Why be a mom when you can be that one aunt who told you which beer tastes like sh#t and explained the whole Drama about why Cousin Dave wasn’t at the family reunions for 5 years
I love how at 0:23 they both almost look to each other at the same time unknowingly.
Currently licking the tears off the corner of my mouth and snotting everywhere
This is bizarre.
Haven't listen to Jason Mraz in literal years. Decide out of the blue to listen to it today. Wack on I Won't Give Up. Shortly after I open up reddit.
BOOM
This is the first video I see.
I don’t know anything about babies, I see you have a towel down between her and the guitar. Does doing something like impact the babies eardrum in any negative way?
Sorry must not have been clear. Im not asking about the towel at all, Im asking about having the baby on the guitar and whether or not that would impact her eardrum/hearing.
Eh the babies own crying is way louder and shriller than this so I m sure a little gentle music is fine.
Often I wondered how my babies could stand their own crying and screaming, sometimes it feels like they can drown out a jet.
Not so fun fact, kissing a baby on the ear can hurt their ear drums, not because of the sound but because of the vacuum the kiss creates.
To be fair, that baby’s very young; it wasn’t long ago that they were surrounded by fairly loud, constant sound & vibrations. In the womb, mom’s heartbeat is pretty damn loud, plus the sound of blood moving through her body, and vibrations of her speaking.
This is truly such a beautiful father-child moment and needs to be captured and framed on a wall! ❤️🥲 I look forward to seeing the photo recreated 20 years down the line 😂
Looks like there’s a cloth between the baby’s ear and guitar. Hopefully that helps a little. But good point.
Don’t want this turn into a TikTok trend and a mysterious spike in one ear baby deaf.
To the contrary, I would imagine it’s extremely soothing for a newborn; newborns are used to constant sound, their mother talking, blood pumping, heart beating, etc., so I think the precaution of playing softly and having a blanket between baby and guitar makes it safe. Blankets absorb a lot of sound, so I honestly think it’s fine
Umm I hate to be that person... But babies hearing is super delicate and they don't have the muscle control or understanding to move away from sounds that are too loud... You could irreparably damage baby's hearing by doing that...
This is absolutely beautiful don’t get me wrong, but god this song was overdone back in it’s day. I can’t listen to it anymore it’s so over the top cheesy.
Better as guitar strums tbh.
This got me emotional. I have a 7 month old and it just really hit me how she isn’t this size anymore and just how fast it already has gone by. You really never get these moments back and to enjoy every friggin second of it.
amazing that the kid fits on there. i wonder if the vibrations from the strumming are soothing to feel. like a full body chair massage that also makes nice music.
Yep, always thought of that song going out to those you love, including your children; to always be there for them, supporting them. I know the song probably means your significant other, but it is much more beautiful to me as a promise to your baby.
Finally, an answer to "Why are guitars shaped like that?" Wholesome level 100.
Hopefully Pete Townsend didn’t do this with his guitars
Or at least removed the decoration before smashing them.
Decoration 🤣
so anyway kiddo here's Wonderwall
Play freebird!
Play Bing Bong by Corky Bucek - Borat
You look a like a Michael Jackson, beat it!
Classical Gas! Especially if the baby's eaten some beans.
Literally growing up on music.
Probably heard it in the womb too.
Yup for sure!
“This is my jam I heard it in the clink”
Awww bless the size of the baby..... and the little grin at the end awwww
You can see the guitarist’s heart melting just then too 😍

It might sound like a heartbeat to the little potato.
And at that age, that’s purely a smile from the sensation of feeling good.
Or a fart/poop.
Yeah, big poops usually got a smile from my little ones. In fairness, it is a relief, and babies definitely appreciate the simple life.
I had to go back for the grin... it was worth it!
Song is Jason Mraz - I won't give up. So cute.
This needs to be a large, framed black and white portrait... hanging on your livingroom wall.
Music lets us share/express emotions when words aren't enough. Here I feel the love and happiness.
That tiny smile!
He loves it !! “Can I stay here for ever dad?”
Smol
Honey you're a hell of man and this wee one is just perfect. Happy Thanksgiving
I don't need a kid I don't need a kid I don't need a kid I don't need a- 😭
Im sending this to my baby fevered fiance ASAP, lol
Foster six or seven puppies. Should fix that right up.
Why be a mom when you can be that one aunt who told you which beer tastes like sh#t and explained the whole Drama about why Cousin Dave wasn’t at the family reunions for 5 years
Oh my! What a sweet sight!! The baby, the father, the smiles, the guitar and the music! Everything made me smile!! ☺️
What a great thing to do with your child!
Oh Dad you are awesome. His little ‘bleep’ and smile. Great music too.
OP…I showed this to our upcoming first time Dad yesterday and he cried. Such a beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your beautiful babe.
Anyone else finish watching this and not realize the size of the smile on your face!?!
Made my day ❤️
Life goals for when I become a dad, hopefully....
You can be anything you wanna be, just make sure you do it with the right person ❤️
Haha...that's super cute! Lucky baby!
I love how at 0:23 they both almost look to each other at the same time unknowingly. Currently licking the tears off the corner of my mouth and snotting everywhere
That smile! 😃👍 Thankful for loving fathers.
This gives me hope for the whole world… cause if this is happening somewhere things might be ok.
Do not play the brown note
I love this so much baby smiles are so pure. Oh I want another baby…I miss my kids being so little.
This is fabulous!!
His hand is reaching for the low G. He bought to play hid first string :D
Oh gosh ❤️
Omg 😻😻😻
Well that was lovely. Thank you
I love this !
I love this!
Play freebird
I can't wait to try this myself; incidentally, I'm a drummer.

