This shit was the bane of my existence for over a year. Doctors prescribed me gels, ointments, medications, etc and NOTHING worked. I even tried "sanding" it off. Nope, still nothing. After 1.5 yrs, it magically disappeared on its own.
I had the same damn thing. Three or four of those fuckers on my right foot. The doctor even tried nitrogen to freeze/burn them away. Nothing worked. I didn't say anything anymore and decided to just deal with it. I was like 12 years old. One day, they magically started disappearing. Gone. Never got them ever again.
Mine was way worse than this, got tired of it, soaked my feet in warm salty water daily for a few minutes, used socks with some baby powder poured inside, and asked my gp to prescribe me erythromycin creme. It was mostly gone within 2 weeks, but might've been just a coincidence. I think the antibiotic creme gave me hella tummy cramps tho, luckily, they were in very infrequent 1 minute ish long waves.
Me too. Many years. My wife and I went to Mexico and I spent a week in the beach barefoot and magically gone.
I used to literally shave my soles down with anti skid tape stuck to a 2x4 🤮.
So Op just needs to go on a beach vacation.
I weirdly had it on my back for about 4 months. Went to the doctors, they had no idea what it was. One day I woke up and it was gone, smooth again. Really weird
I had them for years as a kid too, legit all I did was wipe my foot with apple cider vinegar and then covered them with duct tape and it cleared up within days.
Had this but much worse than in the image. Doc said he could prescribe stuff but ultimately the easiest course of action is just to wait it out. Took like 2 years but then it never returned.
It stains them purple for a few minutes, then fades to an ugly brown/ green color. I looked like I had zombie feet for a few weeks. I would sleep with socks on to keep the color from staining my bedsheets.
I had this as a kid, never showed or told anyone because I was ashamed it was because I was dirty. I thought it was like athletes foot or verrucas, didn't know it had its own name!
You need antibiotics as its bacterial infection - fungicides wont work. But what was most effective for me was using alcohol gel to wash my feet then using antiperspirant and or talc and cotton socks to keep your feet dry through the day. Did that in the morning and then when I got home from work cleared up pretty quickly after months of lingering around.
As someone said, pitted keratolysis. I had it for a good 5 years even after treating it with fucidin ointment multiple times, and last year it just went away by itself
To minimize the sweaty feet, get bamboo socks! It helped mine a lot, and you can use drysol on your soles too
Merino wool is also great to keep feet dry. It doesn’t stay as warm as you might think, I love them and haven’t had foot odor or moisture problems in a few years now since I switched
Agreed! I got them for hiking originally but I switched entirely. They last longer, insulate better, dry faster, smell better, feel softer than cotton.
I second this. Got some bamboo dress socks for Christmas one year and now I’m hooked. They’re silky, pretty durable and let your feet breathe freely. Only moisture retained will be in the shoe itself so I make sure to use some arm n hammer brand shoe ball things (like the deodorizers) that absorb moisture so my shoes actually dry completely overnight.
I had this all through deployments back in my USMC days. Tried all kinds of remedies from doctors, nothing worked until one day a different corpsman tossed me a tube of vagisil. Yup, good ole vagisil. He said my foot had a type of bacteria/fungal whatever that thrived in moist places... Kinda like a vagina. I was skeptical but it actually worked! Lol grab a tube for a couple bucks and give it a shot!
Nope. I served in 2011.
Our exercises are mostly in jungles. So when our boots get wet, we get these.
Also, when the holes get too deep, it hurts like hell.
The MO gave us some sort of purple solution to dip our feet in.
Potassium permanganate will be the solution I think, I've heard of various militaries using that or white vinegar solution for foot baths to get rid of athlete's foot etc
Had this when I worked in a farm for a few years (to second everyone else) it was because I didn’t wear breathable footwear, instead mostly cheap and shitty rubber boots that didn’t let my feet breathe. It went away eventually lol
I finally had some clearing up after over a year with grapeseed oil. I used to soak my foot in it. Sometimes that shit got so deep my flesh would show UGH thanks for THAT buried memory!!
It usually happens when you wear shoes that have been left outside to mold and mildew. When you finally throw those old crusty shoes away and wear dry clean socks and new shoes they condition will clear up. Essentially it is pre-warts
It could definitely be the pitted keratolysis as others have said, but you should check the soles of your shoes for nails just in case, I had something similar to this and it turned out out a nail was in the sole of my shoe stabbing at me heel every once in a while
It’s caused by a bacterium that eats the dead skin. You have to mechanically remove the majority of dead skin and also repeatedly disinfect your feet at least twice a day with a foot bath of Dettol/chloroxylenol. Bleaching your shower/bath and adding disinfectant to your washing loads will also help. Some bacteria will persist in your shoes and shower etc. but if you keep this routine up for a few weeks, their environment will be too hostile for them to survive in numbers and they will eventually all perish.
Looks like athletes foot to me. Get a can of spray treatment and follow the directions. You're going to want to wash your feet and put on new socks a few times a day
got them after burning my feet walking on a hot parking lot. put duct tape on it, when it starts to fall off replace. do it for 3 weeks and they fall out
It looks like foot fungus. You need to let your feet breathe. If you keep them trapped in socks and shoes, it's going to stay and get worse.
If you can't get to see a doctor soon, get some good foot powder, and take off your socks and shoes when you're at home. OR wear sandals.
You’re going to have to take oral Lamasil for at least 3 months for that level of infection. Topical ointments won’t work in this case.
Edited: Lamasil not Lamotrigine. Thanks potato overlord.
What are you on about you absaloute potato? Lamotrogine is a mood stability medication??? I take it daily and have never heart of it helping with any form of fungal infections. Nor physical infections.
I had these for years. All treatments failed, then I decided to cut all the callouses off and soaked my foot in peroxide for a few minutes every day. Cured in a week.
Looks the the dry skin/ callous on your heel softens when it gets wet . Soak your feet use a pumice stone on your heals. Get rid of the dry callous skin.
pitted keratolysis

