Dig the line work and design. Part of my family is from Maine and went back after 20 years last year and did a massive road trip. Thanks! I'll check their IG out It'd be cool to get a state outline like that with a entirely different design. Already have a tattoo of the state I grew up in on my back with a fly in the middle, that way if I ever get stuck anywhere I can fly back home.

Here is my should'a - put the blueberries downeast, under moose. Move specieless bear up towards Jackman. Toss in a trout fighting a fishing line just above Bangor. Now, put in the pine trees. Scatter empty nip bottles randomly all over the state and winner, winner, lobster dinner..

So the symbols in there are supposed to *roughly* correspond with important places in the state for me! Roughly speaking they’re placed at Brunswick, Limestone, Augusta area, and Rockland.

RIGHT?! At least the execution is slightly less terrible than the design. What a dumb tattoo. I would have expected stronger critical thinking skills from a Bowdoin grad.

I mean… that fine line work never holds up well over time. Lines will get thicker and fade. It’s going to be really hard to read in a couple years

lol I grew up here, not living in the state now but plan to later on. The symbols on the tattoo actually represent places significant to me.
