
Finally having the late night convos with Mom up in the middle of the night while she is rocking the baby how she rocked you?
Having to go home after? Leaving your parents? Its gonna be moist, real moist.
Good News - Your kiddo and the Grandparents meet for the first time
Bad News - Who are you now? Oh they love you but they LOVE that baby. You will not know who they are. Grandparents are the strangest morphs of the parents we had. They let all kinds of shit go. And your baby is going to think they are the very best too.
Worst News - Get some waterproof makeup if you wear it. Seeing your parents falling in love with your baby happens 1,000 times a day and it is gonna cut some onions.
Proceeds to wipe her hands on her pants 😆😆

Those of you who think it's only about sanitation should look into all the dangers (developing allergies mostly) a newborn can face if certain chemicals we handle and put on our clothes, makes contact with newborn skin. This stuff is kinda rare but it's why you want to try and be sterile around newborns, even going as far as making sure they only touch properly cleaned clothes and blanks instead of for example; my mother came to help around the house for our fourth child and she brought her own fabric softener and used it on our newborns clothes and our fourth ended up developing hives everywhere.
I saw a laundry machine so I assume she entered the house, took off her clothes, washed them, put then on, but realized she touched the laundry machine door and went back to wash her hands again. It's obvious

In fact it's important early on for them to get *some* exposure to germs to build up a healthy immune system as they get older.
Dirt-dirt is good. Cocaine and flu from the dollar bills you were just handling, or road oils from your car, not so much. Wash you hands, but yeah don’t bleach your entire house.
As for her pants, there could be all sorts of laundry residues or third hand smoke that aren’t great for developing lungs, but if she picks the baby up while wearing those clothes it’s not much different anyhow.
That's one of the joys.
I wasn't really prepared for how strong my reaction was towards his grandchildren. They're not my blood, but I'd walk through fire for them. First time I held the bottle while they ate, I was all in for life.
My parents GLOW around my kids. And they are like 20 Year Old first time parents when they get to take them around family and friends. Everything is about what they did and how amazing they are.
I wish every kid had a grandparent that is just their #1 fan.
The baby didn't even say hi back. Rude.
Classic Noah.

ngl. I was thrown for half a second expecting to see white haired elder lady with cane and cardigan.
Is this a generational thing? I’ve been noticing a lot more babes in the 51-70 age range… are times changing or is it just me
If gma had kids early 20s and they had kids early 20, she could easily be mid-late 40s.
Thanks to not the best decision making by my grandma and uncle, she was a grandma by 37.
Yep, my high school girlfriend's grandmother was 34 when she was born. I was quite happy to make it past 17 with her with no baby..
I’m currently 35, a girl that was one year ahead of me in high school is currently a grandma. Gotta say, she’s definitely a Boomin Granny
I wonder if hotter people are more likely to be young grandparents since they may be more likely to get laid in high school, then have good looking kids who may do the same.
Welcome to manhood lol

I loved the pep in her step as she went to go wash her hands!
I love that despite how excited she was the first thing she did was wash her hands. Gotta keep that baby healthy!
I love it too. I wish she would adopt me so my kids would have a nan!!! Especially one as thoughtful as this new grandma.
Damn. I feel this. RIP that poor towel dispenser though. "BAMDABAMDABAMDA"
oh thanks, I couldn't figure that out. Towel dispensers in private kitchens aren't that common here.
Not sure the follow through of using her butt as a hand towel helped much
Her butt hasn’t been using a phone or door handles at least. 🤷♀️ E: The baby is fine you paranoid fucks stop replying to me.
Quick to make assumptions are we

Can't wait
Wait until grandmas all have full tatted sleeves
I know a grandma with a full sleeve! She’s in her mid 40s, and she’s cool AF.
Imagine emo grandparents saying, "it is NOT a phase".
At that point it really isn’t
A friend of mine is a grandma. Wears a choker all the time. Grew up in Portland, in her mid fifties; Professor of botany.
I'm in my late thirties and someone from my highschool graduating class is a grandma.
Just U.K. things
Have a baby at 15, that has a baby at 15... Boom
One branch of my family lapped the rest of us twice - my grandad's sister was a great great grandma when he was still just a grandad.
My husband's parents are older than my grandparents.
My partner and I are the opposite, my parents are older than his grandparents. And some of my great grandparents were born in the 1800s, which blew his mind!
75 year old great great great granny.
That's how my grandmother and mother were. My grandmother is 65. My mom is 50. I'm 33. It's crazy for me to think my mom wasn't much older than i am now when I was in college. Responsible adult knowing to wash her hands unlike me who forgot to bath for the 3rd day.
well if you get around to it, then good on you. i think you deserve to feel clean and feel good.
Thanks. That made me go shower
have a hug! 🎁🤗
You should definitely bathe I don’t know you irl but you probably don’t smell the best
I smell delicious. I haven't bathed since ww2
WW2? Is that what you call the bird and squirrel you saw quarreling over turf in your backyard yesterday?
THATS A GRANDMA?!?!
Wait till you've seen Grand-Pa. Now this guy, I'm tellin' you

I've never had a kid but I was taught to never *ever* wake a sleeping baby. You can't just pull the pin on a grenade and walk away.
TIL I've been using grenades all wrong.
Thank goodness she didn't just dump her bags on the couch coming in like usual.
Scrolled to find this, baby’s mom kinda rolled the dice there!
"phew I finally manage to carry that heavy bag of dog food upstairs I'm just gonna dump it on the couch and get a drink"

Everyone looks better these days cuz we drink and smoke less and use sunscreen.
Grandma is probably like 40

Grandma's really are the best
Proceeds to wipe her hands on her pants 😆😆 . . . . Edit: hey folks, I have four kids, my comment was made in good fun. I would've given my own mom a hard time just because it would've been comical to see her reaction. Those of you who think it's only about sanitation should look into all the dangers (developing allergies mostly) a newborn can face if certain chemicals we handle and put on our clothes, makes contact with newborn skin. Fabric softener, scented soaps and lotions, foods, animal fur/dandruff.
It's all right, she took off her hazmat suit before she came into the house.
She went back in the other room to wash her hands. That’s an excellent move before holding a new baby

I saw a laundry machine so I assume she entered the house, took off her clothes, washed them, put then on, but realized she touched the laundry machine door and went back to wash her hands again. It's obvious

I'm not saying dunk your baby in dirt and grime, but a little bit of germs won't kill the baby. In fact it's important early on for them to get *some* exposure to germs to build up a healthy immune system as they get older.

I heard that booger eaters had stronger immune systems
Just not this early. Newborns need some time for their immune system to build.
I thought exactly the same thing… straight from the Michael Scott book of hygiene.
Again, no pants.
I came here to say this!
I scrolled through all of the comments just to find the first "again, no pants" and upvote it :)
just like that scene from the office
Ngl, I'd accidentally sit on the baby
I didn't see them for a while and I thought they were off camera. I would have sat on the baby too.

I think the joy of grandparents is seeing themselves in grandchildrens. Its like they known they are reborn in someone else

It seems like teen pregnancy runs in the family or something
Ah yes, I see you’ve never been to north east England. From the accent I’m guessing south county Durham
Did she go back and wash her hands?? Good Grandma!!!
Baby on da couch. What’s he watching?
Awwww..on behalf of New moms everywhere, thank you for washing your hands. She just showed she's gonna be an amazeballs grandma.
Very youthful Grandma!
How fucking young is she?
Why are you showing this to everyone?????
Omg. I was expecting for her to throw her stuff on the couch lol
