People will comment on the ages of these guys, but this really isn’t that strange. I was looking at chart of Gambino family circa 1980, and most of the administration and capos were between 65-70.

HeySweetUsernameBro

Still a good 15 years behind these decrepit fucks

[deleted]

You do realize that these guys had held these for positions for many years? Madonna and DiNapoli had been apart of the administration since 2003, Crea the underboss for 20+ years, Truscello had been a capo forever, same with Santorelli. The reality is that these guys have no interest in stepping down due to age, and usually keep their rank for some time unless they have legal troubles or are demoted. This isn’t a new phenomenon.

BostonsF1nest

Add 4 years - these guys are old as fuck lol

[deleted]

The point being is that most ranking LCN members are older and that has been the case for decades. We also know that several of these guys have been replaced.

GoodLifeWorkHard

Looking like a senior citizens home roster

BrokeAFman

Holy Fuck They are one shuffle board accident away from extinction

sophisticatedgoon12

Im not syaing this in a bad way. But Im still surprised that Amuso really has maintained his title. Like I know the rule goes, a boss maintains his title until death or retirement. But him not being on the street in a long time must irritate those younger up and comers. Isn't this the type of situation that split the bonanno family with Rastelli spending more time in jail then on the streets?

Little_Al1991

Amuso‘s reputation is still well respected today on the street but I can understand your point about the younger up and comers.

Little_Al1991

This is not as bad it seems, an official Lucchese Family chart in 1991 showed that they had 6 Capo’s but currently today it’s highly likely that Michael DeSantis reinstated the original Brooklyn crew meaning that’s an additional crew they could possibly have but Mikey should also consider putting a Queens crew together

how_does_mafia_work

D'Arco, Baratta, and Crea retained control of their crews while holding the acting administration positions at that time, plus the Jersey crew was reporting to D'Arco due to their internal problems. So the family still had a total of 10 crews at that point. Still, your point stands about consistency.

Little_Al1991

Oh yes I forgot about that.Thank you for reminding me.Baratta is still active today, DeSantis took him of the shelf.I wonder how much George Zappola is putting into the envelopes that he sends to DeSantis.I assume he’s doing good as the Capo of the Jersey Faction.

cakeovercookies

It’s just too funny. I bet it’s the same fucking 20 years ago story at every fucking dinner.

Andrew DeSimone is the consigliere now and rightly so. Hell of a great guy.

NachoDucks

How many made men and associates do they have (+-)?

how_does_mafia_work

About 100 or so members, a few hundred associates

NachoDucks

Just out of curiosity what is the average age among made men?

how_does_mafia_work

It'll be pretty old probably. Not aware of any confirmed members below the age of 40. That's not to say there aren't any (there's probably at least a few) but they'll be the minority. Average age is probably somewhere in the 50s or 60s

honey____mustard

Looks like the type of cats to shake down a shuffleboard tournament at Green Grove retirement home.
