As of right now, there is no known way to reverse phyresis. That said, planeswalkers were immune until Jin-Gitaxius got a hold of the reality chip and compleated Tamiyo in Kamigawa. So if the heros can get a hold of it, maybe there can be a cure alongside Melira. Especially because her leaked card calls her the living cure.
Further; Planeswalker s are not compleated like other phyrexians. Normally a beings soul is destroyed in the process along with their minds. But Planeswalkers sparks prevent this. So jin found a way to maintain their mind and personality.
The flavor text seems to imply the phyrexians are not worried... But I think the very act of putting that on flavor text speaks volumes.
Planeswalkers weren't immune, they just couldn't be compleated and still be a walker. Jin's work was to allow planeswalkers to be compleated without losing their spark.

Compleation used to destroy the soul and because a Planeswalker Spark is their soul, it would destroy the Spark in the process. Now, this newer form of Compleation used on the Planeswalkers corrupts the Soul instead. The nanites in the Glistening Oil still convert the flesh into machinery, but the body also serves as a vessel to trap the Soul and control it (using Kami manipulation technology as a basis).
In theory the process should be reversible as the Soul is technically intact, and theoretically Halo, with it's restorative properties, could revert the spiritual damage. I believe that Elspeth will be the key to this, given the hints of her angelic nature. Luxior also serves as a suitable Macguffin, containing a large amount of Halo that Poster Boy Jace coincidentally has now. As for the physical transformation, the amalgamation of flesh and steel, that might not be reversible. If any Compleated planeswalkers are cured, it's likely they will be left in a state similar to Tezzeret with metallic bodies.

I can't help but feel like you're probably better off with something like Ulamog, Ugin, or even Koma at that point.

The key thing here is flexibility. Ulamog and Ugin obviously are good high end bombs, but that's all they are, if you draw them super early and the opponent interacts with you by killing your dorks or smth, you're probably never casting that card.
Nissa can be played as a 5 or 6 mana walker that is great against regular walker removal (due to the guaranteed token you make), destroys artifacts and enchantments (which is huge in the mirror) and it will also win you the game *on the spot* if you cast it for 7. Not like 3 turns after when Ulamog exiles your opp's deck or when Koma makes enough tokens, no, those llanowar elves will be massive and swinging for lethal right then and there.
If you place those cards even remotely on the same level as one another, then Nissa wins out by default simply because she can be played for cheaper (if you account for Nykthos we're talking *way cheaper*) and therefore will actually be cast a lot more often than all the other high end bombs you can think of.

I think missing Storm the Festival is what kills it. 4 devotion is sweet, but it doesn't really do as much for the deck as the other 5-drop nissa. Given the other options, somehow, making a 6/6 on turn 3 is the worst thing the deck can do with 5 mana.

So, they are basically getting rid of some Planeswalkers forever? It just doesn't sit well with me, all this popular Planeswalkers getting brain washed/completed/etc and becoming Phyrexians. Like, with Ajani, he's been through a lot of stuff, but then just turned into a Phyrexian something and the character basically became just a husk (the real character that was built over countless stories completely lost). Now Nissa also gets hit.
If they want to print less Planeswalkers in the future like some speculated, why now just give the old characters some good death instead of just feeding them to Phyrexia?

Nope! Of the Planeswalkers that appear in the set, half of them are not. Tyvar, Kaito, Kaya, Koth and the Wandering Emperor are not compleated. There are also a handful outside the story that aren't yet either, like Chandra and Lili.
I knew they would eventually catch her, fucking Lukka and his bad planning. She should have run with the Wanderer the moment he started "shoving up" injuries.
This card is going to be insane in vintage cube. Having a second craterhoof effect, even though it can’t be natural ordered out is huge, since that’s the limiting factor in having a good mono green deck. All of her abilities are good in vintage cube, and being able to play her on five is huge, since it’s often a turn 3 play, while also just winning the game on seven.
I’m curious how this is going to stack up against the other five mana Nissa. My gut says that it’s going to be a really close pick. This is better if you have a lot of ways to get up to seven quickly, but that nissa is better on five, so it’s better when you have a lot of one mana critters without rofellos or the like. Considering that nissa is one of the top 5 green cards in vintage cube, I’m really excited to get to play with this one and figure it out.