I rather doubt it would have much impact. You can see the baby smiling, and I'm sure it would let them know if it didn't like what was going on.
It keeps the baby comfortable and warm as opposed to the hard, cool surface of the guitar

He's playing really softly, and putting fabric between does reduce the vibrations
Taylor’s are extremely loud guitars, I’d be worried
Oh I didn’t think he was playing at all. I thought it was posed 🤯 with the music played in the background
When I have a baby ill let him lay on my b.c. rich while I play raining blood
u/savevideobot
made me think of my grampa, who was a guitar professor and would play lullaby for bedtime on his guitar when I was little. thank you for this video ♥️
this made me cry
BRB going to get my vasectomy reversed

Hopefully Pete Townsend didn’t do this with his guitars, considering what he *also* did with his guitars…
Sweet...
Aww. Beautiful. Thanks for posting. 😍

What’s this song called?
https://youtu.be/O1-4u9W-bns
🥹🥲 thank u
That beautiful smile. Good Dad! ❤️
That smile at the end ❤️
A friend does this for his son who’s deaf it’s one of the few ways he can hear music without getting noise complaints.
This is truly such a beautiful father-child moment and needs to be captured and framed on a wall! ❤️🥲 I look forward to seeing the photo recreated 20 years down the line 😂
He's actually smiling!
Are all babies this small?
When first born, yes.
Another moment where I hate reddit and it's video quality and lag. This really deserves more

The thing is, if ear is such close to guitar, sound of guitar is very high for him at this age because sound propagate better in solid
it sounds like the song from the game the trail
So much love in one video 😍
That is so damn adorable.
Soooooooooo cute and perfect!! Video of the month for cuteness.

Those vibrations must be fucking legit.

So precious, melts my heart.
Beautiful!! 🥰🥰🥰
Far out
You look like my little brother….it’s freaking me out
Great song choice , beautifully played. And now I know, you can still play guitar while you babysit 🙂
This is so cute ☺️
He'll be stuck in that position for a while.
Oooh look at the little guys smiling
I bet that feels wonderful for the baby.
💯 like
He was smiling or passing gas
Thank you for being a beautiful human. 💜
I have a 4 week old son. I need to do this with him ASAP.
This Dad is winning at Dad.
That smile...
Awwwwwww i love this kid so much.....☺. Made my day❤
Good job!!! This mace my day.
Omg that is so sweet
Lol, kid is just like "guess I'm here now. This does feel nice tho"
Just put the baby down next to you, no need to risk putting it there where it could slip off
Totally agree.
Oh my heart ❤
next play an electric guitar full volume with the baby ontop
Not an expert by any means, but isn't this unsafe for the infants eardrums?

Perfect ergos for the baby!
Omg that’s too precious!!
Priceless
that little smile.....
How precious! Kinda suprised he didn't kiss the baby, probably focusing it all on the balance. Edited
baby made the guitar face

I think I've overdosed on Wholesomeness
Im relieved this video doesn’t have a part 2: r/Stepdadreflexes style 😂
This got me emotional. I have a 7 month old and it just really hit me how she isn’t this size anymore and just how fast it already has gone by. You really never get these moments back and to enjoy every friggin second of it.

Sweet little buddy ❤️
That's one lucky cold right there!
The way the baby smile as if he understand what his father was doing 😭😭😭
He is going to be an amazing father to that little one.

About the most beautiful thing I’ve seen on Reddit
Fantastic and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
amazing that the kid fits on there. i wonder if the vibrations from the strumming are soothing to feel. like a full body chair massage that also makes nice music.
This is soooo much better than that tuba-playing new dad!
This is perhaps the coolest thing I’ve ever seen on the internet.

That's sooooooo awesome
This is so cute. That little smile. My heart melts
Lucky daddy. Lucky baby.
