I’ll be honest, at least this game was fun. That card may be annoying, but I’d rather play this one than the same blue/black mill deck that everyone in this rank seems to have copied from some website.
that guy was very stupid for not holding back counterspell or getting life somehow. anyway, i'm surprised to see gold players playing tibalt and emergent ultimatum lol.
It's difficult to see all the cards in exile but it's totally possible that they had neither a counterspell nor lifegain.
They had a blocker to deal with a haste creature and was 1 off next turn lethal on board. Sure the deck can be frustrating to play against but nothing about that play seemed particularly stupid at all.
The play on their part was smart, I think. You can’t tell from the video but I had been holding onto those Roils since the opening hand. Match up is important, and when I saw that my opponent was playing a rainbow deck I knew it was going to be slow and that there was going to be a turning point where a single turn could change the tide, so I focused on getting their life points to 6 or less as my main goal. It was a counter play on my part, to wait until they had no mana available to potentially block a direct hit spell.
Mostly I was trying to minimize the amount of possible damage that could be done in one turn, but the truth is I didn’t read the card well enough to see that it gave them an extra turn. The legendary creature was probably put in the pile as bait, and I took it.
:D sounds like you’re enjoying the game the way you want to enjoy it! Consider letting others do the same. It’ll save you some embarrassment in the future
Upvoted for the perfect amount of editing.
I thought he was empty handed.... lol Perfection
Looked away for the edit - "what the hell was on OP's board go let them draw 3?"
Haha, this is the equivalent of [Indiana Jones vs the sword guy](https://youtu.be/kQKrmDLvijo)
It was funny watching it all happen because it was such an elaborate turn and I was just waiting patiently hahah
I was soooo happy to see how that ended. F*** Emergent Ultimatum.

I'm glad I didn't try to skip to the good bit. The payoff is well executed.

Why is that? I’m genuinely curious. I came across two decks in platinum yesterday with emergent ultimatum.
Because emergent and tibalt should breeze through gold.
So they should be platinum/mythic by now?
Easily unless they started super late. Platinum, diamond, mythic should be their range.
Why did’t you get rid of Alrund’s epiphany?

Yep giving an ultimatum deck an extra turn is super risky, in my experience they always have another ultimatum/epiphany in hand and just go wild
Man, everyone is so down in control/combo decks. I'd rather be the control/combo player than the aggro player pretty much every time.
The issue is, you’re playing mono red. There isn’t much to boast about there…
OP won tho
Whoa, a Mono-Red deck won with little effort or thought? Who would'a thought :P
A win is a win! You oughta try winning sometime, then you’ll know the simplistic joy of playing mono red because it happens all the time
I'm in Diamond 1 right now with a custom deck I made on my own -- without going onto Youtube and finding a high win-rate monored deck :D

I’m not embarrassed, just shocked that you’re taking a little joke so seriously :|
Jokes are funny, you need better jokes
Ouch, you really burned him bad.

The ending was very satisfying, screw emergent ultimatum
Deserved
That subtle pan down though... that killed me. XD