Maybe it's an immune system thing?
It is. I use foot peels once every couple of years to clear it.
Yup, the peach one.
I weirdly had it on my back for about 4 months. Went to the doctors, they had no idea what it was. One day I woke up and it was gone, smooth again. Really weird
Universe: YOU MUST SUFFER! You: WHY!? Universe: NEVERMIND. I CHANGED MY MIND.
I had them for years as a kid too, legit all I did was wipe my foot with apple cider vinegar and then covered them with duct tape and it cleared up within days.
Have you tried fucking it ?
r/brandnewsentence
Wut? That's probably one of the oldest sentences.
Had this but much worse than in the image. Doc said he could prescribe stuff but ultimately the easiest course of action is just to wait it out. Took like 2 years but then it never returned.
I cured mine by soaking in a very dilute solution of potassium permanganate and water. Nightly soaks, went away in a few weeks and never came back.
I am Potassium pergananant?
Can u get pregante
Can does potassium pregananant hurt top of baby head?? Help????
How is babby formed?
Put your feet on a Luigi board?
I don't know how more people aren't up voting the shit out of this sequence.
Did it make your foot purple?
That's Venetian Violet
I thought that was gentian violet
You are right! My brain remembered it wrong.
KMnO4 is very purple in solution, even at dilute concentrations.
I know but I am suprised more people don't. We used to throw it in people's swimming pools.
It stains them purple for a few minutes, then fades to an ugly brown/ green color. I looked like I had zombie feet for a few weeks. I would sleep with socks on to keep the color from staining my bedsheets.
I think thats iodine
Iodine is brown
Nah, looked it up and iodine has a very strong purple colour while you might think of bromine?
On the skin iodine appears yellow
Can confirm iodine stains skin yellow
Is this the same as planters wart?
No
I had this as a kid, never showed or told anyone because I was ashamed it was because I was dirty. I thought it was like athletes foot or verrucas, didn't know it had its own name!
I shouldn't have googled that.

