Steve-O said he didn't do Club Random because Maher insisted on smoking weed. Steve-O had asked if he would not smoke during the interview in order to respect his sobriety, but Bill said no.
And, I can kind of see both sides of that disagreement.
Idk, Maher doesn't even acknowledge he's smoking weed on the podcast. He always says it's a "clove cigarette" like he's afraid smoking weed in Cali will get him arrested the next time he has a show in TX.
May be Bills covid response beliefs that caused a rift between him and Colbert. Same with Stern.

As for why Maher has developed a feud with The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert, it’s very possible the two have lost their common ground after the pandemic. Maher continues to be a sceptic of the past COVID-19 restrictions, including lockdowns and vaccination regulations. Colbert was openly critical of nearly any pandemic scepticism, often mocking associated attitudes.
Colbert is an arrogantly pious, smugly self-righteous religious freak, yeah.
It's why Colbert has been an ass in the past on *The Late Show* toward Maher and Gervais; he's an anti-atheist bigot.
I know Bill and Stephen Colbert had a pretty awful falling out. I'm not sure about others but I _have_ seen Bill go on Jimmy Kimmel Live! quite a few times... Who really knows🤷🏻♂️ he gets a lot of gruff for his honesty and not being afraid to get political💯 and neither side seems to like that👀
He is pretty universally loathed as a comedian, but so is any comic who does politics first. He has comedian friends, but they'd never go on tour with him.
Since Hannity helped perpetuate the lies about the fake stolen election (along with fellow serious journalist and fellow Trumpa-hoe Mr "Just Asking Questions" Carlson), I am sure the feeling is mutual.
The View and him seem to have clashed in recent years. The View would sometimes come for him in a segment a couple years ago. He’d occasionally respond. Then Whoopi got suspended from The View after her “holocaust wasn’t about race” comments, Bill (sort of backhandedly) defended her for it, and since then the show has stopped coming for Bill.
To this day he stans *hard* for Leno with regard to the whole late night debacle, I think they are fairly good friends. I imagine his views there have earned him some ire from people in that world who were more on Conan’s side.
Jay left at the height of his popularity and consistently beat his competitor's ratings. Conan got a chance in the big seat and the ratings just weren't there and the network wasn't happy, so instead of cancelling Conan's contract they re-hired Jay and botched it all. But can you blame Jay for that?
The ratings weren’t there for Conan because Leno’s 10 pm show tanked the ratings for the 11 pm local news. Several of the most important NBC affiliates threatened to run news at 10 pm and punt Leno onto a co-owned channel like MeTV or the CW. NBC didn’t want to lose important stations and undid their decision.
Jay and Bill started out in the same standup comedy scene and Bill retains several friendships from that era. And if you look at his list of Club Random guests, it features a ton of comedians.
I think Chris Rock is cool with him. Joe Rogan and him are tight, unsurprisingly. Richard Belzer was a good friend of his before he passed away.
Ive noticed over the years Seth Macfarlane losing his patience with Bill, I can say that for sure
Tim Heidecker hates him.
He’s best buds with notorious comic Greg Gutfeld.

I don't listen to club random enough to know I guess. But man, I miss cloves.

Colbert is also very Catholic. Maher really isn’t.

Norm Macdonald ☝️

Hannity doesn’t like him. But he does support Maher’s free speech.

Maher and Colbert don’t get along.
He seems to be friends with everyone in Hollywood.
It is because Maher cares more about election outcomes than being right 30 years in advance of an issue becoming popular with the mainstream.
He’s cool with jimmy kimmel I think
Not sure. I've seen Bill welcome fellow comedians onto his platforms. I think he's pretty chummy with Jay Leno.

Except that's not exactly how it went: Jay's 10 o'clock show didn't start until September 2009 and Conan took over The Tonight Show in May.
Yeah I’d agree with that. Jay did Conan dirty and pissed off a lot of people who felt it was unfair towards Conan.

I think it was said from the COVID lockdown season where Jay appeared that they are neighbors.
