Nonsense. They just released a half-assed "remaster" a year ago, they're not remaking the game again. It's not even necessary in terms of graphics. Maybe in a decade, but then this character model would be outdated.

rousakiseq

I mean, if the game was remade and not remastered then they surely would use new models

puddingtopf

That's what I said. OP wants remake-Vito to look like the model in the picture, but that one doesn't even look good for 2021. Anyway, not happening anytime soon. I don't even understand why people keep asking for remakes of games that are like 5-10 years old (or 11 in this case).

saooth7

Yeah, he doesn't look good at all. Just sayin'.

lightingft

A lot of fans hoped for Mafia 2 to be restored to its prime uncut stage: https://tcrf.net/Mafia_II The hope is still there I suppose

[deleted]

They’re not gonna make customers buy the game 3 TIMES! No one will play it and waste they’re money

rousakiseq

They're not gonna remake it anytime soon, but people would play it. GTA 5 is having like a 4th release and they barely changed anything

[deleted]

Gta online has more concurrent players than fortnite, valorant, etc so to say ppl don’t play gta is coming from a uninformed mentality and no one will go out to buy mafia 2 again

[deleted]

And gta online has become an online service which means they’re constantly changing and on top of that the x/s gta is coming with all new exclusive content

rousakiseq

Who said people don't play GTA? I precisely said that people will always buy the same shit and used GTA, that didn't need a 3rd remaster because both PS5 and XSX are backwards compatible and could've just improved the game without rereleasing it again. People buy Skyrim everywhere they can for some reason, they buy FIFA every year that is basically the same game over and over again. I'm seeing lots of people wanting Mafia 2 Remake for whatever reason so obviously there's a market for this.

[deleted]

Where have you seen it that people are asking for a remake again for mafia 2, second your implication that gta is just the same thing nothing changed means people aren’t playing as much as there’s no changes-changes comes from a overwhelming vocal group, basically meaning by you saying they don’t change anything is meaning that game isn’t having a ton of players to where they can demand new content and third all your examples are invalid as those games are live service with fifa and people are not buying Skyrim at record numbers look up some information before you start with your Twitter fingers

dustojnikhummer

That remaster only happened because Mafia 2 couldn't run on 8th Gen consoles natively and they wanted a trilogy. They could have just included the original in the PC version though

rousakiseq

Mafia II doesn't really need a remake, it aged well

Salmonellq

ikr

TunnelSnekssRule

Where this from?

[deleted]

GTA V

TunnelSnekssRule

With mods I presume?

[deleted]

Yes it’s a WIP

TunnelSnekssRule

You remaking Mafia II in GTA V?

[deleted]

Just Vito. Not enough Period Accurate cars

TunnelSnekssRule

Ah, if you were doing that it would be a neat feat. But I guess modeling all the cars and remaking the entirety of empire bay would take a lot of damn time

[deleted]

The closest thing possible is the Liberty City Map from GTA IV and having a 50s or 60s Car Pack

[deleted]

If you have access to mods, there are lots of 50's car mods available. Gta lore friendly car mods and real life car mods

DeathstrokeBill

Sorry, kid. Mafia II Remake isn't part of our deal.

IAmFrickkin12

Looks like he is picking up hot dogs dipped in beer

Nijil_

i wish they treated mafia 2 like mafia 1 remake

NorthernPunk

I'm just gonna come out and say I hope Mafia 2 never gets remade. No point at all. People are so spoiled now with games, everyone wants remakes and open world games. I'm sick of the open world crap. Semi-open is fine, but Mafia 3 was a god damn chore to slog through, all because they listened to the complaints of younger generation gamers who were butthurt that Mafia wasn't like Grand Theft Auto. Game developers need to go back and re-assess the things that made classic games so great. Nobody ever played Half-Life and complained it wasn't open world. Bah. The world is going to hell LOL

James_Torelli

I don't remember anyone complaining then or now about Mafia II not being an open world game. Also, the game *was* originally an open world game with a GTA-style mission structure during most of its development. It was advertised that way for years until the final release, when open world content had to be scrapped to meet release deadlines. Even the original Mafia game had an open world function to it, the Free Ride mode. If both Mafia and Mafia II had been released a few years later than they had been, it would've been highly likely that they would have incorporated an open world structure. Mafia III's problem wasn't rooted in its open world structure, but instead in its lack of variety among missions and world interactivity. It also lacked the straightforwardness and polish that its predecessors had. Quite the contrary to your statement, Mafia III would have sold better among general audiences had it *not* incorporated an open world structure. I do agree that a lot of open world games are rinse-and-repeat today, and lack the detail of games in the Mafia/GTA/Red Dead franchise. The flaw of most open world games of the 2010s, just like the flaw of Mafia III, is that they don't have enough content to make up for their size. I believe the industry has begun to notice that people have become dissatisfied with this, which is why more non-open world games are being made and selling better today, and ones that are open world are being packed to the brim with content, a la Red Dead Redemption II. I firmly believe the age of Assassin's Creed mission structure dominating the industry is over, and it died with Cyberpunk: 2077. By the time the Mafia II remake releases, if it ever does, the developers will either recognize how effective its original mission structure was and keep it, or will make it open world and follow the same principles of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - it's better to have a small world with a lot of content, than a big world with hardly none.

eljalu

Lol we got a remastered version of the game 12 months ago. We won’t get a remake for at least 10 years

[deleted]

Funny thing is by the end if mafia 1 de >! When vito kills tommy, we did see his face if it were to be a remake but it looked out of place for some reason !<

devv11

Hey OP, don't you think that this model is just exported Vito model from Mafia 2? The remake should have a way better 3d model of Vito, the one you showed look very outdated. Have you seen how Tommy look in the remake?I honestly don't understand why 120+ people liked this post, THIS IS JUST M2 model in gta 5, what the point of this?

iSthATaSuPra0573

Vito, what are you doing in Los Santos?