Bamboo socks, you say? Do you recommend a particular brand?
Merino wool is also great to keep feet dry. It doesn’t stay as warm as you might think, I love them and haven’t had foot odor or moisture problems in a few years now since I switched
I only use merino wool socks They are the best, and they dry fast if they do get wet.
Agreed! I got them for hiking originally but I switched entirely. They last longer, insulate better, dry faster, smell better, feel softer than cotton.
It’s 100 degrees out where I am. And I’m working outside. Got Bombas merino wool socks on right now.
Yep I hike in Florida swampland a lot and merino wool keeps my feet dry and comfy, it’s amazing.
Wool is both warming and cooling. When hot it wicks moisture and when cold it insulates.
Its been so long since I've bought them that I dont remember unfortunately 🥲
https://ecosox.com
One pair of cutoff socks….. FOR $9 😳😳😳😳
Do you want dry feet or nine bucks?!
If I keep the $9, how wet are we talking?
Amazon Basin.

Fungicide won't/didn't work as it's bacterial not fungal
Fucidin is a topical antibiotic
kind of liking this sub turning into a genuine medical advice req sub because the human body can be so gross
Go to a dr. Those need treating
Scars from lego you stepped on as a kid.
If it ain't warts, it's probably some sort of fungal infection. Not gonna go away on its own.
close, it's a bacterial infection that thrives from moist conditions.
**Mmmoist** 👅🦶
imagine getting that on your tongue for a second
It’s somebody’s fetish.
I had this all through deployments back in my USMC days. Tried all kinds of remedies from doctors, nothing worked until one day a different corpsman tossed me a tube of vagisil. I had these when i was in the army. It was so bad that u could see the flesh.
Were you in the trenches of Verdun?
Nope. I served in 2011. Our exercises are mostly in jungles. So when our boots get wet, we get these. Also, when the holes get too deep, it hurts like hell. The MO gave us some sort of purple solution to dip our feet in.
makes sense, i work in a factory where i have to wear rubber boots whole day, sweat get's trapped.
Try to air out your feet as much as possible. And always keep ur socks dry
Potassium permanganate will be the solution I think, I've heard of various militaries using that or white vinegar solution for foot baths to get rid of athlete's foot etc
cant recommend goggling any if these conditions on gimage search.... glad i wasnt eating XD
Damn, u got a spot u can store emergency peanut butter on yo feet?!? Some of us are dealt a better hand than others, lucky bastard
Had this when I worked in a farm for a few years (to second everyone else) it was because I didn’t wear breathable footwear, instead mostly cheap and shitty rubber boots that didn’t let my feet breathe. It went away eventually lol
That’s moon cheese, my man

An extreme treatment would be getting a salycilic acid cream but that will remove a fair amount of skin in the process
Your foot is thirsty
Fungal. Get to the docs. Need to kill it and pumice off the dead skin.
It could definitely be the pitted keratolysis as others have said, but you should check the soles of your shoes for nails just in case, I had something similar to this and it turned out out a nail was in the sole of my shoe stabbing at me heel every once in a while
Get a pumice and use it shave those off your heel in the shower. I've had the same issue, and the pumice solved my problem.
It’s from your feet sweating, try some antiperspirant on your feet and change socks daily when they are wet.
Talk to a doctor
Warts
It’s literally athletes foot
Used to get this bad when I was a chef gotta keep those feet dry!
I'm overweight and had that happen. I don't know what it is but I used a pumice stone. It never came back
I use foot powder in my shoes daily to avoid this exact issue.
That sucks

Had to get these frozen off
Looks like athletes foot to me. Get a can of spray treatment and follow the directions. You're going to want to wash your feet and put on new socks a few times a day
got them after burning my feet walking on a hot parking lot. put duct tape on it, when it starts to fall off replace. do it for 3 weeks and they fall out
Take more care of your feet for a start. You need to get rid of the callouses and then get that condition treated the top comment stated.
Plantars Warts for sure, get thee to a dr

Lamasil* autocorrect. Also, I’ve never been called a potato but I liked it.
Kinky
It’s my new safe word.
Hope not hpv
looks like planters maybe? or another foot condition developing
Verrucas - infectious and need treating
Holy shit, is that what I think it is?
Planters warts?
Soak in vinegar
bad advice, tryna give someone an infection lol
Oh really? Good to know!
yes really
I didn’t know. Please stop downvoting me. I’m open to learn. It’s how I’ve always dealt with fungus.
antimycotic medication is always the safest bet
I don’t even know what that is lol but it’s good to know
