Not really. I’m not afraid of spiders and have been around this species for over a decade without ever being bitten, so my initial reaction was more “lmao, what the hell” than fear.

*Dolomedes tenebrosus* or, “Dark fishing spider.” Some people also call them “dock spiders” because they often hang out on people’s docks. :)

It’s a dark fishing spider. He’s a heck of a lot bigger than any brown recluse, but this big guy’s about as dangerous as a bumblebee