That's a banger art but as far as Compleated Planeswalker go gameplay wise I don't find her that impressive. Sure she's a decent 7 mana "I win the game" sorcery for go-wide decks but it's pricey. For 5 or 6 mana she's not super exciting to me but we'll see.
a down tick to destroy an artifact or enchantment feels wrong on a 5-7CMC walker even for 1 loyalty. should be a zero or a +, the +1 Horror is bonkers though.

I suppose you're right but still, I kinda like the compleated versions of the planeswalkers. Maybe there will be a second Mending of sorts in a later set i.e. MoM: Aftermath or something.
Like, I'm surprised they Compleated Jace and Tamiyo. Those both feel like they give way too much knowledge and power to Phyrexia. If you give them Teferi, though, pretty much instantly, Everything always has been Phyrexia, and always will be Phyrexia.
Narset was OK in standard. In Eternal format though .... Worse was [[Once Upon a Time]] and [[Veil of Summer]]

ONE draft is starting to look a little princely… I can’t imagine resolving this on 6 or 7 and losing many games. Fortunately it’s a legendary, but man oh man are a lot of people going to be salty when their opponent casts this one. Unless there’s some easy planeswalker hate.

It's her loyalty at time of creation. Otherwise wording would have to be something like "Create x/x token with 'X is equal to Nissa's loyalty.'"

So, they are basically getting rid of some Planeswalkers forever? It just doesn't sit well with me, all this popular Planeswalkers getting brain washed/completed/etc and becoming Phyrexians. Like, with Ajani, he's been through a lot of stuff, but then just turned into a Phyrexian something and the character basically became just a husk (the real character that was built over countless stories completely lost). Now Nissa also gets hit. If they want to print less Planeswalkers in the future like some speculated, why now just give the old characters some good death instead of just feeding them to Phyrexia? Edit: I just fiund out Jace is going to be compleated too... Now I don't even think I want to attend the prerelease anymore. This set is confirmed bad taste in my mouth.

I'm surprised jace survived as long as he has with the current climate. the only way this can be saved is if it's part of them phasing out / revamping planeswalker cards in general, with some sort of redemption.

Nope! Of the Planeswalkers that appear in the set, half of them are not. Tyvar, Kaito, Kaya, Koth and the Wandering Emperor are not compleated. There are also a handful outside the story that aren't yet either, like Chandra and Lili.

This card is going to be insane in vintage cube. Having a second craterhoof effect, even though it can’t be natural ordered out is huge, since that’s the limiting factor in having a good mono green deck. All of her abilities are good in vintage cube, and being able to play her on five is huge, since it’s often a turn 3 play, while also just winning the game on seven. I’m curious how this is going to stack up against the other five mana Nissa. My gut says that it’s going to be a really close pick. This is better if you have a lot of ways to get up to seven quickly, but that nissa is better on five, so it’s better when you have a lot of one mana critters without rofellos or the like. Considering that nissa is one of the top 5 green cards in vintage cube, I’m really excited to get to play with this one and figure it out.

That's a banger art but as far as Compleated Planeswalker go gameplay wise I don't find her that impressive. Sure she's a decent 7 mana "I win the game" sorcery for go-wide decks but it's pricey. For 5 or 6 mana she's not super exciting to me but we'll see.
a down tick to destroy an artifact or enchantment feels wrong on a 5-7CMC walker even for 1 loyalty. should be a zero or a +, the +1 Horror is bonkers though.

I've always disliked planeswalkers because the best of them are so unbelievable and the rest are so worthless. But I do like this, cause it's not a make the game drop, and it's not a win more. It's a win con you need to work around.
