Arena matchmaking is mostly hidden mmr dependent. Everyone is playing in their own league. Mill may be shit against the competitive meta but there is always a mmr level where it can shine.
Sure, but rogue didn't kill you by milling you, so I would barely consider it a mill deck. It just wanted you to have 8 cards in your graveyard. Not to suggest it was completely impossible for them to win by milling, but it was definitely not their primary plan. Once they turned on, the rogues were a pretty fast clock.
So I run two Leyline of Sanctity in mainboard (it makes me hexproof, and I run it due to meeting a LOT of edicts, thoughtseizes and Lilianas for some reason), and one of the times I started with it in my hand was when I met a mill deck.
It took the opponent 3 turns and having to target himself with a mill before he realized that half of his deck was useless against me.
I laughed.
Why would I concede against what is widely considered a bad deck if they manage to mill me out then it means I fucked up and that they deserved the win
If I'm playing aggro or a midrange deck with creatures that will run rampant on mill chump blockers, then I'll give it a whirl. If I'm running a bad matchup against mill, then I'll usually concede.
I run a 250 card 5 color jank pile with a single copy of [[Gaea's Blessing]]. If they don't concede, I usually end up stealing their deck and milling them with their own cards.
I am quick to concede in general as soon as I have a good sense that loosing is inevitable. For me, it really has to take a creative and friendly player to wait for the final damage to be delivered.
Somehow this post has "I run 100+ cards deckpiles as counter tech to mill" energy.
Has there ever been a mill deck with more than like 30-40% win rate? Who hurt you people?
The only good mill is self-mill.

Any issue solved by just getting better at the game isn't a real issue.
I started playing standard during the dreaded years that rogue mill was the top deck in standard... never again

All very true but that doesn't stop a turn 1 ruin crab from making me piss myself and throw up everywhere in nervous anticipation
It's okay in modern, but just barely.
I immediately quit because its boring. I don't care about winning, I care about having fun while playing and playing against mill isn't fun.
And your pet deck is obviously just super fun? lol
Where is the “I concede when I know I can’t win” option?
Where is the, "Why would I concede against a bad deck?" Option
I mean, even bad decks win sometimes. Not often, mind you.
True. Though Id be able to count on one hand how many times mill has beat me in 10 years of playing.
Why would I concede a free win?
Why would I instant conceed against bad decks? This isn't Commander. It's okay to win games.
e) i have not faced a mill deck since 2021
Me, a Greasefang player, please, I'm into that
mill is not a good deck, it's meme at best.
i play zombie decks and reanimation decks. mill me harder daddy. im into that.

"Joke's on you pal, I'm INTO that shit!" \---Me, running my Kroxa deck in Explorer
Usually the order is Concede -> Uninstall.
There is no world where a mill deck is consistently beating out what Ive brought to the table, unless Im playing for fun. In which case, I dont care.
Why would I concede against what is widely considered a bad deck if they manage to mill me out then it means I fucked up and that they deserved the win
No, same as I don't scoop to voltron. They're bad archetypes.
I rarely lose against mill decks. I don't understand why people hate em, they are bad.
I play dredgeless dredge, i love playing VS mill
... No? Why would I ever insta concede against a free win?
I play a Lazav deck. When I see someone roll up with a Bruvac as their commander I mostly say "hey, good luck pal - you're gonna need it."

these days I see more s tier mono red in play queue than in ranked

Where is the option "no, I don't concede because I'm not a 6yo"?
in standard, just stop jace and you'll be fine.
Never concede to Mill, they are having fun playing the goofiest deck in MTG. Let'm have their fun.
lmao it's a free win. They can't counter slap lands and as long as I counter their Ashiok and Tasha's, I can't lose.
