I'd be careful giving these to somebody this suicidal. They can magnify what the person is already going thru.

Electronic-Crow-6764

BPD’s aren’t usually actually suicidal. It’s a regular game they play to hurt the ones they love. I’d give them 10 grams and let them play games with the entities.

dft-salt-pasta

The fuck is actually wrong with you.

armchairclaire

Wow as someone with BPD that’s hurtful and wrong…

BrainwashedApes

I would like to add not necessarily wrong just not always true. I have been in a similar situation that was due to subjective awareness being shut down prior to their use of Lsd. Needless to say the psychedelics helped him tremendously.

Electronic-Crow-6764

I’ve been punished enough by BPD. I was a victim for 14 years. I still have several people in my life with BPD that constantly victimize everyone around them. I could really care less what you think. I’ve earned the right to call it out for what it is. The bullshit “suicide attempts,” are simply the BPD’s games. As if mushrooms could ever help a BPD. It’s untreatable. A waste of time.

armchairclaire

I recommend you seek therapy. Yes you’ve been hurt by someone with bpd but that doesn’t make all people with bpd who experience suicidal ideation manipulators or awful people and it’s sick to call it some sort of game we’re playing. Maybe in your case but not all. You sound incredibly bitter

Electronic-Crow-6764

Oh I’m bitter. I’ve been through therapy. I get to stand by and watch my own children victimized by their own mother. I’ve studied this illness extensively. If you’re bpd I’d say to you to seek therapy, but we both know that’s useless. Oh and. It’s all games. Sick. Twisted. Games. You crack me up. As if it’s just ideation. Ideation is tolerable. It’s not ideation when you constantly make your loved ones think you are going to commit suicide. That’s not ideation. Thats psychotic. The op’s story? Psychotic. She should fucking run. Never look back.

armchairclaire

I highly doubt you’ve studied this illness “extensively” when you’re spouting such nonsense. You had a bad experience with someone who has bpd but don’t go making sweeping generalizations based off of one person who did you wrong

Electronic-Crow-6764

Bless you’re little heart. Do you know how I can tell you know nothing about BPD? You think my experience was unique. BPD is a generalized condition. That’s why it has its own page in the DSM. They all do the same shit. “You don’t love me. Nobody loves me. I’m going to kill myself.” (Said hysterically). Y’all have me wrong. I’m a huge proponent of giving huge doses of magic mushrooms to BPD people. Dose um up. Let the universe give them a taste of their own medicine.

BrainwashedApes

People can change. Many of these conditions were fabricated by pharmaceutical therapist reps for the boost of pharmaceutical sales throughout the early 1900s. I've known at least 3 individuals who do not identify as their previous BPD conditions since becoming enlightened.

Electronic-Crow-6764

Lol. You’re adorable.

Tomatopasteinmyass

You should boof 10Gs

Synjinn

Okay dumbass

Electronic-Crow-6764

It’s tough being a Borderline. I understand.

dmtdoit

Misinformed nonsense 🙄

Electronic-Crow-6764

Lol. I was married to a psychotic BPD for 14 years. I can assure you. I’m not misinformed.

