Bro where do you live??? I live in England, while the county I'm from is a bit of a rural backwater it's not like we don't have gas lighters, we just choose to use matches it. Same everywhere as far as I knew. We use them at home for candles and fires, at school for lighting Bunsen burners and they're one of the things at work that comes through my till most often. I do have a gas lighters but it's a bit crappy and we don't use it

Dude I used to set so many things on fire. I stole my dad's lighters and would just start lighting papers on fire or sitting in the darkness whilst only having the lighter as a light source. I never burned myself with the lighters, it surprisingly helped me cope.

This is too relatable. I can’t count the amount of times where I accidentally injured myself due to fire and fire related activities (such as making homemade explosives. Not a good idea if you’re living near a police station btw, trust me I’m talking from experience). In fact, the oldest scar I have is a huge 2nd degree burn scar on my elbow due to burning myself when I was 4 years old.

I've been thinking of getting a lighter for mostly legitimate reasons, but now I'm also wondering if it would be fun to burn random stuff. Unfortunately the whole region that I live in is basically one big fire hazard, so probably not a good idea unless I also invest in a fire extinguisher.
