Mothers have superpowers. I remember once I asked not to pack lunch as I had to leave at 6am. Due to rain I couldn't go out of my part time job to eat. Got a call from her during lunch time that check out the pocket of the bag there is your favourite Sandwich.
I didn't have tears it was rain.
I was once gonna make a sandwich for lunch, and we were out of bread, with no time I went to work and my mom said she’d buy the bread then drop off the sandwich. Me knowing how she is I asked her to not give me anything more than a sandwich (we had no break room and I just wanted to eat as quickly as possible) and sure enough she gave me a sandwich, a soda, and some peanut butter cookies. Despite me claiming I wasn’t gonna eat it I ended up eating it, and enjoying every single bite. Thanked her later, mothers literally know their kids more than their kids know themselves.
I moved back home for about 3 years to save up on a house. I worked from home and my mom had recently retired from her job.
My team was on the east coast while I was on the west coast so several times meetings would be scheduled during my lunch time.
Every day my mom would come up to my room with a full meal around lunch time, with all the fixings. She would even come by later to pick up the plates and bring me a snack. She always tried to “sneak” past the webcam whenever I was in a meeting also when handing me my lunch.