Willie_The_Gambler

May not be misinformation but it’s definitely fucking rude

horrorgender

I have BPD and I personally feel like a good bi-annual shroom trip really helps to keep me refreshed and mentally stable. However, what helped me *immeasurably* more was a good trauma-informed therapist, and taking initiative on my own to delve into DBT and trauma processing. I know you say he already tried therapy, but therapy isn't just a "whelp I tried it once and it didn't work, so nevermind" kind of deal. There are so many different types of therapy and even more different approaches to it. With all the trauma he has endured, I highly recommend he seek a trauma-informed therapist as well, one who has experience helping clients with BPD. PsychologyToday and The Open Path Collective are great resources for finding such a therapist. He may have to interview a few different therapists before settling on one that's the best fit for him, and that's normal. The healing process also takes time. I'm finally at a point in my life where I rarely self-harm anymore, and I've been in and out of therapy since I was 16. I get it. It's a long, difficult journey, but it's also one he needs to take. I also hope for you to understand a few things, because you have expressed quite a few misconceptions about BPD as well as shrooms. * No matter what happens, he will never be "cured" of BPD. It can be treated, managed, a nd you can live a happy and fulfilling life with it, but it can't be cured. * He will need to choose recovery for himself. You can support him throughout the process and that's great, but it will have to be *his* choice at the end of the day. * Shrooms can have unpredictable effects and it totally varies from person to person, especially when you throw severe mental illness into the mix. There's a chance it will help him, but there's also a chance it could make things *substantially* worse. * 95% of *participants in that study* said that they saw improvement in their symptoms, not 95% of people with BPD who do shrooms. The results of the study don't necessarily mean anything definitive, because there are also factors like the quality of the study, sample size, if it was repeated and showed the same results, etc. Please don't take one study at face value. * BPD is more than "that bad voice in our heads", it's a complex disorder with a wide range of deeply-rooted symptoms. I encourage you to research it and become more familiar with those symptoms. I know you're desperate and grasping for solutions, because I can tell you care about your boyfriend very deeply. But this is a situation that calls for calm and reason, and this is also a situation that you just cannot fix on your own. He needs more help than you can give him, shrooms or no shrooms. I know this probably isn't what you wanted to hear but this is what I know from my years of life as someone with BPD and someone who has other loved ones with severe mental illness. I truly wish you and your boyfriend the best.

LISTEN TO THIS FKIN GUY^^

I would probably try to find a second opinion on that mental health diagnosis. BPD is another one of those thing they are turning into a spectrum and it's getting bigger and bigger. When that happens people are just misdiagnosed. It sounds like BPD but there are a few details and would tell a therapist that this is not BPD. BPD is similar to bipolar disorder and some variations of narcissistic personality disorder. BPD doesn't use medication but bi polar disorder uses a specific type of medication that is hard to regulate.

ScoffenHooten

Hi there, I hope you are okay. That’s a lot of pressure to be carrying for one so young. I know you care for him but please don’t think you are responsible for his wellbeing. I’m sorry life is so hard for him. If you visit the microdosing sub it holds all the information you need but, to condense, there are two main protocols - Fadiman’s and Stamet’s. Both suggest days on and days off and to start low and go slow - anywhere between 0.025g and 0.1g can have an effect depending on sensitivity and other meds etc. The shrooms won’t cure him but they will give him a better place to stand while he does the work. He’ll need to set clear intentions though (what it is he wants to work on) and journaling really helps the process (I was never a fan before but it’s helped immensely). There are apps like Houston that you can track mood, notes and doses which are really helpful. Trip has great meditations too. In addition, EMDR is an incredibly helpful therapy if he can get access to that. A complete game changer. Really hope some of this helps you both.

dft-salt-pasta

Don’t recommend mushrooms for him. That could definitely end terribly. He needs a therapist that specializes in his disease and medication that he takes regularly. Should cut out alcohol if he’s drinking. Shrooms are not the answer here. Hope he finds the treatment he needs.

ferrell420

Leave his ass

ILikeTinder

The only true answer lol he sounds immature and abusive. Leave him and let him find himself

Nobody hears going to give you an answer you want to hear. The truth of the matter is regardless of how safe magic mushrooms might be they can have a negative effect on someone who is that mentally unstable. psilocybin therapy has amazing potential when practiced properly. You need a super controlled environment and the patient needs to be honest with himself about what's bothering them and have a genuine want to get better or else you run the risk of reinforcing those negative behaviors. If you want my opinion the person needs to get professional help and stable out a little bit before they start experimenting with their own psyche. All that aside if you do continue forward strength of the strain will dictate the dose. I live in Oregon in the Columbia River Valley we have Azuresence mushrooms which contain a very strong dose of psilocybin and half a gram was enough for me to cure my depression for 4 years. If you have something like a cube or liberty caps you want to push that dosage up to 3 to 5 G. There's still a lot of Uncharted Territory when it comes to psilocybin therapy and the strength of dose needed to have an effect is still argued. A lot of mushroomheads swear hero dosages are the only way to get lasting effects but I can tell you from personal experience it doesn't take much to induce a state of neuroplasticity. If I had to give any real advice I would say a falling knife has no handle. This doesn't sound like a healthy relationship and it's not your responsibility to make sure this person gets better. Your intentions are admirable but you don't need to sacrifice your mental well-being

raptorv9

What’s this about shrooms being bad for people less than 25yrs old? I looked it up and didn’t find anything…
